I can't say enough about my positive, excellent experience with WordPress.com and their customer service reps called Happiness Engineers.
I chose the company to design and host a new website I needed to showcase and sell gemstone necklaces I make.
I signed up for WordPress business plan which comes with Help desk support. On each of my interactions I received friendly, helpful, upbeat sounding email replies that helped me understand how to implement certain features into my website.
Every Happiness Engineer was eager to help- they were genuinely happy to help me create very nice design for my website and wished for it to go into the GOOGLE universe with best success. They all sound like your supportive friends wishing you success.
Business plan also comes with onboarding sessions, planned at your time and date of choosing and a professional designer works with you at the meet up session to do some tweaks that the website will benefit from .
I have a website for a different business of mine for the last 3 years, with inadequate performance. The yearly hosting for it expires in March. I will only trust WordPress to design and host a new website as well- I trust them completely and know that all my needs at scaling my business for the next years will be fully met.
I highly recommend WordPress business plan, because the immediate, friendly, helpful interactions with Happiness Engineers are priceless support in the process of designing and launching the best website you want for your products.

The ease of initial set-up compared to others.

Wordpress is amazing. My website is easy to edit as needed to keep it updated and I can do it all myself and not have to hire out.

I like to write and share and this makes it all possible. Not just for me, but for alot of others that find joy in that too.

Nick was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and was passionate about giving me the solutions I needed.

I can't say enough good/great things about the assistance Happiness Engineer Nick Severson provided me during my on-boarding and follow-up sessions for the establishment & tweaking of my website, thesolesurvivingson.com.

Nick was extremely personable, patient and accommodating with this 72-year-old to get the look "just so" I wanted for the website. That Nick took the trouble to follow through after our sessions, providing videos of our online meetings as well as transcription of his notes of our sessions, is truly commendable. In addition, he provided numerous links to URLs that will be valuable to me going forward. Kudos to Nick & Kudos to WordPress for employing him. Simply fantastic....

My experience with WordPress and Fasthosts has been deeply disappointing.

I originally built a full e‑commerce site on WordPress years ago, when the platform was intuitive, stable, and genuinely user‑friendly. Unfortunately, it has now become so over‑engineered that even simple tasks turn into multi‑day battles.

Across multiple days I experienced collapsing blocks, missing styling controls, unselectable containers, theme‑locked patterns, and inconsistent behaviour that made basic work impossible. Instead of supporting me through these issues, Fasthosts repeatedly attempted to shift responsibility onto my theme or my actions — a pattern that felt dismissive, unreliable, and at times bordering on gaslighting. There was no meaningful accountability, and the “gesture of goodwill” offered after days of lost income amounted to just over £60, which felt more insulting than supportive.

In the end, I had no choice but to migrate my business website to another platform. This wasn’t a decision I took lightly, but the instability of the platform combined with extremely poor customer service left me with no confidence in continuing.

In my opinion, WordPress has become bloated, slow, unresponsive, and no longer fit for purpose — and Fasthosts’ handling of the situation only reinforced my decision to leave.

WordPress did such a wonderful job creating my website. It looks amazing and I would highly recommend working with them.

I was struggling to complete building my website. Wordpress volunteered to complete it for me in 4 days. It turned out great and “impressive.” It is wonderful and I am so pleased.

So easy it is to build a webpage today and then WP makes it complicated and illogically to make simple changes. Unfortunately our developer chose that platform.

Most of the time, the use of the WP tools is intuitive. But when it gets a bit confusing I click on the ? sign for help and that always helps.

I want to give an applause and credit for WordPress account service and their people. They are truly there for customer. Many online services lack of this kind of immediate response and action. Professional, no-nonsense and overall performance: No-lip, get things done, fast response and immediately understanding my problem. Enough said, I know it might not work for everybody, but the attitude is there, always.

I was having trouble logging into our site and a bunch of pages were broken. I was thinking there was a major issue. I am so little of a tech person that I didn't even know how to describe the issue. This "Happiness Engineer" logs on and fixes the first issue in like two minutes, something with "Jetpack." Then I lamely describe the second issue and he fixed it in two more minutes -- "redirects," apparently. Can't believe he could diagnose those issues so fast, let alone fix them.
