Ordered a rug and one sent that looked a bit like the picture but that was it, not what I thought I was buying. Now have to return at my cost!

Modern Rugs U.K. doesn’t understand the meaning of customer service!
I ordered & paid for this rug on recommendation from my daughter, whom had recently taken delivery of a rug for herself. Mine arrived in June, I noticed straight away that it was far from perfect (unlike my daughters) but failed to contact the company due to serious bad health problems within the family. As the rug was shredding & getting worse, I contacted the company (sending photos) with regard to an exchange (not a refund). They however quoted that after 6 months (mine was 7 months old) that legally it was down to wear & tear! There are two adults living here, no pets or children & as my daughter pointed out, it hasn’t had any wear & tear. I have written on a couple of occasions asking for the managing director to contact me (which hasn’t happened) I just receive emails back quoting the consumer laws. I would advise everyone that if you can’t afford to replace a rug every seven months, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
