Upgraded to the 1.2G Internet Monday…

Upgraded to the 1.2G Internet Monday (11/21), returned Wednesday (11/23) because it keeps dropping every 1.5 hrs. Support, restart router 8658765876 times. Continues to drop. Support, it needs an update, restart router. Continues to drop. If this were my company I'd be f***ing embarrassed. Routers are garbage, techs are incompetent and management is clearly a bunch potatoes. Sad thing is, all the rest of these POS Internet companies are the same.

Bad internet service

I’m constantly having to go on phone and try connecting the internet. I have turned off and on moteum as well but the internet is still not connected. Happens all day and night! Customer service is terrible, and there is no local office where you can go in for service.

Worst company on the planet

Worst company on the planet. Big warning! Make sure you read this before you subscribe because they will never, never, never ever let you go out of the contract. Of course they say that you can cancel any time even pro-rated, but it won't ever happen. The only way to cancel the contract is by phone and this is how it went in the last 2 months when calling them:
1. they connected me endless times till I gave up
2. they told me they cannot understand me ...
3. they said they accepted the cancellation but did nothing and just keep billing me
4. go back to #1 and cycle 10 times .... this what happened to us and problem still not solved. I hope somebody will file a lawsuit against these scammers and take them out of business to avoid further damage for other people.

Come back to my service area

I had WOW for over 5 years and have only one single incident. Unfortunately due to a buyout in my area, I had to say goodbye to the service provider who gave me the most stable service for my money. COME BACK!! 5 YEARS :(

On top of squeezing the bandwidth

On top of squeezing the bandwidth and charging you the same price, this criminal organization is now charging for going over a mythical data point. On top of this there is zero customer service and their router is straight garbage (reset almost every other day). Sad thing is every other POS Americant Internet company does the same crap. Would not recommend. For anyone.

3rd motem in 3 years

3rd motem in 3 years. Most nights there’s lag and spotty service at some point. I can’t switch companies because my city won’t lay lines. Screwed by incompetency and poor service. I was on hold for 52 minutes tonight with no resolution. Not even sure what to do

I give them zero stars if possible

I give them zero stars if possible . Switch to Spectrum do to there terrible customer service with internet disruptions.
The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing at this WOW Cable .Returned there equipment by Fedex they accepted the modem and have tracking proof .They send me a bill for non returned equipment,even though I have proof I returned it . Everyone and the mother said don't use the drop boxes the screw up those returns all the time .Anyhow a nightmare trying to actually speaking to someone with a brain who can speak understandable English at Wow cable about the situation. There great rates don't last long either after a year they're right up there with Spectrum. Just go to Spectrum pay the extra money for good service and a place to actually pick up and return you equipment in person to a Spectrum employee who scans it in and gives you a receipt .Sometimes a good deal actually cost you more then the more expensive option,THAT IS WOW terrible company! Most important at Spectrum you can actually speak ''in person'' to someone who understands English to actually help you with your problem . This company counts on new customers that hook them into there good deals definitely not being a good consumer oriented business.

So where to start....

WOW had maintenance in my area for noise on the lines and once this has been done my internet just took a massive drop in speed and I was getting 35% packet loss when trying to visit any website. I then called to have someone come out to look at my internet to fix the issue that they created, a tech came out and worked on my internet for 2 1/2 hours and stated that the issue is not at my home but somewhere on the line and a maintenance tech needs to come resolve this issue "I will schedule someone to come out tomorrow". The next day they sent out another tech... not a maintenance tech but a normal tech who couldn't fix the issue.... He got on the phone and scheduled a maintenance tech to come out that day right in front of me on speaker phone well.... I waited and waited all day and then called WOW customer support and they said the maintenance tech couldn't make it so it's scheduled for tomorrow.... So i waited until tomorrow and called around 8PM then called WOW customer support and they said "The ticket is still open so he will be working there soon" I waited until 10PM called again and was told "The tech is scheduled for tomorrow" I then called the next day and was told "The maintenance tech is scheduled to come out tomorrow"

Still no maintenance tech has come to my house.... and a supervisor has told me "The appointment that I had scheduled 3 days prior for maintenance is for tomorrow" I then realized that either WOW has customer support reps that lie or they hire a 3rd party company to do their maintenance that just doesn't show up.

I would not recommend this service because all though it might be great speeds at a good price! The first time you ever have any issues with your service IT WILL BE A MIGHTMARE TO FIX IT! This has cost me so much time an effort to resolve and still hasn't been fixed. I would never recommend this internet company to anyone and there is a reason they have so many bad reviews, it's because they can't fix your internet once they break it.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. A technician came to our neighbor's house to install WOW service. During his work, he disconnected our service and left. Even when I walked outside and told him that our service just went down while he was still working, he just said "whatever, I'm just working on this customer's cable". He also left the cable boxes half open with the cable wires exposed on the ground. Called WOW! and they said it would take them 5 days to come and fix their mistake.
Called Spectrum, they were able to set up the service on the same day. Then called WOW and cancelled them.

Never ending nighmares

Never ending nighmares. Their cable speed are always slow and nowhere near the speed I pay for. Recently they shut down to do a 4 hour maintenance the other night. Next day. Cable down. My router would not work at all. Customer service gave me a song and dance while I was unable to work remotely because of this. Called Netgear. Took 8 hours! (Yes, true because I need to work $$$). Once connection was restablished my top speed is now 5M! I was getting 250M (I pay for 500m). Called WOW again. Customer service kept putting me on hold. After 20 mins. They said they were still working on it and if we lose the phone call they will call me back was skeptical). Going on 2 hours. Nothing so far. Anyway. This is one story of many.Tthey are the only game in town and now probably the reason I am going to move. Anyone giving them more than 3 stars works for WOW.

Contract Fraud!

Be advised: For 13 months, WOW has auto drafted our corporate account under a legally binding contract by more than $180 monthly plus all applicable taxes. The representative claims to only be able to refund our account for 6 months, or less than half of the contractual over charges. A complaint with FTC and the attorney general has been made.

They are easily the worst provider with…

They are easily the worst provider with the absolute worst customer service in the industry. Their outsourced support agents are unable to provide any assistance outside of their scripts and worse are unable to actually understand the issues brought to them. This lack of customer service extends beyond their level 1 agents on up as supervisors and managers either refuse to speak to customers or ard entirely missing. Additionally those that monitor social media are just as lax and uncaring in their duties as nothing gets resolved no matter how it is brought to this companies attention.

WOW? Good luck Chuck!

If you have any service issues, good luck getting them resolved in a timely manner. I called on Tuesday because my internet was out. I was told that a tech wouldn't be available until Friday. The tech cam but couldn't fix whatever is wrong so he said that his supervisor would call me and come by to solve the problem. That was hours ago. Now when I call the home office, they tell me that they can't send another tech until Sunday. So I'm without internet for nearly a week and during that week I have two days that I have to be stuck at home because the technicians can't resolve my issues. I am less than WOW'ed by this disregard for my service. I suggest you go with some other comapny.

I have been with Wow

I have been with Wow! For a year now and i love it. I have great internet and their large cable package and i could not be happier with them. My bill is also affordable i'm so glad i found wow!. My only complaint is they can have long hold times.

Very good price to service ratio and the price doesn't go up like the other providers. Only problem with wow is sometimes the internet drops to below 1mbps but it doesn't last long and it comes back to normal. Overall very happy..

I cut back from cable and internet to…

I cut back from cable and internet to just internet only with wifi.
Internet works for us. Three people using it, 1 Streams, 1 does gaming and the other searches/reads on tablet. Only lags maybe two or three times a months. Price is a bit steep but you can call and negotiate prices, sometimes.... depends on the specialist you get a month's. And how her day is going. Better than the other companies in our area.
