Scam alert!!!

I had never heard of this insurance company before. Suddenly, out of nowhere, they sent me a letter stating that I had signed up for an insurance contract with them. I have exercised my right to withdrawal by sending them an email. Beware of this scam.

I have never heard of this insurance until today when I received a letter from them claiming I signed up for their insurance policy for 1 year starting Nov. 1, 2025-Nov.1, 2026.
I am sending them a strongly-worded rejection letter together with the so called policy they sent to me. I will be back here to update on the progess.

I haven’t signed a insurance policy with them, I don’t how I got in to this insurance. They are booking 30Euros per month from my account.
And 4 months ago I have cancelled this policy on their website, still they are taking money from my account.
I feel helpless and I have no basic right in Germany

Beware! This company lured me in through shady websites, only to deny my claim as “invalid” after reporting a claim. Attempting to opt out turned into a ghosting session—once you’re in, they ignore your pleas for freedom. Their so-called “4.9 rating” on their site? Most likely a farce. They most likely audit their own reviews to seem trustworthy. Meanwhile, on legitimate platforms like Trustpilot, the reality is stark with 93% of their reviews being 1-star testimonials.

I had a big accident in bali where I broke my foot and needed fast financially support from the auslandskrankenversicherung to pay the surgery 10.000€. Luckily Würzburger was there to pay the fee in 3 hours and then they booked the flight back with business class. Best experience on an insurance I ever had. Definitely recommend them to everyone. I don’t like the Company too much. I have the Travel Secure insurance for a gap year I’m doing. My partner has the same. It happened to us several times that they don’t sent us money for a visit by a doctor. I’ve contacted them and they replied after 4 weeks: “we’re sorry but there was a mistake on our end with the money withdraw, we’ll sent it to you now”. This could happen once, but as it happened to both of us on different dates, I highly assume it’s a shady practice of them to not instantly withdraw the money but just wait if the customer will complain about the not yet received money. Highly unreliable from what I experienced.

They automatically sign up for the Insurance and do not cancel.

They don't require your signature for signing up a new contract. But to cancel they require a document to be sent back to them which should be signed up.

Maxda and this company signed me up for unnecessary insurance.
