Our Experience of Horrific Service.

First of all I would like to say that if this was a review purely on the product I would give it 5 stars. However, as far as this company's service and attitude goes it would be zero.

Despite the terms and conditions shown on the website, they have an invite for special requests which we followed.

We did not get a pallet truck on the day of the delivery. The phone box was therefore left on our drive at the front of our property, much to my annoyance, because I did not want to advertise the fact that we had purchased an expensive phone box!

After an unpleasant conversation with Martin White (Managing Director) he eventually agreed to send two men with a pallet truck the following day, to position the phone box on a pallet next to the base, as stated on their website. However, this is not what was agreed to in our special request. I bought the phone box on condition that it could be positioned on the base. That was my condition of purchase. I have emails and more importantly recorded phone calls that confirm this thankfully, because I began to think I was going mad.

Speaking to the Martin is a waste of time as he endlessly quotes the terms and conditions from their website and doesn't listen. Ours was a special request and our request was not met.

Martin said he would speak to his co-director and get back to me. All I got back yet another day later was an insulting, bog standard reply, again referring to their standard terms and conditions. As I said Martin does not listen and simply goes round in circles. I didn't bother to reply to him.

We eventually resolved the situation by asking a reliable builder, who we had recently used, if he could help. He arrived promptly with three other men (All sturdy builders). It took a fifth person to get the phone box onto the base. It wasn't easy. It was a strategic and difficult task, eventually resolved by five very experienced men.

Please beware of false promises when dealing with this company. As I said the product is superb. The service appalling. We didn't even get a receipt, or acknowledgement of receipt of the balance (a large sum of money) until one week after paying, and that was only because we contacted them to query it. No apology was offered.

If buying from this company, make sure you have between four and six strong men (and most importantly with experience) otherwise it will be impossible to install the phone box on it's base. Do not listen to tales that there won't be any problem, because X2 Connect have no interest in customer care or support once they have your money, and the delivery is made.

X2 Connect made the whole experience so unpleasant that I even considered cancelling the order completely and sending it back in line with my statutory rights.
