Internet has been horrible for months. They have sent three techs out none of them have done anything. Jitter over 300+ packet loss up to 50%. Overall useless customer service. Just awful frustrating... See more

Comcast is horrible on all levels. Their fees are outrageous and the service is lousy. I have been forced to use them for almost 20 years because they have a monopoly on the part of town where I live.... See more

Comcast is horrible on all levels

Comcast is horrible on all levels. Their fees are outrageous and the service is lousy. I have been forced to use them for almost 20 years because they have a monopoly on the part of town where I live. I find billing errors constantly, my "Blast" internet speed is no faster than before, yet costs more. The basic TV channel package is full of obscure and worthless channels that no one wants. The FCC needs to do their job and stop allowing TV and internet providers from blocking competition in certain areas,

Bad installation, poor engineer service, false speed tests.

1. xfinity installation engineers took the longest route possible from the pole to the modem.
2. The engineers left cable on the floor creating a trip hazard on two garden paths. I had that corrected.
3. For some reason the installation engineers connected my router to thiers. Having duplicate routers doesn't make sense, and risks slowing speeds. It only makes sense if your router is better than xfinity's.

I started to get very slow speeds (up 2mbs) and crashes.

1. The telephone technical service told me the slow speed was due to a firmware update. In all, customer service and technical support too nearly 4 hours on the phone to correct the problem. The solution proved temporary.

2. xfinity technical phone line support told me my router as unnecessary and not as good as Xfinity's. I disconnected mne. Another 4 hours lost.

3. The problems returned. Another 2 hours lost on customer care phone line but they promised to send one of their best technicians who would if necessary to replace the xfinity modem router.

The engineer took 1.5 hours to fail. Then he told me it was all my fault. The xfinity router/modem is placed in the middle of my moderate house, as advised by xfinity. The furthest point from it to any point in the house is no greater than 30ft.

The engineer refused to replace the xfinity router / modem as promised.

The engineer kept asking what speed I expect. I repeatedly replied that speed which Comcast xfinity contracted to supply me, which is over 10 times the 2mbs I was getting.

The engineer told me I should not pay any attention to Comcast on-line technical assistance. In other words some in Comcast think others in Comcast are useless and misleading.

So I suggested the engineer reconnect my router back to the way the way the installation engineers had. He refused.

From the time I got home for the appointment to the time the engineer left was nearly 3.5 hours wasted.

All this involved repeated speed tests.

Ten minutes after the engineer had left I reconnected my router and that solved the problem.

It seems Concasts router is crap or the one I have is faulty, but the engineer refused to replace it. Xfinity's telephone technical assistance should not have told me to replace it.

Then I did speed tests.

xfinity's speed test said I was now getting a marvellous 44 mbs or better.

Five other independent speed tests told em I was getting around the mid-20 mbs.

Comcast xfinity seem to be vastly exaggerating their internet speeds

I've lost around 4 days of my life solving this. But think of the time and money that Comcast xfinity is wasting. By reviews here, it seems my problems are common place.

That suggests Comcast exfinity is close is wasting vast sums which should put any company at risk, poor investment. Better sell Comcast shares if you have any.

But Comcast is one of only 2 or three internet suppliers available in anyone place. A virtual monopoly so Comcast can make customer pay for Comcast's inefficiency. When that happened market forces are not wrong and the governments duty is to regulate.

Lies about rate just to get you to sign …

Lies about rate just to get you to sign and after I told the retention line all they said was it doesn't matter what is on the recording. All I wanted was an honest straight forward answer and couldn't even get that. Also still never got a call from support about my app and the things I can't do in it anymore like trouble shoot my internet my self.

Its ComCast

Its ComCast. They literally buy their way into a state sponsored monopoly and then they fund politicians on both sides of the political isle to pretend to hate and fight each other when its all just a show so they can keep the monopoly alive and well for their donors.

Monopolizes

Monopolizes small "Mom and Pop" type co-opps out of town. Traps unsuspecting internet users, forcefully, in the "loop", or passaround for Pete's sake, which I find to be painstakingly horrible customer service. Xfinity internet, or Comcast subsidy, can go to hell. I am assuming I will have horrible service via my phone today. Lol #USAGoArmy! #Supportthemilitary #hatersupportcops #childrenfirst

Nothing about it was good

One of their sales slime came around offering a "too good to pass up" deal. He made promises that he clearly knew they were not going to fulfill.

1) The price was wrong; $40 wrong!
2) The initial install of 3 boxes failed. Only the DVR worked. Diagnosed the system myself to find he had put an amplifier in the wrong place.
3) Installer left trash in the attic, behind the TV, in my driveway, and in the street. This included small plastic parts, bags, and sheet metal screws!
4) Needed another installer to fix #2.
5) They ran new cable by throwing it on the ground with the promise someone else would bury it. Someone did show up a few days later, but the didn't bury ALL the cable. They didn't bury the cable even an inch deep in places. They also dug up the Pavers near the house, but didn't place them back properly. They are now uneven and tilt when stepped on.
6) The people burying the cable cut off the old cable and left it in the back yard along with cable mounting items, a plastic bag, and ( you guessed it ) sheet metal screws.
7) I tried to contact "Customer Service" online. Sent a message 3 times, but received NO response. Eventually called. They offered to send a tech. We agreed on a time / date, no one ever showed up.
8) Ripped it all out and exercised my 30 day return option by taking it all to one of their stores. Now they are trying to bill me for all that install plus a second month.
9) There was an HD picture, but motion was a problem. It didn't handle that very well.
10) The PAUSE is extremely slow. I measured 8 seconds or more for some programming. Completely useless if you want to pause to see some image at length, which I do.

I have had ATT Uverse since it was first offered in this area. It is head and shoulders above this junk! And, ATT's CS, though tedious to get through their gauntlet of useless information, is also superior. They WILL get to resolution.

Clearly, the ComCast lives down to their reputation. It would appear they just want to ignore it until I might give up and just pay out. That ain't happening.

I gave them ample time to address the situation. I received NOTHING from them.
