I have changed my account from Premium…

I have changed my account from Premium to Basic more than 3 months ago, and surprisingly XING took me 239,40€ this week without my permission. I have complained and I didn’t get any response... Unbelievable. I am extremely disappointed. Additionally, I have deleted my debit card detail and they have used it.
Never ever open an account on XING.

DON'T YOU EVER TRY TO SUBSCRIBE XING

DON'T YOU EVER TRY TO SUBSCRIBE XING. My account was charged even after I canceled my subscription before the renewal date. Their answer, "WE SHOULD CANCEL IT 3 WEEKS PRIOR". Funny! This company is a total scam please don't ever use it. I wish I can rate 0 star because they deserve it.

Xing is the biggest BS ever

Xing is the biggest BS ever. For private people and for companies, you don't need it anyways so please stay far away from it.

The subscriptions are a scam, the customer care is the worst I've ever encountered in my life, unfriendly and incompetent. And let's be honest, Xing is NOT user-friendly or even remotely modern in look and design.

This company is a total scam

This company is a total scam. I got an invoice by mail that this was a third notice of late payment. I contacted them and said that I have never heard of their company and never signed up for an account and that this was created as fraud. All they did was direct me to sign in using my credentials and view my terms and conditions. Obviously they ignored what I said because I have no account. They sent the apparent 1st and 2nd late notice by email which I never got. So they dont have my email. They dont have my payment information, which is required to subscribe, because then they would have charged me already. I have no idea how they got my name, which had the wrong surname, they called me Ms instead of Mr in the letter they sent. Its the worst customer service I have seen, they answer after a couple days which I guess is better than other companies but all they have done is refer me to their terms and conditions and telling me to file a police report for fraud. If I have to file a police report it will be against Xing because they have avoided all my questions and still have not proven that I agreed to their terms and conditions.

Avoid all subscriptions and contracts

I gave a try to the premium membership because they had in 2018 an special offer of 47,40€ the first year and 95,40 after the first term. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that the PRO-Jobs add-on was selected, and I paid 80€ instead of 40€. My mistake, I've accepted it. But one year later, I get a bill for 330€. I was expecting to pay 95,40€ for a premium service, but I had no idea that the pro-jobs app was 240€ ! I sent them an E-Mail, and they told me very that PRO-Jobs was an add-on that I selected and I had to pay it. OK, I did it, but I cancel my premium membership with their very confusing procedure. This year, I get the 240€ bill again...apparently the "add-on" is actually a separate service that has to be cancelled separately.

it’s deeply unfair that they do not send a single reminder that a subscription is about to expire. The most important social networks act transparently according to renewal conditions.

I will delete my XING profile and continue working with LinkedIn

Only interested in your money...

Same complaint as everyone else on here...Signed up for a discounted premium account and also bought the JOBS add on for 3 months. When it got renewed I obviously didn't get a notification prior to them taking my money from the card. I thought to myself: hey not a problem, just email them and they'll refund it like every other normal company. Send them an email literally within an hour of receiving the invoices and got a reply pointing me to the terms and conditions and telling me that I'm not gonna get my money back. I replied again insisting on the refund and got a reply again saying that they won't be replying to any more of my emails. Hmm just lovely! They are prepared to lose a customer and don't give a flying fu%$ about their reputation. Maybe they know they are doomed and going to close shop in a few months time and just want to take everyone's money before going down.

Also note that there was not option for me to remove my payment method, no way for me to remove my card from the system. That fact alone shows what these guys are after. I mean, how many online platforms do you know where you can't even remove the payment method???

And when it comes to the actual products, I literally had 0 leads let alone job interview through the platform. Connected with 1 recruitment agent in 3 months and the results were non-existent. They are basically advertising hot air.

Verdict: Don't even think about using XING!

Stay away from Xing for job posts

We are a business that attempted to use Xing's job post. Having made a major error with the job title and unable to change it on our end, I requested that it be changed three times with Xing through emails and support tickets.

After the job post closed one month later, we will billed the full hefty amount. When I complained about the situation, they offered a 10% reduction on the next job post. What a joke, trying to make more money off our business when the first job posts results were bad as a result of the title mix up.

What is more, is that I was blamed for not having tried to reach out to them even though I had sent them all proof of communication. They handed the account over to a debt collector within days of not playing.

Stay away from this money-hungry company that offers NO customer support.

Xing is a trap. NEVER SUBSCRIBE

It's a trap.

NEVER buy the Premium subscription!
I paid for one year subscription and I stopped using it because the user interface is messy and I couldn't trust the information there since I experience outdated profesional information of employees.
This is the reason I stopped using it.

To be honest I forgot I was even subscribed to this website, and without any notice they renewed my subscription ONE YEAR MORE! I now need to pay 100€ for something I am not going to use in one year... Just because I canceled my subscription some days after.
I have done the same with LinkedIn and Amazon and they returned my money.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SUPPORT!

Xing has a lot to learn from LinkedIn!

I'm out!

Help! Trapped by Xing!

NO star at all! I was trapped by the Xing.
I have booked 1 year premium membership, and frankly speaking, not enjoyed the useless service. So i totally forgot the termination, and sent out the termination 10 days before the expiration. But they replied me: Daher wird Ihre Kündigung nicht am Ende dieser, sondern erst am Ende der kommenden Laufzeit wirksam, also am 20.03.2021. Xing needs 375 days to terminate my membership! Can you expect such a company to provide you instant useful information?
If we buy something in Germany, we can still return it in 14 days. Is Xing a German company?

Bye bye Xing! 0 Star!

This company is terrible. You will be trapped under promotion offer and they will keep charging you once premium offer is ended. They renewed my ProJobs subscription for six months and charged me €149,85. I never ordered the renewal. Guys please save your koeny and do not ever join Xing. I requested them to cancel my Premium membership and ProJobs permanently. Now I am permanently deleting my Xing profile. And I also recommend you to delete yours.

Not that useful except for job hunting

Great source of jobs, but poorly-made app. The home page is really weird-looking, and app loading times are most of the times slow even with very fast internet. And a lot of features require premium membership, almost no useful thing can be done as a free user.

Edit: after reading the reviews from other users, I am glad I never tried the 3 months free trial or even bought the premium membership during my job hunting.

Dear Xing, if your goal are happy customers, and not just squeezing the money from users in every way possible, please INCLUDE THE NOTIFICATIONS BEFORE THE AUTO-RENEWAL

Completely agree with all the comments…

Completely agree with all the comments made about Xing - will never use them again as have been treated in the same manner as outlined below despite being a paying customer of XTM for c5 years. They have been terrible and its embarrasing that a company can behave like this.

Rude Staff. Scam of a company. Will do anything to get your money.

I have had a Xing Talent Management Licence for a number of years. Xing charges almost €4000 for one of these licences. As a recruitment business we rely on Xing and Linkedin as networking tools. From a technical point of view, Xing is years behind Linkedin. Their search engine and website interface are outdated, difficult to use and incredibly ineffective.

Since German candidates still insist in using Xing as their main social network, we had no other choice but signing up.
Every time I had a question or require customer service help, I was ignored and had to chase many times. When I raised a complaint, the staff was rude and didn't seem to care and seemed to treat it as a nuisance. The only time when you were quick with your response was when I was about to sign a new contract.

Las year, after a lot of unpleasant exchanges, I reluctantly renewed the licence with a condition that "no autorenewal" will take place at the end of the 12 month and the contract will come to a natural end. Xing was not keen on this option but it was between this and nothing, Xing agreed to it (staff was not particular happy even though I was about to give them nearly €4000).

Fastforwards 12 months later, I had another bill slapped in my face from their Debtmanagement team. I replied to say I never agreed to the autorenewal. A few days later I had a rude email from their account manager saying I would have to tell them 3 month in advance and forced the 12 month contract on me again. Weirdly he didn't even read the contract and it explicitly said "Autorenewal was NOT agreed".

I cannot wait for another company to take over this unethical business, reshape their customer service attitude or better yet come up with a better platform for the German market.

If your business is like mine where you have no choice but signing up to Xing, I'll have 2 advices for you. (1) "DO NOT AGREED TO AUTORENEWAL". No ethical business should be using this to tie you in financially. If they insist on it walk away. And (2) as soon as you find a different tool to replace Xing and avoid dealing with this horrific company, DO IT. No company should make you feel this way and a penny spent on them is a penny too much.
