Xtremeroofing Reviews

I had them to do my roof last year 2021 I have recently noticed one of the slates has slipped down. I have tried every way I can to get hold of them, it's like they have disappeared off the face of the earth. Very frustrating as I am now going to have to get someone else in to sort it out. So much for a10 year guarantee, not that I ever received that from them or an invoice, umpteen phone calls, text, emails, and they stole my sweeping brush. 😵😬

My previous review was for Xtreme Roofing in Manchester. Do not use as they will damage your roof then block your mumber so you can't get hold of them. When you look at their website they have no business address making it difficult to pursue a claim in the small claims court. Terry has served time in prison for robbery but he is still robbing people so beware.

I had a new roof fitted by Terry from Xtreme Roofing in 2021. Halfway through doing the work Terry became aggressive asking for more money before the work was completed. I refused so eventually he completed the work but later I found out that the work was of such poor quality I needed another new roof.

I tried contacting Xtreme roofing regarding this but they never returned any of my calls. I tried writing to them but their leaflet had a fake address. As a result I was out by several thousands of pounds because without an address I can't pursue this through the small calls courts. If only I could obtain an address for Terry Brien or Xtreme Roofing.

If you see Xtreme Roofing, please run a mile as they will provide poor quality work, take your money then disappear.

Google “Terry Brien Manchester Burglar”. Terry is extreme roofing, a convicted burglar who tied an elderly woman up in her own home before robbing her. Well documented by Manchester Evening News and the BBC.

Do not use him.

So we had leaking flat roof and water coming from the main roof.
We were given a quote and then after they had taken up the flat roof they said it would be an extra 2.5k to fix the issues. We paid this.

The flat roof now has a lot more standing water on it due to not being repaired correctly for the water to drain off. The main roof is still leaking so we paid a total of 5.5k for the same issue in the main roof and a new issue on the flat roof.

We have tried to contact the company but we are not getting any calls back nor are we getting through to them to get them to fix the issues.

Just do not use them as they will always ask for more money and not fix anything.

We needed a roofer to check rain water dripping into our chimney and found Xtreme Roofing website (xtremeroofing.co.uk) when searching online. I checked on checkatrade.com and found the company name with good reviews. Only later on after all the saga I realised that the company with the good reviews on checkatrade.com is a different Xtreme Roofing that is based in London, and not the one that is based in Manchester, who we contacted.

Terry from Xtreme Roofing in South Manchester came to check and said that he will fix broken slates and all that need fixing, including chimney flash and all that were broken around and on the chimney for £750, but can go down to £600 if we pay cash. We agreed on this.

Later on, when he started to work, he said that the edge of the roof bordering with our neighbour need to be fixed and new baton installed. He also said that the neighbour on the other side has their roof slates clipped into our slates that make our slates cracked, and this needed to be fixed too. He quoted a total of £1500. He also mentioned that we needed to install felt for £6000. We can't afford £6000, so we agreed with the £1500 work, although this means that we have to use our saving.

After he had done, we asked for the receipt, he said he will send it over through whatsapp. He never did even after we asked him in numerous occasions.

The issue with rain water dripping through chimney persists, and we called him to come over and check it again, as he said that the work was guaranteed. He never turn up when he said he would. He also doesn't take our calls. We never get the receipt.

We then called another roofer, this time we made sure to call the roofer from the phone number shown on checkatrade.com. The roofer and my husband went to the roof and found that the broken slates had not been repaired, the work around the baton was done badly, there should be 6 slates and Terry only put 4 slates. The chimney flash wasn't repaired, neither did broken slates around chimney and the chimney crown.

The roofer checked the other side of the roof where Terry said he had done works to fix the clipped roof from next door neighbour. He couldn't see evidence of any works that had been done recently.

Very disappointing and heart breaking, as we left without the money and with problem that isn't solved.

Please be aware again that this Xtreme Roofing in Manchester is nothing to do with Xtreme Roofing company in London (google search to find reviews lead to the one in London that have good reviews)
