Bought Maretrons fuel flow system with rapid delivery and fair price. Unfortunately one
sensor gave faulty readings. Since I am from Sweden, I was slightly worried that this claim would be
stuck in the web shop glue. However a brand new sensor arrived yesterday, and I could only recommend Kevin and Yachtbits as your preferred Yacht bit dealer 😊 // Per Martin
Having read the bad review I would like to comment.
As a retiredelectronic engineer, I agree that the software must be installed. It is a great pity that this review appeared for from my experience Of Kevin's pre and after sales service, it is superb!
I visited KM electronics premises at Lowestoft soon after they started there and received EXCELLENT service. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
I wasn't entirly sure what I needed to connect my Simrad autopilot to my Raymarine chartplotter so emailed them for advice.
I received an explanation how to do it and a list of parts required to do the job.
The parts arrived and did the job. Right First Time!
The item (AIS transceiver) purchased arrived on time, but I had trouble to introduce the static data on it. The same day I recieved the unit, I wrote an email explaining my situation. The answer was they were closed by holidays for two weeks. I realised that the manufacturer was based very close so I contact them. They were really kind, and after trying to fix it without success I decided to return the device to the seller. I let them know with another email, as they were still closed by holidays. After their holidays I wrote them again explaining everything, because I hadn't had answer. Apparently they were busy answering all the other emails. One more day and they answered that I couldn't return the unit because I tried to install it, and moreover I had started actions with the manufacturer. I asked them to reconsider their position repeatedly and I have not received further answer. How could I know that the unit was not going to work without installing it? What else could I do to solve the problem if the seller was closed by holidays and the after sales service is 100% interrupted? Luckily I can support all these statements with the e-mails sent and received to/from the manufacturer and the seller. If you need evidence, please contact me at my gmail account 3lozaj61 asking about the Yachtbits order num 2997. Honestly lamentable.
