Extremely annoying company. Some guy with very bad English keep calling me barely speak english, sounds like Scottish or something similar. Keep harassing me with phone calls.

Horrendous

I started working with Yell in 2024 when my business was still fairly new. After a few months I upgraded to a better plan to try and increase the impact of my advertising. After speaking with my advisor at the time and making clear that I didn't want to enter into any long term commiments so I could still be flexible with my business, I was told that that play I was looking at, was a 6 month program. I accepted the offer and started on the new program. After a few months, I started using a new company for facebook advertising, which has provided me with a massive increase in the potency of our advertising. After discussing with the new company, I agreed to move my website and google pages over to them so everything linked together. When this was decided, I called Yell to inform them that I would be cancelling my plan, to which I was told that it was a 12 month term and not a 6 month term. The account is now being investigated by their internal team, and I have refused to make any further payments until the situation is resolved. In response, Yell have suspended all of my advertising, including my website, meaning that my customers have no way of seeing our website.
Yell are clearly only focused on getting you to spend as much money with them as possible, and will constantly talk about increasing your plan, to the point of harrasment. If you're looking to use them, save yourself the trouble and don't bother. I wish I hadn't.

Was bullied into the website

Was bullied into the website, not signing a contract, asking to put photos on yell but people only google for searching, only received one function since it was up and running tried to stop it and couldnt, the actual website was poorly set up and rushed just to get money
They are ripping small businesses off as mine was just starting
So i would touch them with a barge pole
I have gone full time as a postie

Trying to cancel this account was told…

Trying to cancel this account was told nothing but lies and they try and fob you off every time you call. I only want to cancel it and all they say is we will review it and as I'm half way through talking he hangs up. This is a shocking company. I made a complaint and they have got back to me saying I was not miss sold they have listened to 2 conversations out of about a dozen they conveniently don't have the recording of him telling me I would be turning work down. I have read all the complaints and I'm not the only one we must all be telling lies. I hope everyone takes their complaint all the way and I'm going to seek legal advice.

This company is absolutely disgusting

This company is absolutely disgusting, praying on small businesses. Done a few alterations on my website then claiming it was there design. Lied about how my site wasn't on any seo. Having been in touch now with many companies, they all say the same thing at how disgusting it is to be paying what im paying for such a disgusting service. Stay well clear.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company, I have completed 1 year £250 every month and have had nothing except the invoices and they still got me for 13th month. I requested cancellation over a month before the end of contract.
