First-class service!

A very friendly and helpful staff advised me on what I needed. Installation (early 2025) was quick and efficient. I had a couple of small adjustments to the doors post-installation and the after-sales repairs were done very quickly. Its well worth a visit to Melton to see the variety of buildings.

AVOID at all costs

AVOID at all costs. Minus 10 stars would be more appropriate.
As a result of our diabolical greenhouse fitting, this company is no longer on the greenhouse peoples recommended installer list. The green house people have paid for another installer to come and rectify this companies joke of a fitting!

Yorkshire Greenhouses and Garden Rooms Ltd DO NOT USE

Do nor entrust your building work to this company! Their 10 year guarantee is worthless. The building shown on the website is disintegrating Was never finished despite being asked many times. Decking sagging - no posts underneath to support it. Dangerous trip hazard joining to main building. First alerted to interior problems when water began pouring through ceiling through a light fitting and surrounding plasterboard. The rock wool insulation was soaking wet and water had seeped through the plasterboard ruining gym and office equipment beneath it. On uncovering the ceiling from inside there was copious health risking black mould all over, all the roof timbers were wet and there was insufficient support for the roof. The owner of this “construction” business refused even to look at the problem and said it was not built by Yorkshire Greenhouses and Garden Rooms Ltd but by a former company now in liquidation. This despite the buildings photos being all over the website which uses the same URL anyway. A proper builder has described this handiwork as having been done by a muppet (as well as some less printable terminology). This building is all top show and little (and dangerous) substance. Keep clear.

Unskilled labourer

Unskilled labourer, confirmed by actually professionals. Definitely do not give this company your business. We gave the director of this company close to £19000 and he has left us with an appalling building that he will not fix. Ceiling filled with sweating rockwool covered in black mould. Bowing decking, unsafe trip hazards, flat pooling/ leaking roof. Any detail required to deter you from handing your money to this greenhouse erector, I will provide you with.

Current Director (and to my knowledge only employee) is currently dissolving the company that built my garden office, and now running this business. I am not accusing this of being a phoenix company of course, I would never defame a character. I have attached photos from Companies House of his directorships. He built mine, if you use this company he will build yours. The ’10 year guarantee’ he gave me, the same as advertised on this website because it is literally the same website (URL identical), is worth nothing. If you are thinking of using this company please contact me and I will give you all documentation, including his correspondence.

On the day of laying the concrete base he asked for a copy of the ‘plan’ we provided; a sketch my wife (a chemist, not an architect or designer) gave as an idea of what to use. Director and his contractor were literally sawing wood in the shape of a base as the concrete he ordered was poured. Incredible performance.
On the attached photos you can see screenshots from the current website which he has chosen not to take down even at my request (a legal obligation as private property), taking responsibility for this building.

Any photo showing exposed wood, damage, bowing decking is within three years of the build. He declined the offer of resolving any problems, and never even finished the job.

Just tried to press 'post' to this review, but unfortunately it has made me give a star rating first so this cowboy and his company get a mandatory solitary star from this family.
