Warning to Anyone Considering Lessons with Alain Merville or YousicPlay

I want to share my experience as a warning to others. I signed up for Alain Merville’s one-on-one lesson program through YousicPlay, paying about $2,500 (financed through Affirm) for lessons that were supposed to take place twice a month, plus access to his website and group sessions.

Unfortunately, Alain only provided one lesson. He cancelled multiple times and did not reschedule. While I did have access to his group content and website, the personalized lessons I paid for were never delivered.

Despite this, he reported to Affirm that he had provided 18 lessons, which is not true. Anyone can verify this by asking how many recorded one-on-one sessions actually exist.

Based on my experience, I urge anyone considering his services to be cautious. What I received did not match what was promised.

Don’t use this company. It’s a rip off they will not contact you after sent a request. I had a Buy one get one free offer where I bought one course and still charged for the second.
The videos are ok. The musicians don’t slow down to show good technique.
