Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 64 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about poor product quality, noting that various major household appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and ovens broke down prematurely or arrived with dangerous defects. People also reported deeply frustrating experiences with customer service representatives who were completely unhelpful, extremely difficult to reach on the phone, and unable to resolve technical problems. Though some customers faced difficulties, a few reviewers were happy with courteous support interactions or found certain product designs acceptable. These specific individuals appreciated receiving prompt replacement assistance or enjoyed the nice aesthetic appearance of their newly installed kitchen units.

Appliances not reliable.

Bad quality appliances, washing machine repaired 3 times within 2 years warrantee period. Now it's out of warantee & same issue is costing me a kidney.
Don't forget to get a 5 years cover when buying zanussi products..

Be in mind i have 10 years old other company's appliances in my 2nd property which never breaks down.

Zanussi appliances was a gift from housing developer but don't like this gift. if i have options, will go for good brands.

Fabulous service Ferole and Zanussi

I have a Zanussi oven and gas hob I would say they must be 15 years old and are still like new and working well, I stupidly put the hob crowns in the bag with the oven cleaning fluid and they did not like it, they are now flaking, I phoned the Zanussi help desk and spoke to Ferole - what a lovely helpful person, she took the time to try and find the correct item and also got me a 15% discount, she placed the order sent me the correct form to pay with and was able to laugh with me 5 stars for Ferole and Zanussi which I might add only took a minute to connect to.

Unreliable dirt cheap tat

You probably have a bunch of their appliances if you bought a new build. Be prepared to replace them all, theres a reason the developers went with them and its not the quality.

Getting compensation from a company whose products are not fit for purpose.

I bought a combi microwave and oven, both of which are terrible quality and have had numerous repairs under warranty. When one of them broke outside of the warranty (again!) I didn't waste any more of my time or money with them. I paid £80 to lodge a small claim which made them sit up and listen. They have settled and I have received approx 3/4's of my claim amounting to £850 which will pay for a good portion of the replacement costs (not including an electrician to refit). My advice would be to not waste any further money on repairs and make a claim that your product "is not fit for purpose". Hold your ground and principles and fingers crossed you will get a reasonable outcome like I did. This company is awful and cause a great deal of stress, but it has been less stressful making a small claim than dealing with constant repairs and rude Zanussi staff and engineers! Good luck !!

Do not buy a Zanussi induction hob cooker.

I bought a Zanussi induction hob cooker 4 years ago. The induction hob failed in December 2024 and, although Zanussi tried to fix it on several occasions, they were unable to do so. So I am now faced, after such a very short time, with having to buy a new cooker.

Their refrigeration products are not fit for purpose

Never again will I purchase their products. 20 months ago I purchased an undercounter fridge and freezer. Within a couple of weeks I had the freezer replaced for a faulty one. Now unfortunately, and out of warranty now the fridge has stopped working. They seem to be of substandard quality. A very unhappy customer😡😡

AVOID "THE FIXED PRICE REPAIR" SERVCE

I paid £149 for the "Fixed Price Repair" - providing serial numbers and error codes. Based on this Zanussi knew the oven parts were no longer stocked and no repair would be possible. Still charged me £80 for the pleasure (providing only a 'partial refund').

Customer service rude and unhelpful as expected based on all other reviews.

Another month and still not repaired

Another month and still not repaired! They sent me an appointment on a Friday evening through a text message for the following Monday a 6am! I called back and the engineer team was closed! Then they booked me yet another appointment for the following week on Tuesday and obviously when I called the day before just to confirm it (very little trust on Zanussi by now!), oops! The appointment is now for Thursday! I took a day of work to have the appliance repaired! Disgusting! So be aware aside the appliance it self the repair centre is as important if not more! Don’t buy Zanussi!

Got a Zanussi 9KG 1400 Spin Washing…

Got a Zanussi 9KG 1400 Spin Washing Machine | ZWF942F1DG less than 18 months ago. We had various problems over that time, then it finally stopped working. The Zanussi engineer wouldn't be free to call to the house to fix it for a few days so we got our own engineer. The engineer came out and told us it was a complete dud and would be only good for the bin, there were so many things wrong with it. (His invoice notes: Callout charge for Zanussi freestanding washing machine -
*There are numerous issues with this appliance and its only from 2023. The drum is damaged, therefore the belt is
not sitting on the spider wheel correctly. The machine keeps cutting out after a few seconds and the inside is
covered with lots of unexplained dust. Far too many problems in a machine of this age.)
Given we had already waited 5 days since it stopped working and we needed a machine immediately we had no choice but to buy a new machine with no prospect of compensation or refund from Zanussi or the shop unless we went throught their 2 week assestment period. Avoid Zanussi if you can. The engineer said the same. Buy cheap buy often should be their moto.

AEG dishwasher disappointing experience

I've always considered AEG a top-tier brand in Europe, but my experience has completely changed my perception.
My new home uses an AEG dishwasher, and its cleaning performance was already disappointing. To my surprise, it got even worse after two years! The machine broke down shortly after the warranty expired. I tried to fix it using the troubleshooting methods provided on the official website, but to no avail. I had to contact the service department and schedule a technician. The online booking immediately charged me £169, and the appointment was set for February 18th. Unfortunately, the technician didn't show up all day, and I received no notification. After much effort, I managed to find the customer service phone number and requested another appointment. I specifically mentioned that I couldn't take phone calls due to work and preferred email communication, but they still contacted me by phone, which significantly disrupted my work.
They rescheduled the appointment for March 10th, but again, the technician didn't show up without any notice. Both times, I took time off work to wait for the technician, but they failed to appear, wasting two days of my unpaid leave.
As of today, March 18th, I still haven't received any response or follow-up. This has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I hope someone from AEG can address this issue promptly and provide me with a better experience with their products and after-sales service.

Faulty products - do not buy

On 20/03/2025 I raised an enquiry, which was not responded to until I chased a response over a week later, regarding a faulty Zanussi oven lightbulb which stopped working less than 4 months from the date of purchase. The previous oven lightbulb worked for 2 years before it stopped working. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a product is legally required to "last a reasonable length of time". This was clearly not the case with the product I purchased (order number 2803385929, dated 10/11/2024). The customer service over the phone and over email thus far has been unhelpful and unreasonable. Despite multiple emails and calls with the customer service team over a one week period, no refund has been processed for the faulty product. Very disappointing. Do not buy Zanussi or Electrolux.

I would not recommend Zanussi products or dealing with their staff

I purchased from Wren a new kitchen end Nov last year, including a Zanussi hob. It was late installed around Christmas and I got to start using the new kitchen and Zanussi hob late January. After just a couple of regular uses of the hob it got scratched. I registered my product online. I lodged a complaint online in February and received a notification that I would be contacted with two days - which never happened. Yesterday I reached out to the online chat for Zanussi and a rude person wrote they do not cover scratches and marks, and that I should contact Wren.

Reading these reviews here I can tell that Zanussi is run by rude and dismissive personnel. I have asked for the transcript to be sent to me but the person refused and sent me to an email address to ask to be emailed to me.

Then of course it is the quality of the product which only after a couple of uses got scratched. The product is under warranty and now I need to chase different stakeholders involved. I would not recommend Zanussi products or dealing with their staff.

Pricey for bad workmanship

I bought a replacement tray for my dishwasher recently. £70 and it’s absolutely rubbish. The metal prongs that hold the plates don’t stand up. In the end I had to thrown one away it kept collapsing. For these prices these trays need to be better made.

Defective Zanussi Cooker

I purchased a Zanussi induction cooker which was advertised as 'high quality' and cost £829 just under 3 years ago. About a month ago the Control Board developed a serious fault, which caused all the hobs to stop working. The fault has now been repaired at a cost of £149. I'm currently trying to recover this amount plus consequential losses and damages from the retailer, John Lewis PLC.
This is the second Zanussi cooker I've purchased which has developed a serious fault to the Control Board. I will definitely not buy another Zanussi cooker, and I would stay well clear of their products.

AVOID ZANUSSI!!

I purchased an electric blanket from the Zanussi store on Amazon (23/12/24). The electric blanket stopped working after using for six weeks. I’ve emailed Zanussi twice and Zanussi hasn’t responded to either email. I just want a full refund for the electric blanket, but how do I get it when Zanussi doesn’t bother answering their phones or respond to their emails. Absolutely awful customer service!!

Product arrived broken (fridge clear basket), having spoken to the company "AS A GESTURE OF GOODWILL THEY WILL REPLACE IT" - what nonsense as when you buy something online & it arrives damaged you are entitled to a replacement.

Brought an under counter freezer as…

Brought an under counter freezer as part of a kitchen refurbishment 4 years ago. There's no damp in the kitchen and this is in the corner with space all round, under a work surface. Cannot believe how the bodywork has rusted. Dreadful and need to replace. Too late to report but wld never buy from this company again. Shoddy goods. I have photos.

Shocking product and customer service

Spent £700 on a fridge freezer, just day's before Christmas.
Bottom drawer of freezer cracked within first week but still usable.
Been very busy working as a nurse and studying for a master's so not had chance to ring and report.
The drawer has now broken, they will not replace free as I didn't report in the first 30 days of use.
Wanting £50 for a new draw to replace on a item that is 7 weeks old, I expect fridge freezers to last year's not weeks!!!!!!
Absolute piece of junk, avoid there products I will never buy from them again.
Customer service very poor just kept repeating 30 day ruling at me.
