Booked a room in Sawah Besar for 5…

Booked a room in Sawah Besar for 5 days. It's the first time I tried Zen and I really wish I didn't. The mentioned amenities are not available. The walls are made of very thin wood so you can hear everything that the other guests are doing or talking about in the other rooms. A few hrs from checking in I asked to cancel and be refunded the remaining 4 days and they'll only refund me the 20% I paid! Don't be deceived by the reviews they posted on their website! I'll give 0 and even a negative if I can!!

Minus 5 stars if could!

Booked a hotel in Singapore for my guest from Japan and even emailed them that he will be checking in after 7pm and they replied promptly.
However, when my guest arrived at the hotel, the hotel does not have any record of my guest despite already paid for for the room. The hotel staff then have to try very hard to contact the Zen people and then was given a choice to stay at another hotel which my guest accepted.
After 5mins, an email came and said that the alternative hotel was also full! Then they emailed and offered 2 shady hotel smacked right in the middle of the red light district which my guest have really no choice but to accept it.
This would be my first and last experience with such amateur booking site trying to act like Uber or something. Thumbs down.

No full knowledge of their partner

I don't think they have full knowledge of the services that their hotel/accommodation partners has.

I booked through them with a pension house. They've rejected my request to check in at 8 pm for the reason that the pension's house check in time are only up to 6 pm and beyond that no one can accommodate me. When I got to the pension house on the next day of the booking (I've booked for 3 days - got there on the 2nd day of the booking), I talked to the front desk and what do you know, they're front desk is open 24 hours!

Great!

Got their app on my phone, I'm using it every time I travelled and I had a great experiences, such as; Nice staff, secured locations and approachable housekeeping. I'm not sure for others, because for me, I know for a fact that I booked the CHEAPEST accommodation, then I should expect those things that corresponds to my budget. I've been staying in a hotel most of my travel, so I'm quite familiar with their house rules, for others, I suggest to READ carefully before making any reservation. So, Zenrooms, expect more booking from me SOON.

Zenrooms promised me a refund of €121,-…

Zenrooms promised me a refund of €121,- in NOVEMBER.

I NEVER got the refund because Zenrooms just ignores your messages. They dont care. They will just take your money

BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING WITH ZENROOMS! Alot of SCAM rooms provided by them. People who work with Zenrooms can just upload other pictures and when you arrive, the room is totally different. And NO WAY you can get your money back.

ITS A BIG SCAM!

Good value

Good value, mostly clean rooms in good or decent location. Their booking system needs an update but all in all easy to use.

Thieves! Refund me my 16USD, THIEVES!

Thieves!

I book a room in Bukit Bintang last minute and couldln't stay because our flight was terribly delayed and we arrived the following day.

Their reply was that they would charge me anyway because my room was confirmed and was not given to anybody else....I am sure they had other rooms available and that it was not like we made them miss another customer.

My experience is that this is a soulless chain, with zero human understanding for unexpected problems travelers may expect. My suggestion is don't even bother.

I will never book again.

I had a bit of trouble booking via their website, and in the confusion I booked the wrong dates:

2017-10-18 to 2017-10-21
It should have been
2018-01-18 to 2018-01-21

Contacted them right away on email, and got this reply:

"As your reservation is non-refundable, we are sorry to inform you that we cannot make any change or amendment according to your request."

cheap and safe

Used several times and everything was good. they always have some promos that make price unbeatable, while hotels are always nice and simple whatever you choose.
basically just decide the area of the city you want to stay and pick any hotel they have there. saves a lot of time on checking hundreds of options on other sites trying to pick best quality vs price deals.
