Misleading pricing strategies

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience trying to purchase the Babolat Air Viper 2.6 2026 racket.

On the same day, I received multiple reminder emails advertising the racket at EUR 193.46. However, when I clicked through and proceeded to checkout, the price suddenly increased to EUR 239.96. This felt misleading and extremely frustrating as a customer.

When I contacted customer service via WhatsApp, they explained that the difference was due to VAT. This explanation doesn’t make sense in my case because I’m purchasing as an individual consumer within the EU (delivery from Spain to Poland). Prices advertised to EU consumers should already include VAT and mandatory charges. The advertised price should therefore be the final price at checkout.

To make matters worse, the lower price was sent to me four separate times as a reminder, which makes the situation feel even more like false advertising. I also want to point out that I did not apply any discount code during this purchase attempt, so that cannot explain the price change.

Overall, this experience left me feeling misled and disappointed. A company should stand by the prices it advertises, especially when those prices are repeatedly sent to customers as purchase reminders. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend buying from this store.
