Chinese Bikes Have Come A Long Way in Recent Years!

Having had my Kawasaki Z750 stolen I needed something quickly, with a decent warranty to commute daily 82 mile round trip.

Bought a ZT350 T2 19”. £3999 new on the road on offer. Ordered Friday, delivered to dealer Tuesday and on the road Thursday midday.

A few years ago I wouldn’t have touched a Chinese bike. But for this money and spec! Bosch controlled ABS, hand guards, titanium crash bars, electric adjustable screen, TFT screen, Bluetooth…. Etc. a Japanese equivalent would have cost £7999 and a German £9999 for anything close. I have done in 6 weeks just over 1000 miles. Flawless…

Initially while running in this seemed very under powered, but as the bike has loosened up and the EMS has settled this bike is fantastic to ride. After an hour I could do with a little better padding on the seat. And no heated grips! But hey the other spec makes up for this. I damaged the left hand shield. Contacted Zontes UK and ordered the parts that were delivered in 48hrs. Titanium crash bars, stainless steel bolts… these bikes have come a long way in recent years and the new 703 is stunning….

Now my BMW C400GT has been in a workshop for 7 weeks waiting parts from BMW!!!! And tbh this is Korean anyway! The C400GT has 20,000 and just needed variable belt etc and BMW wanted £800 +vat just for the service. All in BMW Would happily of robbed me for £2000!!!

Would I buy a BMW again over a Chinese bike! Probably not.

Looking for a cheap, well built, reliable bike… give it a try… go test one.

Zontes GK-350 great bike!

First of all I have owned over 40 bike in the last 45 years. I now have a 2016 Indian Scout 69, 2015 bmw F700GS, 2001 Kawaski ZXR400, 1998 Kawaski KLR250 and a 2023 Zontes GK-350. as you can see all diffrent kinds of bikes. The first Bike I go to for most of my riding is now the GK-350 it is the all rounder bike I have and I have to say it rides really good! I have read lots of reviews on the GK-350 mostly very good but they are a few real bad ones out there, I think they either don't know much about bike or atre just trash talking the bikes down because they're Chinese but the one thing I do know is this bike is a really great bike and I would buy other Zontes without any hesitation. I think Zontes is what Honda was in the 1970 and they're only going to get better! (I hope) And no, I don't work or get paid form them I just think this is a great little bike!

Brand-new zt350 bike for the cost of…

Brand-new zt350 bike for the cost of used jap, euro equivalent! Brilliant we thought, then you buy one and realize why.
If the 350 is their premium flagship model then heaven forbid what the 125's are like.
More poorly made chinese poo, the build quality's awful the rides equally as tragic and it has no resale value as no one wants one 🤦, parts sourcing seems questionable.
I'm guessing CFmoto, lexmoto and zontes are all made in the same factory.

AVOID!! Buy a honda 🤷‍♂️🙏

Warning!!!! Dont even think to buy from zontes

Zontes is not reliable motocycle their parts are very very low quality i have bought GK350 less than a year now its 870km.

The oil pipe got broken during driving in double carriageways on the wheels i almost died, motorcycle smoked and burnt out after 870km, be aware of quality of zontes before buying thats my experience.

Support they will try to find any reason to avoid taking it under warranty.

they told me you didnt do annual check up, but how is it possible for a brand new motorcycle you have to take it to mechanic for check up, even though during registration the Polish department didnt ask me for it because they are aware that it has to be delivered for me to drive atleast 1000km or a year without any need of inspection, if it was really the problem i could have seen leaking spot in my garage but that happened 10 minutes of driving.

anyway for Zontes the money matters more than their reputation and their client satisfaction nor safety, they didnt offer a single commercial gesture.

My biggest regrettable investment of the year to give Chinese brand Zontes a chance.

Chinese crap at its finest

Chinese crap at its finest! What a waste of time an money this has been, avoid avoid avoid!!!

Also shame on you MCN for a misleading 4* review, your either deluded or in some way funded by these charlatans of engineering to of left such a generous review 🤔.

Save yourself a load of hassle (wished I'd listen to this advice) spend half the money like £1200-1800 on a Japanese made 125 from any era and it'll out last out preform a zontes bike all day long. My cb125r was £1100 has 33,000miles and I only got this to replace the mistake that was a zontes and its been epic. Mad to think a 17yr old bike is better made, quicker an easier to ride than a brand new bike from China.

Steer well clear

I own a zontes tiger 125, the worst mistake I ever made. I purchased it to ride for a few months, this was back in July 2021. Its been in and out of the garage with constant issues, I haven't even managed to get it working since October. It went in the garage and was 'fixed' just went to take it out for a ride and once again it won't start!!!!! Pile of junk.
