The instructor, Maria Browning was incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely uplifting. She had such a warm and positive energy that made the whole session feel comfortable, motivating, and enjoyable from start to finish.

Maria was so much fun—it wasn’t what I expected at all! She taught me so much about Zumba, explaining the different dance moves and where they come from. It was a really great experience.

I began this course at 1030 on zoom. Earlier that morning I received a text from the instructor Maria Browning stating that I would not be able to put together a class without joining zin I assured her that I would attend her class but that I would not be joining zin as I was assured that it was not mandatory. While In the beginning of the zoom class the instructor embarrassed me by announcing in front of my classmates that a student named Rosa and I were not a zin member but that she would allow the time for us to join while we all introduce ourselves. Rosa felt finally felt compelled to sign up for zin, however, I still did not as I explained that I was already teaching at a facility and would just like my certificate for completing the course. She then asked me to turn on my camera and I did so , she asked me to show my face and I did but she then embarrassed me by telling me to get up that I was not allowed to be laying down. She could have texted me instead as I privately texted her to let her know that I was sick and not dressed appropriately at the moment. I assure Maria that I was in attendance and that I would get up when necessary if needed to dance etc. She said in front of everyone that she needed me to keep the camera on my face. I texted her and explained to her that I was uncomfortable with being on camera, that I did not appreciate her changing my profile name without my permission as it was a violation of my privacy and asked her to please leave my zoom settings alone as I was participating in the class just fine. Maria then said on zoom in front of everyone that I would not be able to continue to take her class today since I would not sit up, keep the camera on my face, or join zin. She said it was best for me to leave and would rather refer me to take an on demand class if I didn't want to join zin with a subscription of 6months. A girl named Jessica also became upset with Maria stating that we all had to be a member of zin for a minimum of 6months. However, Jessica was permitted to continue her course today and I was not. It was completely unprofessional and embarrassing. I felt there was no need for her to be so bossy. I paid for her to teach and I was completely in attendance to her lecturing and responding to all conversations. I strongly feel this instructor needs to be reprimanded for how I was treated in front of others.
