Neat shoe designs, but customer service department is lacking. Had a size issue that they were unwilling to resolve.

Edit: to your reply, a replacement cardboard shoebox costs $1, at most. I even offered to pay for a new shoebox for the inconvenience! I know you’re a small business, but I highly encourage you to sometimes just do the right thing. It’s a piece of cardboard.

After initial shock at having to pay 27% more for UK customs I have to say the shoes were a game changer! The first time I put them on I walked for 30 mins without knee pain, which was a forgotten pleasure back then. Now it’s normal again.

The shoes are good (I have both Hallux and Arcus) but the advertisement strategy is a bit shady. They heavily feature recommendations from My Foot Function in their advertising material but they are not disclosing that Wyde Footwear and My Foot Function has frequent collaborations.
As for the shoes, Hallux is a good summer shoe but the white color stains very easily so I recommend other colors.
Arcus is my personal favorite, the toe box is very wide (wider than other brands) so it looks very bulky and it takes a while to get used to the look (about six months for me).
I bought the Arcus Storm high top with the expectation of a winter shoe even though we didn't get much winter this year. It leaks a lot of cold air in the toe box so when biking in cold weather there is not much difference between the Arcus Storm and a regular Arcus.

ARCUS WHITE
I bought them half year ago - tried multiple times and gave them multiple chances

I have a pretty standard leg, I was buying them thinking they will look better than regular barefoot shoes, and more feet to wear at work

But overall
- the rim is high - it is not comfortable and doesn’t fit
- leather broke on the side after couple of wearings
- they are extremely wide in the front, and looks clowny

I was looking forward to getting these trainers, been using wide toe box for about 6 months, so thought I would give these guys a try. Price is a bit chunky, but to ship to the UK was £20 applied at checkout. I got the sting when they turned up at the door with UPS demanding a further £46.04 due to UK government import charges. UPS guy was great, but laughed his head off. I made the mistake of thinking (stupidly) that £20 for shipping (expensive) had the import charges covered. So to have these delivered to the the UK folks, its going to cost you £66.04, my opinion having received the shoes, its not worth it. Queried it with Wyde, response was read the shipping details buried down deep on their website. My fault, I didn't, your call.....

Like a good fitting T-shirt can be hard to find, a well fitting minimalist shoe is even harder...but that became a thing of the past when I came across Wyde's "Arcus" model.
Having worn barefoot shoes from MANY other companies for years, I would be lying to myself if I told you that they actually truly fit the shape of my foot. Still a step up from traditional footwear, but something was missing and I seriously almost lost all hope for a shoe company that would create an actual foot shaped shoe, backed by research.

That's where Wyde Footwear delivers.
As the name "Wyde" implies, their shoes are ACTUALLY wide, and not just your typical narrow wide barefoot shoe that still tapers at the big toe. Getting down to detail, the Arcus model pays particular attention to true anatomical form of the natural foot, noting the curve towards the big toe which allows for proper splay and the use of their toe spacers.

They also took into consideration that we live in a modern world with hard surfaces, so the sole of the shoe isn't paper thin (like most functional footwear) but instead is just thick enough to provide hours of comfort on concrete yet still allows the foot to be completely functional.
Double points for also being aesthetically pleasing. They actually look even better in person and when paired with a sweet pair of jeans or chinos, it's the perfect combo for me.

Aside from function and design of the shoe, Wyde is just an overall outstanding company from their customer service to their mission/purpose.

In regards to maintenance, The Arcus model will get dirty eventually just like ANY other shoe, so I would suggest pairing it with a good shoe spray protector for grime/liquid to protect your investment before wearing them outside and then following up with a good shoe cleaner with a brush. I've repeated this process as needed and both of my Arcus pairs (All white and all black) look just as good as the day I got them.

I'm writing this review after having worn their first Hallux 1.0 model and Arcus model for almost a year combined. Now I have purchased the Arcus+ model which I love even more!

The shoe does exactly what it's supposed to do and I look forward to purchasing future models. Thanks Wyde!

Nice design but gets dirty easy and it's hard to clean. The laces are also poor quality. The shape of the shoe is good.

Wyde’s Arcus felt custom made the first time I tried them on, and after just a few uses my feet felt way healthier. With Wyde my feet does not only feel amazing but also look good. The design is clean and makes the shoe appear thinner than it really is. Thanks to wyde I can feel and look good at the same time!

Average. The shoe looks better in the photo than IRL. A bit disappointing. Material seems to collect dirt easily. Still not as wide as I thought. I assume it’s Scandinavian brand, but the shoe is not really special at all. Just a instagram hype by the Scandics. They could have some nicer colours.

The coolest thing after wearing the Hallux for a while is how weird my old “normal” shoes feel. I love this new feeling of freedom for my toes and activated muscles in my feet

I’ve been wearing foot shaped shoes for over 13 years, tried all brands out there, unfortunately most are too narrow and compromise their shape and width. Wyde are the only ones I’ve tried so far that are truly Anatomically correct and have a great design and outsole that is thin enough for sensory feedback and flexibility but also thick enough for comfort and protection. I’m so excited to see what other models they release!
