Shocked companies still use Xactly

The second company I work at is using Xactly, and I am honestly shocked as to why companies still use them. The interface/UX is clunky and confusing, and reports are slow to load. I do not recommend it. There has to be better options out there!

Proud Xactly Customer since 2009

Xactly Incent has grown over the years and I'm thrilled to say we have grown with them. By far the best commission tool out there and it has made my job much easier. Rep enjoy seeing their payments way before the payroll hits. Great Product, Great Company !

Xactly Analytics is a step beyond GREAT. I've had many years experience with analytics and find that Xactly has been able to make it both user friendly and enjoyable to use.

Great tool for calculating commissions

What do you I like best?
The process for loading data and running the calculations saves us a lot of time.

What do I dislike?
It can be hard to setup dashboards and custom views with the right filters to be able to see the slices of data you need.

What business problems am I solving?
Our company has been using Xactly for a year and a half. I took over as the commissions administrator 4 months ago. The product has been really easy to learn and is quite powerful. We have a team of about 60 sales reps and managers that we pay quarterly using Xactly Express.

Great Compensation Application

Integrated with Salesforce for a 30 member Sales Team who have multiple tiers, qualifiers and accelerators. As the Comp Admin this tool reduced my workload by more than 50% and I finally got to "thow away" my cumbersome excel sheets!! The Account Execs also loved the fact that they now had visiblity to their comp through SF and SF1.

The Xactly Onboarding and Support teams were awesome as well!

Xactly Incent works for us!

We rolled out Xactly Incent a little over a year ago and although we had some challenges due to the complexity of our compensation model, the implementation team was extremely professional and collaborative.

Our Sales Managers and Sales Representatives place high value in being able to see their performance and payouts in one central location and are increasingly motivated as a result.

As an administrator I find the tool easy to customize, depending on the change that is required. However for more complex changes, the Xactly Support team can be easily reached for best practice feedback.

I would like to see improved analytics as there are some limitations in the linking of data tables. Also a mid to advanced knowledge of SQL programming is required to create reports therefore leaving the average person contacting Xactly Support for assistance. Which is readily available I might add!

Some tips for your Xactly implementation is to include Analytics in the scope of work and integrate Xactly into the data systems as much as possible. Keeping performance data real-time is the real key to motivation.

3 Companies down and still work with Xactly

I implemented Xactly at Zendesk, then at Pandora, and then moved to Marketo who already had Xactly. The one reason I always recommend Xactly is because their free support for customers is amazing. I've had the best experience and it does not compare to any other vendors (Callidus / Oberro / Varicent). Xactly is easy to use, the courses they have online and at the San Jose location are really helpful. There are some difficulties as is with any company because comp plans vary so greatly from company to company that those difficulties are easy to overlook. The implementation team and the contractors Xactly works with are excellent.

Best Product for Me

We implemented Xactly Incent quite a few years ago and the process was quite easy as far as implementations go. The building of the plans was light years ahead of what I had done in other products (including excel). Plus the analytics module really boosted our reporting abilities without me spending hours pulling together very granular data. All that and it plugged right into SFDC. What more could we ask for.

Xactly grow with your expanding Sales team

First implemented Xactly at a small scale company with less than 50 users which quickly scaled to 150+. The tool was nimble and the Xactly team right alongside us as we developed more complex plans. After 2 years on Express we upgraded to Incent successfully.

Deja vu - just completed another implementation of Express at another up and coming organization. Very successful launch, Finance team very pleased with reporting and scalability and the Sales team is thrilled with an automated solution.

Automate your Comp Plan with Xactly

Xactly understands each customer uses Salesforce.com differently and will work with you to customize a solution to fit your needs. Your sales team will be happy with the increased visibility. If you have the data in Salesforce.com, then Xactly can work with you to pay commission on it.

Moving to an automated product has freed up a lot of time that was wasted manually calculating payments through Excel. It has also allowed us to improve our comp plan and add in layers of complexity that were not possible or practical to calculate in Excel.

Great Compensation tool!

Xactly is a great product. While we don't use everything that it has to offer, I certainly understand why they are a leader in this industry. As an administrator, there are plenty of resources to help me learn, and I receive quick assistance when I need to submit a support ticket. I have been using the tool now, and many of the administrative pieces behind the scenes are intuitive. I would recommend Xactly to anyone looking for a compensation tool!

Great Compensation Tool

I have used the Xactly Incent product for the last 5 years. Over that time, there have been significant changes/upgrades to the product. They have re-designed the user interface to make the software more user friendly. This has provided the sales team a quick view into how they are performing. The ability to use the product via app on an iPad provides additional functionality for those individuals who work outside of the office in field sales. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The Analytics tool provides the ability to create ad-hoc reports at a moments notice.

Good tool for Sales Effectiveness and Efficiency

We have being using Xactly since a year now. Our sales team loves the s/w and we keep improving our delivery capability every 3 months. Xactly is a very customer oriented company with focus on solving real issues that sales compensation team face on a day to day basis. Our Sales team love the tool hands down. I am not a big fan of their customer support team in some cases. Tools like Analytics look good on paper but can be deceptively hard to implement.

One-Stop Shop For All Your Compensation Needs

We've been using Xactly for 5 fiscal years now. Our initial AND year-over-year implementation has always been executed with utmost professionalism and superb knowledge of the product platform. We started out in 2011 with Incent, Modeling, Analytics, and Standard Support, and are currently subscribed to Incent, Analytics, Premium Support, Objectives, and Insights.

I'm not a big fan of today's "modern" user interface on Incent, espeically on the Orders screen. I like the tabular field view as opposed to customizing the search field to your specifications; I like to see everything all in one screen as it gives me a hollistic view of the entire transaction on an order item level.
From an Administrative point of view, navigation is very intuitive, from setting up your system and personal preferences, to oboarding a user and setting up a sales incentive plan and routing sales documents. It's definitely a one-stop shop for all your compensation administration needs. With the right integration tools, we've managed to allow for daily automated feeds from our data source, directly to Incent, allowing Sales the opportunity to view and remedy (if need be) any comp-related issues before the month is even finalized. This breakthrough technology has been received by our sales force in a most positive manner, and I'm very happy with Incent's ability to provide us with this type of automation.

I absolutely love the fact that there are monthly webinars always available before and after each scheduled version release, and allows Administrators like me to always be able to cascade new features and enhancements to my fellow Analysts and Sales Teams.

I think my most favorite part of Incent is the ability to customize the report view for each Plan Role, as not all roles are the same, and it eliminates the need to see unnecessary columns, and gives a cleaner view for the end user.

Their professional services team can also create any custom report or process that's not in their already-extensive libary. Their Consultants have not yet been stumped when creating complex rules that translates from our multi-faceted comp credit language.

With regards to Premium Support, DEFINITELY make the investment for this level of support from Xactly as it gives you a higher turnaround rate of issues answered, and they really do prioritize you and answer your questions in a timely manner.

I'm not a big fan of Analytics, but I've heard many good things from avid users during Xactly's CompCloud conference this year. With proper training and more invested time playing around and troubleshooting the build of some of the reports, I'm sure it can be beneficial to use on a regular basis.

Objectives and Insights are new products for us, but we believe that they will definitely be adding value to our business.

Overall, Xactly is a one-stop shop for all your compensation, plan design, and reporting needs, and we are very happy to be doing business with them.

Used Xactly for 8 years

Used Xactly since the last 8 years. It has grown substantially with a lot of product offerings. It is a tool that works great when plans have similar mechanics and easy to track.

Calculation: It gets tricky when your organization has way too many plans, way too many mechanics of calculations and way many crediting rules. With any system, plans, plan mechanics (Crediting and Commissions Payout) should be thought out so that credits flow is as expected. This is critical to analytics that can be reported on. Once this is setup, Xactly works well.

Reporting: It is configured well for Sales through web/mobile devices. Reporting is customizable based on plans which is great with plans that credited and paid differently.

Automation: DELTA is awesome to allow for automatic data feeds from the CRM/ERP tools and also for People related data (PeopleSoft/WorkDay and other such tools).

Overall Summary: People say Xactly is all about "Push of a button". In order to enable that power, every Sales Comp team should empower their processes and systems to make Xactly work with a "Push of a button". Overall a stable tool.

Xactly Best Ever

Xactly is a great tool for compensation. I have only been using it for about 8 months now and it is very user friendly. It can accommodate a multitude of task and calculations. Its definitely better than those long spread sheets we used to use!. Also they are constantly updating and upgrading their program to make it even better. And if you have issues or don't know how to process something the customer service is awesome and will guide you step by step to help you any way they can. Our reps love it as they can see at a glance where they are and how they are doing at any time whether on mobile or desktop devices.
Xactly is definitely on the path to becoming the industry leader for sales compensation!

Xactly - Best Product on the Market

I've been using Xactly for over 4 years now in various companies. Xactly's flexibility is essential for any fast changing/agile company and allows administrators to make changes on the fly to adjust payment plans. Most of the processing can be automated and ran daily on a schedule or/and with a push of a button which makes it very easy. Couldn't be happier using this product and will advocate for it in every company I work!

I am an Xactly customer since 2012 - first with a company in Boston area using Xactly Express and second with a company in the Bay Area using Xactly Incent. Both these products are amazing and I simply love working on them. More than the products, the team is Xactly is really great to work with. The team helps in the best possible way.
