Lazy Xerox fuelling landfill?
I am the proud owner of a Xerox Workcentre 3335 which scans prints and copies well and with reasonable running costs. But every time I have had a Mac OS upgrade which is often - the printer has struggled to re-connect. Finally a month ago Mac upgraded to Tahoe 26.3.1(a) and the connection via my Displaylink died. It seems to me this would appear to be an example of planned obsolescence. If it were so, it would be an environmental crime of some magnitude [in that now for every small usage I must plug and unplug direct and frustration levels are rising] The machine is in great condition and good for 3-5 more years. If only Xerox could and would issue sufficient upgraded drivers so much landfill waste could be avoided…
Worst Company across the internet to…
Worst Company across the internet to get hold of.
When calling their contact telephone number, all we received was a Robotic Answer Machine, that sent us round in circles for fifteen minutes.
No human reaction whatsoever, and we were trying to place a large order.
NEVER AGAIN DO WE TRY TO DEAL WITH THIS SHOWER.
Quoted me the amount of a new printer…
Quoted me the amount of a new printer without even checking what was the issue with my old one (literally a little piece of paper jammed).
Disappointing Experience – Misleading Cartridge Yield and Poor Support
I recently purchased a new Xerox printer based on the specifications advertised on the website, which clearly stated a specific page yield for the starter cartridges supplied with the printer. Unfortunately, the cartridges failed to print anywhere near the stated number of pages.
When I contacted customer support to request a replacement starter cartridge, I was given a series of inconsistent and contradictory explanations as to why this could not be done. Each interaction produced a different reason, none of which aligned with the marketing information provided at the point of sale. Rather than resolving the issue, support appeared focused on deflecting responsibility.
This experience suggests that Xerox’s marketing claims around cartridge yields are unreliable, and that customers may receive significantly less than what is advertised. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to honour the stated specifications is extremely disappointing.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise potential buyers to think twice before purchasing a Xerox printer. The product does not deliver on its advertised package, and customer support does not stand behind the claims made on their own website.
Overcomplicated setup and no support after warranty
I bought a new Xerox WorkCentre 6515 expecting reliable performance and flexible media handling. It was extremely difficult to set up so an engineer arrived to do a software re-install which didnt work as he predicted. He said he knew what the problem was but was forbidden from fixing it. After days of struggle I fixed it myself. Today I tried to print a simple compliments slip—well within the printer’s advertised specs—only to be blocked by cryptic error codes and mismatched settings between tray and driver.
Support refused to help because I’m outside warranty, even though this is clearly a usability issue, not a hardware fault. The printer says “Ready,” the tray is loaded, the job is held—for no clear reason.
For everyday users, this machine is unnecessarily complex. If you’re not a technician, expect frustration. I’ve resorted to handwriting my slips. That says it all.
Enough to make you cry
I'm fairly tech savvy. The printer is the most frustrating printer i have ever owned. The settings do not work. It should be plug and play. its certainly not. and when you do change the settings nothing happens.
Product doesn't work, customer service is balls
Product doesn't work, support literally answers the phone and sits in silence for 20 minutes, then hangs up. I would say I wouldn't wish xerox products on my worst enemy, but Xerox is now my worst enemy
Don't ever get a Xerox printer
Don't ever get a Xerox printer . . . their products are designed to break down so they can charge you a fortune to fix them.
The only thing worse than their products is their support . . . avoid them at all cost!
I have been trying to get help for Xerox 6515 WorkCentre
I have been trying to get help for a faulty printer since 9.30am, at 3pm i get a quote, i ask what the quote is for and i am told they dont know. £366. They ask me to sign to send an engineer. But no description of what is involved in this price. I reply and now at 4.30pm still no reply. Such poor customer service!
So wish I'd read the dreadful reviews of this…
So wish I'd read the reviews of this company! Would not have bought online as have had nothing but trouble with getting a guarantee and with customer service. I bought a new Xerox printer online a week ago and today had it installed by a trusted local firm. I then went online to register the printer for the guarantee and 3-year tech support that the company promises, but was unable to find the serial number of the machine, which came without any paperwork. Turns out the reg number is inside the front flap! When I did find it, the Xerox site would not accept my registration number and I went round in circles for over an hour before giving up. Xerox Customer Service was useless - the person was nice and meant to be helpful, but but didn't understand the problem and was unable to help.
I hadn't looked at Xerox's customer service record on Trustpilot before buying online. And I can't even return it: having paid my local tech for the setup, he took the box to the tip.
Shocking service
Shocking service. 6 months and counting to get a xerox altalink up and running. I don't know how they have any customers.
Unreliable equipment. No customer support.
Appalling. I wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole. I bought a B230 printer one year and two months ago. After some earlier glitches, it stopped printing from my PC last week. I phoned Xerox to ask for some technical advice because it can still print a test page and I'm guessing it's a minor fault. After 25 minutes, I was told because the printer is out of warranty, they will not provide telephone advice and would have to send an engineer at a cost of £200 to £600. (The printer cost £115.) So, probably not for the first time, a Xerox laser printer that's just over a year old will be going to landfill. A useful lesson, at least: Do NOT touch Xerox. The hardware is unreliable and the customer support is non-existent. Wish I'd read the reviews here first.
Shocking poor service zero warranty
crap customer service avoid, purchased a new laser printer less than a year ago, original toner had faulty chip resulting in machine locking up, spent an age on phone to support, finally got engineer call back to advise there is a bad batch of toner cartridges where the chip stop workings. This is a genuine xerox part, he said it will be replaced under warranty. Low and behold XEROX today called me back after I chased them up and said they will not cover a faulty toner cartridge as cartridges are not covered by warranty even though the printer is less than 12 months old and still on its original toner.. REF: 64983422. UK support, 03709005501. Complete joke of a company. No way am I buying any more bad chip cartridges from ZEROX as they do not guarantee them, they do not work and XEROX do not care about service.
B225 printer with weekly problems - avoid
I was persuaded (by Printerland UK) to buy a Xerox B225 printer rather than another HP printer to go with my HP laptop. I followed their advice and am landed with the worst printer I've had in 40 years. At least once a week it shows the error code 'Remote Communication Failure' and won't connect with my Windows laptop or my Apple phone. At least once a week I've had to spend an hour or more trying to reconnect it to my wifi and thus to my other devices. It is such a pain that I am going to have to buy another printer. I can't go on like this. Just don't buy one.
My Xerox wifi printer works just fine!
Really poor Customer Sipport
We had an error code come up on our printer so I contacted support using the AI chatbot. Nothing worked so they put me through to the main support team Because the warranty had run out on the printer they wouldn't help and said we needed an engineer which would cost between £200-£600!! Absolutely disgusted!

Xerox Versalink C7100
Xerox Versalink C7100. This printer makes me very angry, because it never works. Absolute disgrace. For anyone thinking of buying one, please for your wellbeing, do not buy one.
There is a update that needs to be done to work.
There is a update that needs to be done on my printer but convinently requires a warenty to get the brige update. So they refused to help me. Now i am stuck with a useless printer.
DO NOT BUY FROM XEROX.
The technical and customer support
The technical and customer support was rude and unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a Xerox product, as you'll be left with a non-functioning machine and no assistance.
