The internet service is great, but the real winner is the fast and friendly tech department. Any issues we have are answered very fast (and they're local!) 5G speed.

happy xplornet customer

We had issues with our internet, xplornet was prompt with service, easy to understand and explained everything clearly. I highly recommend xplornet.

Customer service excellence

I had some e-mail issues which the agent was able to guide me through over the phone. He was patient knowledgeable and very obliging. In today's uncaring environment it was a refreshing experience to find a level of excellence in customer service. I have been with Xplore for over 5 years and have always found them to be an excellent company to deal with. Kudos to them and their dedication to excellence in customer service.

100% Top notch customer service!

We have been with Xplore in rural Alberta for about 14 years. I have NEVER had a Customer Service call to them that I did not feel great about afterwards. That is VERY hard to find in today's world.
I am NEVER harassed with endless telemarketing phone calls or emails to upgrade every time they have something new like almost all the other providers of mobile, home phone or other necessary services out there. That also is VERY hard to find. Most of all, I will always refuse other providers because I could never go with someone who isn't there to help on the other end of the phone whenever I have an issue. These people are the very best!

Xplornet was able to provide fibre…

Xplornet was able to provide fibre optic service in my area. I had difficulty finding service from the bigger providers. A door knocker sign at my door, and within a few days, I had the installation completed, and I have amazing internet service.

Why go anywhere else

We have internet. It has been reliable (more than other carriers we’ve had) and the people are always try to help (installers and customer service). Great company!

Delivered everything promised

Great customer service for initial setup and otherwise. Quick installation. Easy to contact. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Recently had questions about plan and adding options, used chat feature and talked with Niall - all was explained and completed in five minutes. Loving our service with Xplore.

No Loyalty to Customers

I am currently the IT tech for my church who has been using Xplore since they purchased Swift in 2021. We originally had Xplornet when we first got internet at our church as they were the only provider in the area. Even back then, they would overload their towers, so in the evenings when we would need the internet it may as well have not been working. Then along comes Swift who’s promise was to never overload their towers, and they kept their promise. Then Xplornet comes along in 2021 and purchases Swift and their entire network. Service continues to be good until early 2024 when we start seeing drops in service.
May 5, we received an email to say that they will be discontinuing our service as of June 24. This starts a slew of multiple phone calls and emails to find out what is going on.
When calling tech support, once they realize that this is a commercial account, we are transferred to the business support.
After a couple of emails with a client rep, we are informed that actually the tower we are connected with is going to be kept for the commercial connections.
August 6, we get a notice that the legacy system we are connected with is being shutdown on August 30.
August 16, receive a final notice that the legacy system is now being shutdown on August 26
Cue the call to support, select call back, which turns into a 45 minute call
Support says there is nothing we can do, a rep will call me
While on the call, am informed that actually the tower is being shutdown on October 30
August 21, Still waiting for the rep to call

Conclusion: Back in May we were given the option to stay with Xplore, install and set up new hardware: $17,000, Monthly fee $629+tax for 100/100Mbps service. I will not fault the tech support with Xplore, I am a tech myself and the ones I have spoken with on the phone were great. The company on the other hand I absolutely despise, they bought out all the competition, overloaded their systems, and way overpriced everything. One of my friends has the Xplore 5G LTE and he can’t even watch a streaming service, their new system is absolute garbage. I don’t like saying this but the company deserves to shut down, I do feel sorry for all the employees when this happens.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company, they're a zero. They have too many users on their towers. I have a 50 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload package and only get about 5 Mbps / 1 Mbps in the evening (sometimes less). It's not enough to watch a streaming service reliably.

This company grossly misleads people into thinking they have fast speeds, they don't. If you don't have another option, they do "technically" provide internet service, but only barely.

Xplore/Xplornet may be garbage but…

Xplore/Xplornet may be garbage but atleast they're not marketing 10 Mbps DSL services as "fibe" like bell does. However I still do think it's sad that a company that receives millions of tax payer dollars every year is still offering 100 Mbps in 2024 and bragging about it - especially considering the 100 Mbps 5G service is available in like 10 areas in Ontario.

Really. 100 mbps is the best to be offered with 5G uwb? The network clearly uses fiber backbones at almost every tower. But here we are 2024 100 Mbps for 85+$/month

Extremely frustrated with this service

Extremely frustrated with this service. We tried to cancel our service 4 months ago, were told they were going to give us 2 free months of service which we said we did not want and to cancel. They said we will keep you on for free, call us in 2 months if you still want to cancel. So we called again after 2 months to cancel and we got the same result. They gave us 2 months free and to avoid an ARGUMENT with them we accepted the additional 2 months free. After the 1st month we got billed for there service. Called and explained to them what happened and they said there is nothing they can do, and they will cancel the service now. They have absolutely horrible customer service for a service that was always complete s**t. I will never recommend this service to anyone and will always speak negatively about the service we received.

Zero wasn't an option.

I gave them a one because 0 wasnt an option. They have a problem with our cable television feed which hasn't been fixed in 16 days, with no ETA and they keep using different lies to explain the problem. We have had multiple outages of internet, almost daily occurrences. Late last year they charged me late fees on my automatic bank withdrawal because they changed the form, and didn't bother to tell me I had to fill out a new one. The one they supplied online was the wrong one! Incompetence is the only description.

Stay far far away. Terrible system.

They have sent out techs 5 times to aim the antenna.

Makes no difference.

Paying for 25 Mbps getting 5.

Not blaming the techs, they are doing what they are told.

It is a tower problem.
