UPGRADED TO NO INTERNET BY EPLORNET
I started getting messages on my phone from xplornet saying they had to UPGRADE my equipment...over and over again. There was nothing wrong or different with my internet BUT I called them back and they sent a TEC out anyway. He told me he pointed my receiver SOUTH instead of NORTH where it was because the tower south was CLOSER. It never worked right again. I called at LEAST FOUR TIMES and am being told I can either pay $125.00 to have a TEC out OR I can buy an insurance plan for $8.00 a month and they will send someone to FIX what they came here and done to my mast. Now I am told they DID NOT upgrade anything...they just turned my receiver south. WHY would they do that, I never asked them to....THEY said they had to do it....NOW I have to pay them to come back and undo what THEY did. Does this sound like someone YOU would like to deal with.....better put a little thought into THAT.

What can I say abiut this company. They are the worst service provider we have ever dealt with. This company loves to place the blame on customers yet their service constantly goes down. They charge over 100.00 a month and speeds more times than not can't reach 10mbps or above.
Customer service is awful. The blame game of these clowns always saying its the customers hardware and not their pathetic service is a joke.
Stay away from this company. They are not worth the frustration.
Dial up connections have been faster
I've had dial up connections back in the 90's faster than this garbage fire they call internet. I pay $135/month for their LTE 50mbs and barely break 15mbs on a GOOD DAY. The only reason I even signed up with these scam artists was because the other company didn't offer unlimited anymore after the first couple of months of the Pandemic. During the pandemic with 3 kids at a home needing to do schoolwork, they were chewing up the data in no time.
I can't wait until I can get rid of these con-artists and tell them when I cancel exactly what I think of their service and customer support.
Do yourself a favour and save up for Starlink upfront cost. Have yet to hear anything bad from some of the people that have it.
xplore.ca internet service disappointing
xplore.ca internet was always on and off never stable. Plus customer service technician appointments pretty bad never comes on time. They can forget it’s scheduled. No management when their technician go sick. if you are going to a faraway location just for that appointment it’s likely you will be super disappointed.

Our company started with WiBand, which was bought by CCI, which was bought by Xplornet.
Everything was great until the Xplornet takeover. Since then, services has slowly degraded to the point where our internet service goes down every single day. Sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes much longer. Some days, it goes down several times.
Absolutely horrible service, and ridiculously expensive for what you get. Stay far, far, away.
Internet is slow and unreliable
Internet was very slow and unreliable. If it was raining or cloudy the internet did not work. They are unwilling to stand by their verbal agreements and resolve billing conflicts.
Service great. Installers make the difference
I read other comments of bad service, but this personally I believe is installer issues in there area which are generally contractors that are subed out. We have no issues what so ever as do my neighbour's and the installers here in this area are awsome to deal with.

So I finally canceled my Explorer net satellite internet. After jumping through hoops and calling several times. They finally charged me for 7 months deactivation fee because I had a year contract with them. The service never worked properly. I couldn't stream a movie. I couldn't even use my cell phone with the Wi-Fi. It was so slow. I feel I shouldn't have to pay for a deactivation fee for a service that never worked properly. Be worn, stay away from their satellite internet. If you need satellite internet, pay the money and get starlink it works great.

Absolutely the worst customer experience that I have had in several years.
Their equipment was constantly failing and all they wanted to do was charge me to send a tech out to investigate. It's their equipment that they charged me for monthly. Why would I pay to repair their equipment??
When I cancelled the service they tried to waste an hour of my life by demanding that I complete a customer exit interview. Brutal!! Use ANYBODY else!!

If I could give this a negative rating less than zero, I would, and it would be negative infinity. This is the worst internet service I have ever experienced. DO NOT EVER CONSIDER THIS COMPANY. IT WOULD HAVE TO VASTLY IMPROVE TO BE CONSIDERED PATHETIC AT BEST. GARBAGE SERVICE, EMPTY PROMISES AND NOTHING BUT BS. IT CUTS OUT CONSTANTLY, IT HAS COST ME CONTRACTS. DON'T BOTHER. I literally had to create a trust pilot account just to negatively comment on this scam internet company that provides the most pathetic internet ever put into existence. For over 100$ a month and I have a worse connection than if I were to wear a tinfoil hat and stand outside. I would most certainly rather use any possible other service, although they have a monopoly on internet in my area. I think a static electric balloon stuck to the wall would be more suitable than ever freely choosing to use xplornet. It is so utterly miserable to be a customer of this company I am contemplating going to jail to access the inmate wifi. I am eternally depressed every time i wake up and have to choose this as my internet and my life will be 1000 times better never having heard of xplornet or to ever use their product again. Please for your health do not sign up to this non cancel-able draconian worse than moon landing connection internet service your life counts on it.
