No plan to fix internet

Our tower is being shut down in June. We paid 1800 for it 2 years ago, thinking it was a long-term investment. Explore decided to change formats with no customer reimbursement. Now the equipment we do have is not working, even though it's April, and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I asked to switch to their satellite, and it's going to take a month to have that happen.

We had great internet service for a few…

We had great internet service for a few years using Whispernet, a small Alberta company. Tower was less than half a mile away. When Xplornet took over, then made us switch to another tower 8 miles away. No obstacles interfering with signal. But of course they overload the system with new customers. Us rural folk get bumped off server so we have no internet between 4pm until 8-10 pm. They do this all the time. Now looking for another company B Tyndall, Lousana AB

Worst internet provider I've ever dealt…

Worst internet provider I've ever dealt with. I lived in Alberta for 27 years and 2 years ago I moved back to Ontario. I signed on with Xplore 6 months ago and I've had to call 3 times to have a service tec come to reset my dish and, I literally live in the edge of Lindsay. Nothing but problems with the actual service and I am now going elsewhere.

We called to cancel their services…

We called to cancel their services several times in July 2023 and they still kept charging us. Now they are threatening to take us to collections. We were customers for 7 years and this is the kind of treatment we get. How many times do we need to call and say the same thing for them to understand and cancel the service?

Do not ever use xplorenet. We have been trying for over a year to disconnect our service. We've spent hours on the phone to contact them, to no avail. They are making it impossible to end our service. Worst company EVER!

I would give 0 rating if I could

I would give 0 rating if I could. They installed the dish on my house, damaged the siding and tried saying the damage was already there. The guy I talked to wouldn’t even listen to my side of the story and I have pictures of how the house was prior to their installation. Very poor company to deal with not to mention very rude as well. I definitely will no longer pay for their internet. Would NOT recommend!!

Disappointing ending to my service

The internet service is definitely better than dialup however, streaming is a no go, at least for me. Installation was free but it was sloppy. Wires are run all over the outside of your home. When you cancel the service they want $125 to send a “technician” to remove the thing on your roof! I use the term technician very loosely. It’s ridiculous that they’ll install for free but charge to remove their equipment. I wouldn’t ever let anyone install this crap on my roof again. It’s a joke, with wires hanging off your roof and zip tied to your eves etc… A bit disappointing after being a loyal customer. It was the best Internet I could get prior to cable being available.

$150.00 a month for mediocre Internet Service.

I started using their new service with their new satellite. It is absolutely crapp. The older version was better. At the very least it would not shut down. The new version is in fact the same speed as the older version or slower. But xplornet said it would be faster. Their router black box HT3000 is garbage. It shuts down a lot because it overheats. So I have to put the unit on ice to cool it down to get some signal. Also the signal from their new satellite is weak. The transmit icon on the router is always flashing. It should be solid. Anyway can't wait until the housing project next door to me is established because I will be getting Rogers Fibre at a cheaper price with unlimited 500gsps. Xplorenet is a waste of hard earned money.

Terrible and greedy

Terrible and greedy, moved my company they told me the account was closed than I one day they took months of payments before Christmas and left me with no funds. Had to fight to get my money back and only got a portion. They sent a box to ship their equipment back but the technician put the satellite so high o the roof we had to hire someone with a lift to get it. Cost me more money. Never give them your credit card they will just take what they want and than you have to fight to get it back...

Our internet is slower then dial-up or not even connected.

We barely have a signal connecting to the tower. We called and they say something is wrong but won't say what. They also said in a couple days it will be working and we won't receive a call back and that we just need to wait.

I know this is a lie because of all the previous problems we have had. I start my conversations telling them I've reset everything
to save time and that the problem is on their end. If i had another option i would take it. Starlink is my only option now.

They could at least say what isn't working and stop trying to say it's the customers equipment.

Happy Country Customer

We had the service man here today. Talked with us about what he would be installing. Was friendly and took his shoes off before coming in. The install was quick and the service seems to be excellent, great Wifi. A happy customer Gayle

WORST internet/customer service/Phone automation

No one knows how their own process actually works in customer care. I was hung up on 4 times trying to contact someone in support over 3 hours and 30 minutes. Verified my information two times per phone call.
I haven't had 1 full day without issues with the internet service sense it was installed Feb 13th.
At this point it is costing my in home business hundreds of dollars.
The actually internet service is terrible, the customer support is worse. I cant believe i fell for their scam i should have known better.

YES they are having an outage today but this is only the straw that broke the camels back.

Only positive i have is that they installer was a great guy, explained a lot. They sent 1 guy for probably a 2 guy job tho so I had to help him pull some line witch is no big deal, he was a good guy.
Sales team assured me this was the best solution for what i needed, either they lied or they are being lied to by higher ups about the quality of the services they are pushing.
Hopefully i can get out and with someone else

they just confirmed they will not come out to service my equipment either (not that it should need it after 2 weeks)

They offer you a service that does not…

They offer you a service that does not work. Slow to no service and no refunds for something that doesn't work. They knew when they signed me up that their satellite was "congested". Finally got a tech to admit it and actually tell me he understood how upset he would be if that happened to him. Their only recourse is to keep paying them only half the monthly amount going further. During Super Bowl Sunday the pages on my Mac couldn't even load. Why would I pay for a car with no wheels. That is the closest analogy I have in what their product was like. Yes, I had all the equipment but it did not work. A scam company for sure. You shouldn't advertise you are Canadian....gives Canadian companies a bad name. They need a 0 option for this company.
Shame on you.
