Avoid avoid avoid
They say their trading is with no fees and no taxes. Lie
They charged me over £ 1200 in fees and refuse to return it.
They also refuse to return all my withdrawal funds with many tactics to delay. So far I have waited a week but they tell you its same day before 1pm.
XTB are not professional and can not be trusted. Run by a bunch of kids.
On Facebook reviews many people have not got their withdrawal money returned.

FCA warnings

FCA warnings, suspicious emails, and major red flags — be extremely cautious

I downloaded what appeared to be an official XTB app, but several issues immediately raised serious concerns. Replies to my emails came from an unofficial “on‑behalf‑of” address, which is a known indicator of spoofing or unverified third‑party routing — not something you expect from a regulated financial institution.

After researching independently, I found that the Financial Conduct Authority has issued warnings about impersonating accounts using the XTB name. This aligned with the irregularities I was seeing.

The platform then requested a bank statement just to process a small withdrawal, despite not requiring any such document for deposits. This is a recognised tactic in identity‑theft and organised fraud schemes, especially when paired with pressure to provide more documents in exchange for “bonuses” or “faster processing.”

Another red flag was the pattern of overly positive Trustpilot reviews that appear formulaic and potentially orchestrated. The volume and tone of these reviews do not match the behaviour I experienced, which raises the possibility of artificially generated feedback — a common tactic in scam operations.

Until a verified compliance address confirms the legitimacy of the communication, I consider the operation highly suspicious. Do not send personal documents to any unverified source. Always cross‑check details directly with the FCA.

bad experience

I have tried 1000 times to explain to them that the documents in MK are written in Cyrillic but they do not take it into account. I have wasted 2 days trying to explain to them but in vain!! while on another platform it took 30 minutes with the same documents and I became a member now I do business with them, and I do not want to hear about the XTB platform and I do not recommend it to anyone. It is a waste of time, if you want XTB you can see the documents on its platform, not asking for those documents from me and the Pilot Trust should not deactivate our complaints ...

Avoid like the plague!

Avoid like the plague!

I spent almost 2 weeks sending proof of id and address, XTB have an obnoxious person answering their chat. They couldn’t get past the fact that all my accounts were joint accounts! So unless you’re single, they don’t want to know you. I tried to proceed by spending time, taking my wife’s name off one of the accounts and sent them a Water Bill Statement … they wanted an invoice. I would have to wait till the next quarter, so that didn’t help. So I opened up a new bank account, solely in my name. Advised XTB as such. They asked for statements going back 3 months to continue.
The whole process is a joke.
I’m afraid I have reached the end of my tether, adhering to stupid policies and demands, and cannot wait any longer, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Last straw was today when customer service told me that it isn’t their policy to NOT have joint accounts. So why …?
Seems like they don’t know what they are doing, so I definitely would trust them with my money.

2 weeks just to verify

I had verified my account done all the processes and in the app it would show account has been verified . When I tried to open my account it would show waiting for verification I contacted them and they told me that they need some documents. I told it’s ok and waited but still no one contacted so I have to wait for 2 weeks for my account to be verified 2 weeks just for verification when already provided the address proof, residency proof , face verification and all . Other trading platforms do the verification process on 5-10 minutes so this is the customer service in 2026 you have to wait 2 weeks what a joke

Discrimination, retaliation, and a toxic work environment

This review is based on my personal experience at XTB.

During my employment, I was repeatedly subjected to discriminatory behavior and inappropriate remarks regarding my perceived sexual orientation, including suggestions like “go to the gym to fix my hormones” and similar degrading comments. These were humiliating, invasive, and unprofessional.

I also faced work obstruction and unfair treatment: supervisors often ignored my questions or gave misleading information, making tasks unnecessarily difficult and creating a toxic, hostile, and psychologically unsafe environment.

I submitted a formal whistleblowing report, which the Team Leader was not supposed to know about. Afterward, I was explicitly informed my contract would be renewed. However, the Team Leader tried to complicate things, suggesting unnecessary “training months” despite my high KPI performance.

On my last working day, attempts to contact higher management failed (everyone was off). Eventually, the Team Leader called me to the office, made me work until the last minute, and repeatedly said we were “waiting for the legal team”—though no legal team was present. At the end, in a meeting room with only him present, he harshly informed me my contract would not be renewed because I submitted the report. My laptop was taken, and I was treated with suspicion and humiliation, including statements implying my activity would be monitored to prevent misuse.

This experience was intimidating, humiliating, and unprofessional, demonstrating clear retaliation, breach of trust, and lack of whistleblower protection. It had a serious negative impact on my mental health and left me with the impression that employee dignity, inclusion, and safety are not genuinely protected.

I strongly advise potential employees to carefully evaluate the company culture, management behavior, and actual effectiveness of anti-discrimination and whistleblowing policies, rather than relying solely on public statements.

Dishonest broker

Avoid like the plague. They will trade against your position. Your win is their loss. Soon as you start making profit, they will throw some hoops, block your account or kick you out. Very dishonest market makers. Avoid at all costs

Regret Before Even Start

I wanted to open a simple demo account with XTB, but the whole process was unnecessarily complicated and far too intrusive.
To create just a demo account, I had to go through repeated email verification, SMS codes, and full personal-details forms — I had to start the process from the beginning three times.
Then, only minutes after entering my phone number, I received an unsolicited call from XTB, asking me to upload my driving licence or ID and provide proof of address. I explained clearly that I only wanted a demo account to test whether I even liked the platform, not a real account.
The response I received was unbelievable:
“YOU CANNOT OPEN A DEMO ACCOUNT IF YOU DON’T HAVE A REAL ONE.”
This defeats the entire purpose of a demo account.
For around 1.6 million clients, XTB has one person sitting somewhere and interrupting all users as soon as they type their personal phone number. Unacceptable and disappointing.
Now my personal data is stored with XTB for no valid reason, and this raises concerns about privacy, unwanted calls, and why people end up receiving suspicious contact after providing details to companies.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. A demo account should not require full KYC verification, unsolicited calls, or pressure to upload documents. The whole process felt more like data collection than offering a genuine demo service.
I regret even starting the registration, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend XTB.
