In November 2024, I entered into a formal contract with Exterior and subsequently paid 80% of the total project cost as an advance. Since that time, the company has repeatedly failed to meet scheduled installation dates. Communication has become non-existent; despite numerous attempts to reach out via phone and email, my inquiries remain unanswered, and no status updates have been provided. Given the total lack of progress and the company’s apparent disappearance with my funds, I am now initiating formal legal proceedings. For the record, the primary points of contact throughout this dispute have been Ryan, Alex, Chris, Lauren, and Rob.
Could you please share your contact details so we can take joint action? I am looking to file a case against the company, as well as separate criminal and fraud charges against the directors. It would be much more beneficial and effective if we proceed together with our combined evidence.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before choosing Xterior for a lifestyle room project.

Please don’t be misled by the reviews you see on Instagram — many of them appear to be paid promotions rather than genuine customer experiences.

My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing. Initially, they approached us with an offer of 60% upfront payment and the remaining balance spread over 10 months via EMI. However, after taking our money, the project dragged on for nearly **two years**, despite countless calls and emails from our side.

Eventually, after what felt like endless follow-ups, someone named L....n took over and informed us that if we wanted the items delivered to our home, we would have to pay the full remaining amount upfront — completely contradicting the original agreement.

As for the “lifestyle room” itself, it is poorly suited for UK weather. It’s only usable in summer. During winter, ice formed and even hung from the roof. When the rainy season arrived, the room started leaking badly, flooding the space and damaging our furniture.

Despite being promised a 10-year warranty, I received no support. Customer service was completely unresponsive, and I had no choice but to hire an independent handyman to fix the issues at my own expense.

Overall, this has been a very stressful and costly experience. Please be cautious and do your research before committing — I wouldn’t want others to go through the same situation.

Hi I gave my order in march 2025 my contract with me under 3 months they will make my order I paid £13300deposit
But now in march 2026 they still-not give my order and no answer phone
This company very poor service and one sale men Roy not answering your phone after your deposit I emailed them refund my money but no answer that’s reason I’m not happy with them I give everyone advice don’t book any order with them thanks

Please dont part with your money when dealing with this company or any people who work for them...they will probably fold and just reopen under another name...many people have been scammed by them..take money and see nothing for it. Don't give them your money. 1 year in waiting !

I contacted this company to install a pergola in my back garden.
They have two website, Xterior.co.uk and Xteriorlifestyle.com, both showing same company’s address.
They visited my home and explained the available options.
Once we agreed on the final design and price, I was asked to pay an 80% deposit upfront, which they said was required to start processing the order.
I paid this deposit in early April 2025.
Since then, nothing has happened. Communication has been always extremely difficult. Emails are only answered after repeated chasing, and phone calls are rarely returned.
Whenever I did receive a response, I was repeatedly told that my pergola is a bespoke order and that production at a factory in Poland would take time.
After about eight months of continuous chasing, when I’ve started involving also their Polish supplier/producer Tarasola, they finally confirmed an installation week by email — however, this commitment was also not honoured.
It has now been almost 10 months, and there is still no pergola, no installation, and no clear explanation.
Customer service, when is rarely available, keeps saying order is in production.
As it stands, they have only taken a very large deposit and delivered nothing at all.
I am now approaching a solicitor to begin legal proceedings.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before paying this company any money.
