Ian was an exceptional instructor; patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. Really good fun! My wife and I left the course feeling fully competent handling a powerful RIB, mastering a range of manoeuvres with confidence. The course was highly practical, with most of the time spent on the water exploring beautiful coves along the Croatian coast. Ian even went above and beyond by assisting us providing advice on our first solo passage after the course. Couldn’t recommend it more!

I took the RYA Powerboat Assessment course. All the necessary information was sent to me in advance. But most importantly, while I was expecting just a simple skills check to confirm my qualification (as the name of the program suggests), I ended up getting so much more.

In just three hours, my instructor Ian delivered a hands-on session that covered all possible aspects of powerboat handling — so well that I genuinely felt a significant upgrade in my skills, not just a formality to receive a certificate.

On top of that, the whole experience wasn’t conducted in a stressful exam-like atmosphere, but rather in a friendly and supportive way, with Ian clearly eager to share his knowledge and experience. He even took some great photos and videos during the training!

The instructors are amazing. They’re very helpful and thorough. The course itself was extremely enjoyable and fun even though it was a short course it was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to start working on motorboats I can’t recommend this place enough.

I took the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course with Yacht Sail Training. The training exceeded my expectations. The instructor, Ian, was highly professional and knowledgeable. I felt prepared to handle a boat after finishing the course.

I did the RYA Powerboat Level 2 with Ian this year and could not have had a better time. Ian was an attentive, hands-on instructor with a clear passion for the ocean. It is rare to find someone with this quality that is so delicately balanced with incredible teaching skills. I’m looking forward to getting more certifications with Ian & the school in the future.

I had a lot of fun during the competent crew course! We sailed on the first-class fully equipped, clean boat with all you could need on board. During the course, our crew stayed and lived on board in the presence of the very professional skipper-instructor. We simulated real situations that may occur during the stay on board, had a lot of fun and laughter. Now I can tie the different knots in my sleep! The sailing became more understandable for me and awakened my wish of going further with it. We visited not only the famous Croatian destinations but also peeked into less-known spots of the Croatian coast and were amazed about the Beaty of the different islands. It was never boring, we had always something to do: learned, sailed, played some games, swam in the sea, cooked some delicious food, or had dinner at the restaurants. A couple of times on our route we’ve seen the dolphins very close to our boat. The night navigation was a special adventure and something exciting and beautiful. That sky full of stars is unforgettable! The whole 5 days were filled with joy and the feeling of the strong and warmhearted community. Thank you very much! Great skipper course, exploring beautiful bays, making new friends, learning the ropes and how to navigate the seas. Super comfortable boat and all round fun time with exploration of each harbour, island, village every evening. It was a fantastic blend of learning and enjoyment. Thank you YST 🤗⛵️

After couple of years of working in the industry, I decided to start with my RYA qualifications. Competent crew was first course, that requierd no previouse experience. Instructor Franco was amazing Happy to share his knowledge and experience. I done my course mid May, 2021. Weather was perfect for sailing. We had breakfast and lunch included with the course, and every night as a group we would eat in some of the local Croatian restoraunts. I had previous experience in sailing, but I learned so much for the duration of the course. Yacht Sail Training is very profesional company, and I alredy booke my Day Skipper course for the next summer. I 100% recomend this company, they are situated in a magnificent are to start your sailing experience. You won't regreat doing it.

Great Course loved my training with them and feel confident to get out on the water more.
