Don't go to this tailor.

Don't go to this tailor.
I had eight items shipped to my home. One does not fit at all - will need an entire vested top re-do.
Another was not even cut properly on the bottom, to the point where the red bottom underlay slip is showing. I realized later that there is a pleat on one side of the dress but not on the opposite side!
Another item seemingly fit at first, but when I wear it out, shows my entire chest. It’s not meant to be revealing.

All items were quite expensive items ($230, $200, $155). This is on a $1,300 total, so you'd think the store would be more kind in my issues.

I had my measurements taken, and then I went to the shop for two additional fittings following that. On the first time I tried on the clothes, nothing was ready or fit properly. Also, the white dress I mention was still with the seamstress upstairs
On my second visit, most items were ready for the final delivery, but I tried on a version of this white dress that was barely stitched together. The red dress mentioned above still needed a lot of work, too.

When I came to the store the first time, I was part of a group. Knowing we were in Hoi An for a limited amount of time, we were promised that the clothes would be ready the next day.
Nothing was ready, as promised. And, I was never able to fully try on the "complete" version of these two dresses, and multiple other items, despite being in the store for two additional try-on sessions.

I reached out to share my experiences above and requested a refund in the amount of $300. I live in the NYC area and tailoring is absurdly expensive - I will now have to have the items fixed. They can't be worn as-is.
This request was denied and the store asked me to ship the items back from the USA to Vietnam. I then pushed and pushed, telling them I was going to report this to the group leader and company who brought us there - finally got this refund.

Additionally, the shop provided incorrect tracking info at least four times, being assured each time that it was correct.

So much time and money was wasted.

Very poor quality

Very poor quality
I had 2 dresses made and the quality was terrible. The stitching was worse than a cheap fast fashion and the fit was completely off. Given that they are not cheap I was very disappointment.

Absolutely terrible tailoring…

Absolutely terrible tailoring experience with.
I spent over $1000 USD on custom shirts and pants and gave detailed measurements and specifications multiple times. Despite repeating everything over and over, the final products arrived extremely tight and poorly fitted.
After just ONE wash, all the linen shrank badly — the sizing basically became an Asian Small. The quality and fabric treatment are nowhere near acceptable for premium custom tailoring.
It honestly feels like they do not understand how to tailor for European or North American body types. The stitching, fit, and customization were far below expectations, especially for the price charged.
Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of money.

Worst Tailor Experience in Hoi An — Save Your Money and Go Elsewhere

I've been coming to Hoi An for years and have used several different tailors. This trip, I decided to go with Yaly Couture, thinking their reputation meant quality. My wife and I placed an order worth about $2,000 USD. It turned out to be the single worst tailoring experience I've ever had, and I've had plenty to compare it to.

The staff member assigned to us was constantly walking away in the middle of consultations. I had specific requirements and preferences to discuss, but she kept disappearing. What should have taken one hour stretched into four because I spent three of those hours simply waiting for her to come back.

When measurements were finally taken, they were done poorly. The first fitting was so far off that an extra round of alterations was needed. What was promised as a two day turnaround became four days, eating into time we could have spent actually enjoying the city.

The attitude made everything worse. The staff member was aggressive in her tone, words, and even physically rough when handling my body for measurements. There was no sense of service or care.

I was never offered any choices for buttons, stitching, or engraving. When I asked multiple times, the answer was always "cannot, cannot, cannot." Out of curiosity I asked another staff member, who confirmed they absolutely could do all of it. But the person assigned to me overheard and shut it down again. It was only when I escalated to the managers that they confirmed, yes, of course these options were available.

The final insult: my wife received a pair of pants where one leg was white and the other was yellow. We sent photos and videos showing the defect. They acknowledged the problem. That was over five months ago. Every time we follow up about a reimbursement, the answer is "we will check." Still nothing.

I eventually had to escalate the entire situation just to get my deposit back for the remaining issues.

There are so many tailors in Hoi An who will actually listen to you, take proper measurements, offer real customization, and deliver on time. Do yourself a favour and choose one of them instead. Yaly Couture was all reputation and zero substance.

ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD!!!

ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD!!!! Bought 4 shirts and 4 pair of shorts. There wasn't too much difference in price than the uk but I thought "Hey tailor made clothes at off-the-shelf prices... Bargain! "
Within a short period of time one of the shirts split at the shoulder seam.
Then I noticed that not all of the button holes iin the shorts hadn't been cut.
Shabby work all round in my opinion

Avoid them

Avoid them. They don't understand the difference between a tuxedo and a blazer. It's shocking given how long they have been in business. Their sales staff have very poor customer service, they don't know how to deal with complaints. Their approach to complaints is to hang up the phone. They shipped a tuxedo in a box the size of a pizza box. A tuxedo that can fit in a box that size lacks heft, quality and has the build of a floppy T-shirt.

If are looking for a throw away suit, that is poorly made, go to them. But they a charge a premium, so you are better off looking for alternatives.

The Yaly Coutere service and quality is…

The Yaly Coutere service and quality is exceptional. Kayla and Susan are brilliant. The prices for multiple items of men’s and women’s pieces that were tailored, superb. The speed, of a day, from measure to completion, notable for those travellers in a hurried itinerary. My partner and I felt compelled to write a review of praise. 10 out of 10.

Not doing the order as accepted

Not doing the order as accepted
I was not safisfied.
The cheap plastic bouttens were on the shirt instead of the mother of pearl, that we decided. The collar and sleeve endings were with the material instead of just two layers of cloth as decided. The crepe de.chine was beautiful, and I wish I could have a nice shirt made of it. But to late.
But I could not complain since I was leaving soon after the delivery

Recently had 2 dresses made from my own…

Recently had 2 dresses made from my own designs with the help from Penny at Yaly. Really pleased with what I got and great value when you consider the work that goes into making custom garments from scratch. I had 2 fittings and the finished dresses were delivered to my hotel at no extra charge. The designs were not basic but everything was turned around in just 3 days.
I visited 2 other tailors before choosing this one because they had a better range of fabrics (in my opinion).
