I recently ordered three custom-tailored suits from them in Vietnam on June 4 and received them on June 15. This was not my first order, and they already had my measurements on file from a previous purchase, which made the process even smoother.
From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Communication was outstanding via WhatsApp, despite the significant time difference between Vietnam and the United States. They responded promptly, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure every detail was exactly as I wanted.
The quality of the materials is exceptional, and the artistry is first-class. I was given numerous options for fabrics, styling, and finishing details, allowing me to customize each suit to my personal preferences. When the suits arrived, they fit beautifully and exceeded my expectations.

I have just received 2 blouses and 1 pair of trousers tailored by ADong Silk and I am extremely pleased with them. In 2012 I had clothes made by them while I was in Hoi An and was very pleased with them. I had clothes made that I still wear today. As I wanted a particular style of blouse made I decided to ask them to tailor it for me and mail it out to me. I added another blouse and a pair of trousers to make the US$70 postage worth it. The clothes fit me perfectly ( even on my own measurements) and the tailoring is perfect. The quality of the material was as expected. The communication through WhatsApp was faultless. From our first communication to my clothes arriving by DHL was a matter of weeks.
I highly recommend them if you have a particular style of clothing to be tailored.

Unfortunately my experience doesn’t echo the same positive outcomes as others have had. Last year after researching I booked to come in September to have my wedding dress made. I had inspiration photos for a simple slip style gown. Chose the best white silk and felt rather rushed as they were more focused on getting me to purchase additional garments. ( I did end up getting a total of 3 dresses made for other occasions, 1 of which I actually ended up wearing). I arrived to my first fitting the following day to see an interesting design nothing like the inspiration photos. I asked them to fix it and they recycled the same fabric but unfortunately didn’t cut it bias. So the finally result was incredibly unflattering. It cost $1000USD, which isn’t too much for a wedding gown. But it sure is expensive for an unwearable dress. I tried to have it fixed when I got home to New Zealand, the tailor here said it’s unmovable since they didn’t even cut on a bias so I ended up buying a new dress. A waste of money and I wish they had of taken the time to understand what I wanted rather than focus on rushing me to choose additional garments. There are far better and more affordable small tailors in Hoi Anne FYI.

At A Dong Silk, we always strive to provide quality craftsmanship and a personalized service. We regret that in your case, we did not fully capture your vision and that you felt rushed during your visit.
We would like to kindly explain that different dress styles require different cutting techniques. Slip-style gowns, in particular, usually need to be cut on the bias to achieve a flattering drape. When changes are made after the initial cut and the same fabric is reused, it can significantly limit how much the style and fit can be adjusted. We understand now that this was not clearly communicated to you, and we sincerely apologize for that.
Please know that we are always willing to adjust or remake garments if a client is not satisfied, and we truly wish we had the opportunity to resolve this fully while you were still in Hoi An. Once a dress is taken overseas, alterations may follow different tailoring methods, which can affect the result.
Your feedback is very important to us and has been shared with our team to help us improve our communication and service, especially for wedding dresses.
Once again, we are very sorry for the disappointment caused and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Well made, good price and service
They made my pants and shirts to my specifications. They all fit me well and are of very good quality for the price. I am from Australia and to get a fitted Tailored suit in Australia would cost triple the price and would take longer to be delivered. This was delivered in less than two weeks even with a major typhoon that hit parts of Asia causing massive interruptions to Asian flight schedules. The service was great. They communicated with me via email and Whatsapp, showing me pictures and providing tracking and receipts for my purchase. This was my second purchase. I purchased a suit a few years ago, but had to change a few measurements. They had all my existing measurements saved, so I only had to adjust the measurements that had changed.

Meticulous tailoring and expert fitting at A D0ng Silk’s main location in the Ancient Town.
During our recent trip to Hoi An, specifically for tailoring and a brief holiday, I can speak from utilising four different tailors in Hoi An on this expedition. However, by far the loveliest experience was with the staff at A D0ng Silk in terms of quality, conversation and expertise combined. Copies of classic pieces I had brought with me were a breeze. I was looking for quality of fit and construction with great fabrics, made within our tight time frames. Admittedly, I wasn’t attempting to stuff the pieces into a back pack and continue travelling, I was investing in classic pieces to last. This is what A D0ng Silk ultimately delivered for both my husband and I. The speed was incredible, but Miss Don was a stickler for fitting and adjusting. I was very focussed on lining and generous seam allowances (3cm) to stay the course and for the garments to hang correctly and seams to be unpuckered. I have a lot of experience with tailoring and custom made garments both in Hong Kong, UK, Malaysia, Australia and Paris - and this excelled on all levels. The array of fabric choice was exceptional too, making identifying a colour or texture very simple. A bonus is the store front is two levels across a mezzanine - (also disable access with a ramp to the upper level) and not cramped with fans and air conditioning. For a discerning customer, this is the place to go. It is not as cheap as say the Fabric Markets, or even some of the establishments you see on Tik Tok with younger influencers who appear simply glad to have two bits of material stitched together, this is about amazing tailoring and a case of you definitely pay for what you get.
In truth, what I paid for twelve pieces of superb tailoring was the equivalent of one pair of pants and a jacket in synthetic fabric with what could be considered (by me) as having shoddy lining and ill fitting cut from Australian labels like Zampatti and Cutten, I can never shop with them after this…. I am now spoiled for life and always knew the difference in garment fit with synthetic fabric substitution for pure wools and silk - as I have witnessed the decline of quality construction and fabric in Australia and the UK over three decades.
On top of that great experience with A D0ng Silk in Hoi An, when we lost a personal bag full of paperwork on the afternoon of our first visit to the store, and were panicking. From across the other side of town, we called Miss Loan (also known as Laura) in case we had left it in Ah D0ng Silk - she knew it had our daughter’s measurements and sketches inside to be used at another tailor of cheaper costs. However, She personally walked the streets within a three block radius to see if we had dropped it on the street and was really concerned. She continued to call us several times to see if the bag had turned up. And the next day at our fitting, greeted us with chilled bottled water and wanted to know we had successfully retrieved our bag from a ‘Grab’ taxi vehicle.
So it really is worth a trip if you want lovely clothing that fits perfectly.

Extremely professional tailors!
I ordered for me and my Mrs. suits online. Very next morning Mrs. Tra contacted us answering few questions that I had and giving few suggestions related to fabric and materials. 3 days later both suits were done! Mrs. Tra sent me few pictures to confirm that everything is OK and package was shipped. 5 days latter we had our suits. Manufacturing was of the highest class, all materials were without a fault and size was spot on. I cannot recommend this Tailor enough! You can order without any worries.

I am someone who buys suits off the shelf, online platforms and have also had tailor made suits. Given the fact that there are no fittings and no measurements taken by a professional, I am super happy with the end product.
