Yamazakura always provides beautiful and unusual Japanese antiques and artefacts AND the best service I’ve experience. They keep you updated with dispatch details and the item I bought - a helmet box - was packed so carefully, surrounded in packing material in a box within a padded box, it was virtually bomb-proof!

I cannot praise them enough and their prices are very reasonable.

My purchase was of a very large and decorative copper statue, and my primary concern was that, despite the excellent packaging I know Yamazakura always provide, the delivery service might throw it around during its delivery, and then dump it on my doorstep like a sack of potatoes, causing damage, which I obviously didn’t want. Steve shared my concerns, and personally delivered the statue to my door - and did a 5+ hours round trip in the process! Of course, this sort of personal service is rarely if ever required, and was an exception, and I was very happy to reimburse Steve for his time and trouble. As for the statue, it is a magnificent item, and a thing of real beauty, which delights us every time we look at it. My two other purchases were a nicely framed print, and an excellent carved wooden Buddha. I have purchased a total of seven items from Yamazakura, and have been impressed and delighted every time! Steve is easy to deal with, courteous, helpful, and a very interesting and knowledgeable man to talk to, and my purchases have added beauty to our home, with unique items not easily found anywhere else.
