Dismayed at usual dismal lack of choice of beer on holiday in Wexford. Asked waitress did they have any craft beer. She didn't know, and,God bless her,went away to ask. Came back with YellowBelly. Sorry, but I thought she was joking. However, a beautiful pint-made my holiday. Pubs/restaurants must promote their local beers, or visitors will miss out.
Just bought 24 cans as a reminder of a wonderful experience.

Between 3 & 4 *, the beer is very nice but it is way too expensive.
The Irish way nowadays seems to be get as much as you possibly can for things & maximise profit whatever. Beer of this quality in the UK is available for 1/2 the price from micro-breweries especially as their overheads are much less than running retail outlets and this I've found on a whole range of products for sale in Ireland online from beer to pet food.
There's also another big rip-off going on under the 'buy Irish' banner which again boosts prices & profit unjustifiably. Yes buy irish buy is a very good idea but don't rip your own off makers/sellers!

Thank you very much for your detailed review. One thing to note also is the higher taxes and excise we have to charge the customer in comparison to the UK.
We strive to make the best value product we can, in fact we have dropped our can price by 75 cent in the last 12 months to try and make it as affordable as possible while still keeping a roof over our heads. The beer selling world is a very competitive marketplace and we strive to find ways every day to bring the price down even further, however we will never compromise on quality, and if that means being a little bit more expensive that some of our competitors we have to take that chance and hope that our quality will still shine through.
