I give this 4 stars only because of how awesome Martaba was. However this place offered such unique experiences and contained some of the favorite things my daughter did during the safari that it's a shame that I gave it four stars.

This camp a bit different than other three we stayed at in the delta region primarily since in Makgadikgadi salt pans. Different environment all together which was nice to experience. More of a bush camp feel from early colonial era. The number of new animal sightings continued. We really enjoyed the opportunity to visit with the bushmen - the Sans people.

I loved the family vibe at this camp which is managed by a team of women. Very unique experience photographing meerkats and really enjoyable cultural experience provided by the Bushmen.

It’s more like glamping when compared with other lodges we stayed in which are more like hotels. What made Camp Kalahari were the people who worked there - very friendly and helpful. The guide was terrific - how he spotted some of the tiny bird life remains a mystery to me 😄 Lovely food too.
