loved the hot water bottle at night. and the coffee in the morning. the staff was incredibly helpful. manager was always around and helpful.
Great accommodations and the best location for easy, quick access to the park
The rooms were beautiful and had a great, peaceful view. The staff was welcoming and at night they put warm bottles in our bed which was great because it can definitely get cold at night. We also loved the morning wake up calls where the staff would bring us coffee, juice, and cookies before our game drives. The common area was a relaxing way of hanging out and grabbing a drink while talking with other people from around the world. The only small critique I had was about the food.
Fantastic, attentive staff & guides. Mohammed takes great care of his guests.
The location of this camp was absolutely beautiful and the staff were great! It was a terrific place to stay to ensure that you are one of the first vehicles into the Ngorongoro Crater.
The views were terrific, staff was excellent and food was worth many stars. It was cooler than we expected but the fleeces we got from the gift shop saved us. And the hot water bottle in the bed at night was a very welcome touch.
Wow. Great first stop on a safari. Paul was our guide, and he does photography, so he gets you on the right side of the light. We saw a caracal hunt and catch. Amazing. Food is delicious. Wildlife plentiful. It was a perfect place to unhook from work and the world, but internet is available.
Absolutely fabulous!!!
Wonderful, I loved it
Special place !
Amazing views into the crater. Beautiful tented accommodation with lovely decor. Quite a long journey to get there though.
We were here for 2 nights and we had the whole camp. It was just what we wanted it to be. Everyone was great. They couldn’t do more to make sure we were enjoying our “camping” experience. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with.
The camp was beautiful, the staff at the leadership.of Lawrence was perfect. The guide Sammy was great. The visit to the Masai village was interesting. Could not have asked for more.
Excellent camp. Be prepared for the wind as you are high on the rim of the crater, flappy canvas at night, but ear plugs are provided. Hot and cold running water was unexpected. Food and service excellent, even with the hot water bottle in your bed at night. Game drive into the crater with a picnic breakfast was amazing. The walking Safari to see the giraffe at the watering hole and to be able to look down into the crater was well worth the effort. Our guide arranged a visit to a local Maasai homestead and that was a truly humbling experience to be invited into a Maasai home and the welcome song and dance was an experience I will remember for ever.
Beautiful accommodations. Friendly staff.
This is the real deal, right out in the heart of the action.
Accommodations were first class and the staff were first class as well. Great people, great food, great scenery, great experience. Highly recommend it. Went with my three kids aged 13,16 and 18 and we all loved it.
WOW!! You walk thru the main entry way and that's all you can say. You're met with expansive views of the Crater and it just takes your breathe away. The whole lodge is decorated with a simple understated elegance. Several sitting areas to choose from inside and out. Comfy large couches by the fire or again outside with that view and the cool crisp crater air. The rooms with all the same details are very comfortable with all the essential you need. Large private decks to stare at the not so distant giraffes on the hill. Beyond the absolutely mind blowing scenery, the staff really shined here. Ben the Manager was so sophisticated, gracious and warmhearted. Made every guest feel truly welcome. All the rest of the crew were equally welcoming (thanks Kassim, Seth, Masawe and Owitu). Kisiska my Maasai friend accompanied me on several walks was just a delight. My guide Ian though, really made my trip to Entamanu memorable. For 3 days we wonder the Crater area. His charm, depth of knowledge and pure love for the animals made my first stop in Africa very special. I got to see all the Big 5 in one day and got to come back for great meals and company at the end of each. They normally say you only need 2 nights at the crater but this place, being completely removed from the other camps is truly different. I could of spent all week there soaking up the views. Do not hesitate to book here. It's the only choice for the Crater Rim!
