The wildlife we saw while in camp, drinking our wine is unforgettable. Our guides and driver always seemed to know where to find wild animals and where they were heading. We received a lesson in animal behavior as well as viewing many animals up close. Everyone one was kind and went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. Food was fresh and delicious.
Sleeping near a lake and falling asleep to hippo honks and surrounded by giraffes is just something you have to try in your life. The staff and guides are so passionate about their jobs that the whole experience really feels like being in a live documentary. Just beautiful and heart warming!
This is a wonderful camp to experience Africa at its best. All of the staff and guides were extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable about the bush and the wildlife.
Above and beyond! Had such a great time with our Guide and Driver (Jimmy / Sudi) and the cocktail hour by the fire was a great way to compare safari-war-stories or get to know the manager. Absolutely amazing to be as deep into nature as you can get and still have great food and a hot shower! Thanks so much for taking care of us on our honeymoon!
Perfect Tent Camp with fantastic food and extremely knowledgeable Guides. Would recommend to anyone considering a trip to the Selous.
We loved the feel and location of this camp, even though we were electricity-compromised. It was very easy meeting new people and having different guides on our game drives gave us unique perspectives on what we were seeing. We expecially loved the boat safaris, which allowed us to get up close with the hippos, crocs and birds. And the sunsets from the boats were spectacular!
In a great setting close to Lake Manze this tented camp was wonderful. Spacious safari tents, comfy bed, great food. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful camp. It was charming and gave off a very authentic safari feel while still providing enough creature comforts to make one feel spoiled.The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. I didn't want to leave!
This is a tented camp run by a brilliant South African couple called Sean and Millie. This camp is definitely on the wild side. Sean gives a full safety brief when you arrive and he does not pull any punches. Lions and elephant regularly walk through the camp. You are escorted from your tent to the main dining area by Maasai warriors. On the first night Sean showed us a Rock Python that had entered the dining area. On the second night he led us to a lioness which was 25 yards from the dining area being observed by the Maasai. On the last night at 03:45 we had a family of elephants cleaning the leaves from the top of the tent with their trunks and rubbing their tusks down the netted windows. They then came back at 06:00 and did the same again. Proper service. The tent is lit by storm lanterns and candles. The shower and toilet is at the back of the tent but open roofed. The only way to get closer to nature is to sleep under the stars. There is no WiFi at this camp and again cameras and phones can be charged at the dining area. A gem of a place to savour life on the wild side. Food is substantial and game drives are done on a morning and afternoon. There is also river safaris available from this camp. Hippo's serenade you to sleep on a night. Our guides Ally and Sandro went the extra mile to ensure we saw all that we could in the time we had with them.
Good all round camp. Baboons even tried to service our bathroom for us!! They had some fun with the loo rolls....Africa’s answer to Andrew puppies!!
This is a very pleasant camp. The tents are very comfortable and the food and service is very good. The place really benefits from being on the lake and there are plenty of animals around and in the place which makes the 'verandah safari' (watching from the tent) very enjoyable but can make for the odd noisy night. The boat safari is a must and a good thing to do on your first afternoon. The walking safari is interesting, close to camp and very safe. The all day trip with 'bush lunch' is also a good thing to do and I'm sure the 'bush breakfast' trips would also be very good although we didn't do one for lack of time. Our guide and driver were very good and didn't stint on any of our trips.

Well what can I say, Sean and Millie were great hosts always there whenever you needed them.everybody is always smiling. The camp is well run and all your needs are met. As the camp is situated on the shores of lake Manze we had Elephants trooping by the camp every morning and night what a privilege. Hippos grunting and the insects in the trees make it a magical setting. All the staff are very obliging and nothing is too much trouble.Our guide Haroon and driver Emmanuel were first class, very knowledgeable guys top marks to you.Nobody wanted to leave and they all had a great time. We loved this camp. The managers had first class attention to detail. Game drives were very good with friendly and knowledgeable guides who went out of their way to give us a great experience. Tents in camp were comfortable with own bathrooms, monkeys jumping on our roof, an elephant walking around the camp and baboons and impala all around. Food good.
