This beautiful lodge was next level. In the edge of the Nile we could hear the hippos in the water below at night! Food, service, lodge-all fabulous. The pool was lovely again with amazing views.

Another lodge I'd rate higher than 5 stars. This is a beautiful, rustic, open air hotel that sits right on the banks of the Nile river. We were surprised to learn it was built in 1994 because its beautiful A- frame design and decor seem timeless for the location. It's like a huge, uber luxurious African tent camp with excellent service and food. We were surprised by the size of our room because it was almost ridiculously spacious. But we loved it and we loved our deck that opened up to a view within a just few yards of the Nile river. Loads of wildlife here! We watched vervet monkeys scampering by our windows and in the evenings, bats would hover by. After dark, the hotel staff requires escorts to and from your room just in case there are hippos nearby. Great experience!!! Stay here if you can!
