Shinde was the second of the three safari camps we visited, and it was outstanding in every way. The facilities were superb, the food and drinks were excellent and plentiful, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. Our guide was outstanding, and the game drives were a dream come true. We enjoyed traditional vehicle drives as well as water-based excursions by motorboat and mokoro, a traditional Okavango dugout canoe. We also had the unforgettable experience of watching lionesses (they came within feet for our vehicle) on the hunt and a leopard stalking its prey.

Shinde lodge was on a beautiful setting. The common areas and rooms were spectacular. Opportunities to go on boat rides was an added bonus. We cannot say enough about the staff. The were over and above spectacular. Besides all that the animal viewing was great.

A very well run establishment. Probably the best of the three camps we stayed in.

We loved the staff & guides were terrific! The camp was at a beautiful location on the delta. The water was right there which made it so convenient for the boat rides. I loved the mokoro ride at sunset, so peaceful & beautiful! Our tent was beautiful & so clean. While in the dining room & the fire pit gathering area, we truly felt we were in a tree house! The staff was so attentive to anything we might need. They were also very talented dancers & singers who truly enjoyed entertaining us! What we didn’t like was waking every morning to the smell of burning garbage. Too bad this couldn’t be done further from the camp. Also, we didn’t feel the food was as good, mostly the meat dishes, as another camp we stayed at.

Beautiful property with wonderful staff. I particularly enjoyed the wide variety of excursions and activities they offered. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful camp that provides a great balance of land and water safari! Being able to boat near hippo's was especially pleasurable.

Everyone was friendly and tried to accommodate our requests. Unfortunately, we heard one of our favorite workers, Charlotte, was fired after we left camp. She was very helpful and always cheerful. Wishing her the best in the future.

The manager, staff, and guides were exceptional. The lodge was beautifully located with gorgeous views from the dining area as well as each sitting area. The rooms were very comfortable and we loved the morning wake up! The food was spectacular. The vegetarian options were creative and delicious.

Beautiful camp with a very friendly and welcoming staff! We definitely saw game at Shinde (zebra, elephant, lion, leopard) but not as much game as some other Botswana camps. That is the only reason I gave four stars instead of five stars.

Our favorite - the staff here were amazing, lovely to be looked after by an all-Botswana crew who made us feel like part of the family for a few special days.

The flexibility with how you spent your day was excellent. This may have been because this was our second camp and I was ready to slow down a bit. Being in a wet area with lots of small islands it seemed the animals didn’t move around that much. That was great because we were able to find the cheetah and cubs along with the lions the day after they were spotted. The food was sensational. We are vegan so went in with some concern. There were a couple of vegan dishes with cheese or dairy (nope.) So we still had to ask question about ingredients but once we reminded them we were all set. The bush lunch was great as was the bush dinner. The location under massive trees was very pretty and so you really fit in with nature. In fact so into nature that a gemet (not dangerous but I had never seen an animal like this before) was hanging around the tree near the nightly dinners hoping for some table scraps. You will see hippo, elephants, crocodiles and maybe giraffe (their favourite trees are not here), hyenas, lots of different kinds of antelope (even an aquatic one), and cats depending on luck. The leopard that had been around had moved on when we were there. But we say sooooo much we really didn’t care. The tents were really nice and very comfortable. Dark woods, white linens, spacious washroom. The housekeepers were spectacular and change the interior of the tent at night with curtains and the bed netting. Really beautiful job. AND you can have laundry done. Wonderful service.

Amazing place--all the staff very friendly and helpful. Our guide, Bonolo was the best!! Food was great and the accommodations were lovely.

All services (i.e. accommodation, room service, laundry, food, drinks, safaries) were first class. Meals around a long table facilitated comunication with other guests. Settings and service were great. Some local music presentations by the staff and a bond fire dinner in the grass land were fantastic. The guide for the safaries was outstanding making extra effort and time to find the rare Leopard and Cheetah.

We absolutely loved Shinde Camp. All of the staff were so friendly, our accommodations were great and we saw amazing game during our stay. There are a variety of activities that are offered at Shinde, which really enhances the experience and allows you to view game from multiple perspectives. Shinde also went out of their way to celebrate our honeymoon with a personal dinner on our deck with champagne which was a really special way to end our stay. Lastly, our guide Sam was a true highlight of our trip. We definitely will be back.
