Beyond useless!!. Keep deleting my genuine 5 star reviews so what's the point? Go and waste someone else's time

Listed my business without permission.

Listed my business without even asking. Unable to get into their thick heads that the review left over 3 years ago has nothing to do with the business but was left by a vindictive ars-hole who had not a clue what he was on about. Yelp will not remove the slanderous comments. When will they remove my listing as I have requested on numerous occassions . Amazing that they can phone me numerous times trying to sell cr-p advertising even after being told that I did not wish to be in their directory. They will hide good reviews and publish any cr-p reviews and then try to sell you advertising to increase business after they have already damaged any credibilty in the present business. All a scam to take your hard earned cash

Yelp Ireland are in Beach of European Laws in relation to human rights regarding privacy but hey they don't care anyway as they are just scammers. How the h-ll did they magage to get 2 starts on trustpilot when everyone wqants to give them either zero or minus stars

We have reported to Yelp the following company Your Local roofer Ltd a fraud, we paid for works guttering,drown pipes,fascias that was not done and we took them to court and the bailliffs reported back to me the business address list on the receipt was closed or there is no company at this address .

Yelp is still advertising the company.Don't use yelp if you are looking for a trusted workman.

okay so from one uk business owner to another, keep well clear of using this site. they filter positive reviews to show only negative.

Run by local cliques to promote the moderators’ pals who ensure that they stay in good favour by providing “hospitality” and services all the while excusing their personal intervention in what reviews are accepted and artificially skewed ratings on “algorithms”. Take every Yelp review with a pinch of salt - behind 5 stars may well lurk a review bought and paid for by inducements.

they have someone else photo on my profile which they have refused to take down after years of me mentioning it to them, basically they allow other people to pretend to be you, if this is not facilitating identity fraud, then i don't know what is, the police should take action against them, they are breaking GDPR rules too

I was contacted by this company sales team after giving them my details 4 months ago, then i was contacted totally out of the blue, the experience was so bad I actually thought that i was speaking to a scam artist. He wanted too much information about my business that I didn't feel comfortable giving out, he also asked me to click a link in a text message and I refused, then a while later sent another link and asked again for me to click on it.
Alarm bells are now ringing!!!

After being interagated for 10 min I then said I wanted to ask a question but he keeped interrupting me, I had to keep repeating myself, after that he said he wanted to make an appointment for me to see a sales person in my area even though I said I wasn't ready to start business just yet. I told him I'm too busy this week and would call them if I needed anything, he wouldn't give up and keeped saying look at your diary and tell me what day , he even had the audacity to try and make a booking for the next day even when I said no.

After this very intrusive , rude phone call I tried to contact them to see who the hell had called me but the number is always busy, it seems like they don't want you to call or contact them for help or advice, they only contact you to sell and only respond to sales application forms. .I'm guessing this is very bad company and wouldn't trust them in the slightest.

Scam company, should be shut down. They set up my freelance design offering as a business listing, with my personal data and artwork showing to all. They’ve refused to remove the listing, even after I mentioned GDPR, saying removing the listing is stopping freedom of information, what???? The only way to control a listing is to buy it off them.

Heard many unhappy feedbacks about yelp, they leave bad reviews on the web and don't publish good , my friend has got 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟reviews from his real clients, however they took them out and marked as untrusted. He searched support contacts but there is some phone number with no code and Wikipedia suggests call in America.
Basically no support , no trust to that website.

I received a review full of lies which was no less than slander and after contacting Yelp offering proof that this persons accusations were pure fabrication they decided to leave a bunch of lies on their site. Any reviews that clients have left me have been filtered out.I even had a client come to my office for his weekly meeting, check in at my location and leave a review and guess what? They filtered that as well! Yelp must be on a crusade to destroy small businesses across the land. Their customer service is diabolical, the "expensive review algorithm" fails time and time again and when you offer to provide proof that they are hosting a review full of lies from someone writing verbal abuse and garbage they ignore you.
Yelp are probably so big they don't care about any of this despite thousands of these negative reviews. In my opinion Yelp is a shocking company and they needs to consequences for its actions!

Yelp is a truly appalling organisation. An anonymous individual can write the most obscene, dishonest and defamatory review on Yelp, and Yelp will publish it with not a shred of evidence of the truth of the defamatory allegations. My experience is that even when Yelp is confronted with overwhelming proof that a review is dishonest and defamatory, they arrogantly and pompously refuse to remove it.

Deleted my 5 star review. Bad practice Yelp!

They are a good review company and they provide a service for people who prefer to use the alternative.

Shambolic Farce of a rating platform. Delete all genuine 5-star reviews and allow the 1-star, making excellent companies appear sub-standard. Joke ting

Yelp is a very unreliable platform. Their review system is well and truly flawed. Positive reviews are filtered into a “Not Recommended” section.

If the company has any negative reviews, these are always shown. Giving a low score star rating of the company. This is a totally biased view of companies listed on yelp.

I definitely would NOT RECOMMEND using yelp to get a balanced view of any company on there.

If you want to do a poor review on a company don't use YELP, they only put on 5 star reviews and remove all the others.
I placed a honest review on YELP about a kitchen company and gave them a 1 star rating , the company contacted YELP and had the review removed.
SO basically if you are a company owner your sorted only 5 star ratings , if you are a client putting on a 1 star review you are stuffed.
Not worth the trouble of writing it as they will just take it down.
Shame on you YELP for a worse than poor review site.

I didn't realise this practise went on. I put a positive review online for a retailer in response to YELP carrying single negative review for the business. My review did not appear and as I later found neither did the other 20 or so positive reviews for the same retailer.

The business I refer to has a negative one star rating when you check YELP but the real score should be a 4.3 rating from what I can see from the blocked reviews. The YELP ratings are in my opinion worthless.

Garbage. Nobody to contact with no customer service. They work as not independent review site but as support site for only those companies paying them to advertise.

i know a restaurant that had all good reviews and as I went to post a review I noticed all reviews gone (only 2 negative reviews) with over 25 good reviews over 3 years. Also my review was filtered and not shown. I have been on Yelp for over 5 years with over 40 reviews and many confirmed yelp friends as a reputable poster.

The restaurant told me they had stopped paying online advertising with yelp and this is when problem started..almost like blackmail.

i have left yelp and use other more reliable review sites. Yelp sucks and is a biased scam.
