Very disappointing experience with Yesim. I tried to purchase a plan, but the payment system kept showing card/country errors. There was no clear explanation, and I couldn't get a useful solution. I wasted a lot of time trying to complete a simple purchase. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service and would suggest looking at other options before buying a plan.

Good service, responsive support, excellent coverage, and affordable pricing.

Took me a while to figure our how to turn on the e-sim after landing in Jordan, but the internet was reliable. The only spot I had no connecting was at the Petra Treasury (which is to be expected in between huge rock formations).

I purchased an eSIM for my trip to Turkey. Unfortunately, nowhere during the booking process was it clearly stated that the connection speed was limited to only 5 Mbps. For my needs, this made the eSIM almost unusable.
I would recommend being much more transparent about speed restrictions before purchase so that customers can make an informed decision and avoid unpleasant surprises. Next time, I will likely choose a different provider.
Thank you.
Edith: Got refunded. At least thats working. Otherwise not a pleasant experience. +1 Star

We had a terrible experience in Thailand. Trains wouldn’t work, the technical team were useless too! I fact, one of them started to get angry as it couldn’t be solved.
We’ve just had a £200 bill for our phones!
Advice would be get an eSIM over there, they’ll sort it for you no hassle. Lesson learnt!

I travel quite a lot and over the years I’ve honestly had mixed experiences with eSIMs. Some were unreliable, some had terrible speeds, and some ended up being way more expensive than expected. I used Airalo quite a bit before, but lately I felt like prices kept going up while the experience stayed pretty average.
A few months ago I started using Yesim and it’s probably been the best experience I’ve had with an eSIM so far.
I’ve used it across Asia, Latin America, and Australia and it worked surprisingly well everywhere ( easy activation, stable connection, decent speeds, and I didn’t have to waste time hunting for local SIM cards after landing).
What I liked most was that it just… worked. No random disconnects, no weird setup issues, no stress when moving between countries.
Also found a discount code online that still works apparently: DISC15 for 15% off.

We signed up for Yesim for our trip to the states cost around £35 for 30 days and it never worked for us so total waste of money.

Not the cheapest, but clearly reliable eSIM service. Installation and guidance are easy.

Horrible. Number didn't work. Bought it to register in an app. Didn't received the SMS as promised.

Bought the "unlimited" daily plan for Malta at 4€/day. After less than half a day of normal use, my speed was throttled to 0.17 Mbps download and 0.29 Mbps upload - measured on Speedtest, on Epic network. At that speed nothing works: no maps, no messaging, not even loading a basic webpage.
This directly contradicts Yesim's own published Unlimited Data Plans policy, which states that after throttling "basic tasks like messaging or navigation should still work fine." At 0.17 Mbps they don't. The same policy also passes responsibility to "partner providers" - but the contract is with Yesim, the marketing says "unlimited", and the customer has no visibility into which partner network they're on or what its FUP looks like.
When I raised it with support, the response was that yes, the plan is "unlimited", but there's a clause somewhere stating they can throttle the speed. The actual FUP threshold - how many GB before throttling, what speed it drops to, for how long - is nowhere disclosed at the point of purchase. Not in the plan description, not in the pricing, not on the product page, not even in the dedicated FUP policy article. You only find out after you've already been throttled and you ask why.
After I pushed back, the speed was quietly raised to 2.85 / 3.18 Mbps - still slow for a 4€/day plan, but functional. No explanation, no concrete numbers on the FUP, no answer to where any of this is disclosed beforehand. Just "here, have some speed back, please go away."
That's the part that bothers me. The fix for one complaining customer isn't a fix for the product. Selling a plan as "unlimited" while applying an undisclosed FUP, contradicting your own documentation about what throttled means in practice, and only loosening it when someone makes noise, is not fair dealing - it's misleading the customers who don't push back.
If there's a FUP, disclose it. Threshold in GB, throttled speed in Mbps, duration. Put it next to the price. That's all it takes to make this honest. Until then, the "unlimited" label is just marketing.
Not recommended.
Update: Yesim management responded with a refund offer + Ycoins bonus, conditional on me removing this Trustpilot review. Direct quote: "To proceed, we kindly ask you to update or remove your Trustpilot review." Their message also explicitly confirmed that "Fair Usage policies are not always publicly disclosed and may be applied dynamically" - the exact deceptive practice this review describes. I declined the offer. Review stands. Filed a chargeback through my bank instead.
Update after Yesim's reply:
Two points:
1. You say carrier policies are "always available, described clearly in several places." Your own management wrote to me, in writing: "Fair Usage policies are not always publicly disclosed and may be applied dynamically." I have the screenshot. These two statements contradict each other - one of them is false.
2. You still haven't disclosed the one thing I actually asked for: the FUP threshold in GB, the throttled speed, and the duration. "Available in several places" - then quote it here. A number. Anything. You can't, because it isn't disclosed.
This reply also ignores that your management conditioned a refund on removing this review. That quote is in my update. Declining to address it doesn't make it go away.

I bought an eSIM (Ticket #95765169), but the service didn't work. Support acknowledged the issue but refused to refund my USDT, offering only "store credit" (Ycoins) instead. This violates their own Refund Policy. It's been over 20 hours of silence after my official demand. Be careful with this service if you pay with crypto — you won't see your money back if something goes wrong.

I used Yesim based on positive reviews I'd seen here and some other platforms. I was a bit apprehensive, as I hadn't used an app like this before or e-sim for a limited amount of time. I was traveling from Belgium to the U.S., and didn't want to use my Belgium/Europe mobile plan internationally. I also had a U.S. mobile plan, but it was limited, and I didn't want to rack up potentially unexpected charges. Yesim was super easy to use with clear and simple instructions. Connection was steady and strong throughout my trip, which lasted about a week. I was surprised at how well it ended working. Definitely recommend them.

Easy to purchase, easy to install, easy to use and - most important - usable quick and everywhere.
Using yesim for my travels abroad (Switzerland, Carribeans) for about a year now and will stick to them :-).
Great customer service, very helpful and fast.

Both my husband and I bought unlimited internet for €$30 for 15 days as we needed it while travelling for our honeymoon to the US. The service (if I may even call it that) provided is more than terrible ! Both of us had problems using internet, and more often we were unable to use the service at all. As we’ve read so many positive reviews we thought it was gonna be an easy travel, at least in terms of being able to access internet at any time. Little did we know that was gonna be the worst part of the two weeks travel and the two weeks we payed the service for. If you wish to be able to use internet without stressing out I highly recommend not to use yesim ! Such a horrible experience

I temporarily need unlimited internet in Belgium. So far, I've tested the cheapest 500 MB option. The internet is stable, with good download and upload speeds. To watch Polish TV, I'll also need to install VPM. I recommend it.

App works absolutely fine. Have used the Pay&Fly package, which is very flexible. No need to buy fixed data packages per country. You can spend your credit in 173 countries. Great customer support.

I used Yesim for about two years. I bought a virtual number for the internet on my business trips and to receive sms form different services. It has worked well until today. I didn't receive sms as intended and tried to check it with different numbers and services. Nothing works, sms just didn't show up in the application, tried different numbers. I tried even Twilio (I'm an IT developer), and it showed that sms is delivered. But there is no sms in the app. Support knows nothing, no real help. So if you're looking for a number to receive sms - looks elsewhere, save money and time.
