The whole process was excellent. The initial survey was spot on. The price was sensible. The installation team were extremely efficient and tidy and did the whole job within a few hours. They left no mess at all. I would definitely recommend them.

They completely transformed my loft and installed the hatch.

Loft ladder, light & switch plus 50 sq. foot of flooring from £277 +vat. Don’t be taken in, I only required a loft ladder, no light & switch & no boarding & I was quoted £662. Well no thank you.

Had our loft boarded several years ago along with loft ladder installed which we were delighted with. A few days ago had a problem getting the ladder down and rang the company who arranged for someone to call. A young man arrived, replaced the ladder and removed a couple of boards as there was a leak underneath (not caused by this company). He was so helpful and we were very grateful with his attutude.

Very satisfied all done quickly and expertly and in a very friendly way. I needed a loft ladder fitting for my daughter to utilise the loft space and am pleased I used these guys. I’d already boarded most of the loft and because they couldn’t find the electric connection underneath it they fitted a battery light instead and reduced the quote. The light works just as well and they gave me a second spare light and lots of batteries. They had to extend the hatch and also fit a new cover which looks better than the old one too so win, win. All in took about 2-3 hours, no mess and daughter (and granddaughter!) very pleased with the result. Good quality easy to use and lightweight ladder which is now far easier and safer than the step ladders previously used.

They came to do a quote which after there great advertising of loft ladder light and 50 sq feet of boarding I was expecting a good quote, well I was so far off the mark. They quoted me for the space which they said was 500sq ft (it isnt) and it was over 10 times that price. So I presume they were giving me 10 loft ladders as well. They then gave me a cheaper quote for a battery operated light and less boarding still charging £1000 for 100sq ft of boarding. I would seriously speak to other companies same job better priced and don't try and draw you in with a lower price which they never give to any customer.

Can’t comment on the standard of work but can comment on the ghost charge of “no ladder charge” of £100? So it seems that if you already have a ladder and light and just want 50sq ft of boarding they add the extra charge. Be weary of paying surcharge for not having a ladder fitted

After a little miscommunication between the chap that did the quotation and the fitters, things got underway and completed within the time slot that we were given. Everything done professionally and exactly as we asked. Loft insulation, boarded and loft ladder fitted. Just great to have all that extra storage space. Would definitely reccomend this company.

We had a new larger loft hatch fitted yesterday, courteous fitter who removed the old hatch and extended the length before fitting the new hatch, all done professionally with very little mess. We had sheeted the floor prior to his arrival but didn't need to as they brought their own and cleaned up taking all the rubbish away with them! Had a loft ladder fitted by Jan today. Really pleased with the whole experience. Jan planned the job explaining everything he was doing throughout the job. As well as making an excellent professional job Jan also cleaned up after himself too. I will be recommending Yorkshire Loft Ladders to my family and friends.
