It was a very insightful and wonderful experience to meet women my age in one place. I felt very united. The talks led by women of different organisations taught me things I never thought about before... See more

The organizers were nice and welcoming. Also the panels on the program helped me realize that studying for a specific degree is not the be all and end all of ones career.
I attended a Goldman Sachs in person event on Monday (9th Feb) which I signed up for through YP. It was very well organised and thought out in order to be extremely insightful for all attendees. It al... See more

I’ve been to 2 YP events and 2 seminars. All of them have been insightful and useful into the world of work i want to go into. YP themselves are very driven into supporting young people: they have even offered roles to support those on a gap year from university.
Great experience and wonderfully…
Great experience and wonderfully co-ordinated. I am really grateful to had the chance to participate in such an event .
Lloyds Banking Group Skillsfest Bristol
Coming from London all the way to Bristol, I explored financial crime investigation and the dangers of identity and financial fraud, used AI to create mock websites highlighting how vulnerable customers can be exploited, helped me develop key financial detective skills.
I also worked in multiple groups, strengthening my confidence, teamwork, and communication skills, while learning about Lloyds apprenticeship schemes and career pathways at the end, with the chance to speak to a level 7 graduate and 2 level 4 apprentices.
A really valuable experience that deepened my understanding of banking, customer protection, and future opportunities in the industry.
Thank you to Lloyds Banking Group and Young Professionals for hosting this event.
I went to Lloyds SkillFest activity
I went to Lloyds SkillFest activity through Young Professions. In that session we learnt about apprenticeship and opportunities Lloyds bank can provide to us. They also explained to us what kind of daily work they perform. I really enjoyed the activity centre and it was fun.

Results are earned not gifted
Quite insightful. Gave me tips on the importance of a personal brand and made me ponder on the type of person I want to be and be perceived as. A reminder to also stay tapped in on many apprentices who have gone ahead and receive their advice gladly. Very realistic
I found the experience very educational
I found the experience very educational, though I had hoped to learn about more areas of the business, including jobs like accounts, instead of focusing on just one department.
Incredibly insightful and informative

went to multiple events
went to multiple events, and was able to network with multiple students and employers. this allowed me to explore whether i wanted to do accounting & finance, mathematics, or computer science. Had an amazing time with all of the events.
Waste of time! AVOID
Spent £20 travelling on the train to this event for mismanaged chaos. Hundreds of people crammed into 8 small rooms in the Lowry hotel Manchester for the majority of businesses to be minimalistic and boring. More time was spent talking about setting up young professionals than the companies themselves. The guest speakers and panel experts seemed clueless and quite frankly pathetic. We were given barely any time to network with the companies not that they were particularly useful and having to applaud absolutely everyone, bearing in mind people were simply introducing their names and company. Confusing. I wasn't the only person who felt like this either, its a real shame because the idea of getting young people into work is great. Poorly executed event.
misadvertising and manipulation of young people
School recommended the event as would be good for career path (law) and suggested should sign up for the event, despite being across the country (spent over £150 on travel). A general notice was provided that cancellations must give over a week of notice and failing to do so would result in being blacklisted by the company Event was suggested as being general for law, providing networking, workshops and speeches. The agenda was only released the day before the event, with the events being almost entirely about or relating to solicitor apprenticeships. The talks primarily focused on these, and the representatives of the firms were early careers advisors and so could only discuss apprenticeships and nothing wider, the whole event seemed catered to trying to convince people not to go to university
Ridiculously Unprofessional!!
I was appalled by the CEO's response after my child was injured, resulting in missing the conference. His tone was rude and unprofessional, showing no concern for my child's well-being. His lack of integrity is evident in the way he makes accusations without enquiry and shows complete disregard or offers an apology for delayed correspondence. I will not permit my child or any other of the young people I work with to participate in any of these events in the future.
Unprofessional and unorganised
Unprofessional and unorganised set up ran by an inexperienced CEO who really doesn’t care about the social mobility students whom he ‘pretends’ to help.
