Ongoing difficulties, especially for disabled people.

Staff do not know about packages offered and give wrong information. It is then difficult to rectify mistakes. There is often no-one answering phone calls: it is time-consuming having to try many times or email to try to correct things.
It is particularly difficult for disabled people needing a carer with them - the system does not allow for this (or if it does, staff do not know about it). Disabled people should be able to access facilities they have paid for.
Staff need more training.
Although we are asked to give a particular date of the experience, I have found that problems are ongoing.

Website great in 1996: baffling and broken in 2024

This review is about the Your Leisure website and booking process. I wanted to book a swim session today for Ramsgate leisure centre (Sunday). To do this I had to use the very badly designed and semi functioning website at yourleisure DOT uk DOT com.

Gripes (and these aren't merely Karen gripes, they are actual, functional failings).

-I select a location, get sent to another page where I need to again select the location from a drop down. Come on guys, its not 1996.

-I select the centre, select the date and the time from drop downs /calendar. I chose 2pm today, open swim - which I know is the time for this. I get a spinning wheel for 30 seconds and a number of options are returned. I don't know how half a dozen options for today took so long.

-I select the time slot and hit 'book'. Nothing happens. Nothing happens on a Windows PC, iPad, Android phone - I tried 3 times thinking it was me. It wasn't.

-I call the customer helpline. I can't call the centre directly because its a secret I guess. I call a generic number, it rings out and goes to voicemail.

-I get a callback 15 minutes later. The Your Leisure staff member was very nice and explained to me there are perhaps some IT issues and that other people have mentioned this - but tech support can't look at this till Monday. The staff member helpfully offers to book this for me. Not sure how they are doing this - I guess by calling the secret number they have for the leisure centre we're not supposed to have. They aint doing it by website thats for sure.

I'm writing this up as its the third time its happened over the last two years. My kids are occasional users of the pool but both other times I've had the same grief from Your Leisure's website. The whole thing needs a re-work. Much, much harder than it needs to be!
