This was my first experience with a mobile mechanic…. And it was an excellent experience!! He was on time, pleasant and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed my issue and did not try to get me to buy somet... See more

Bait-and-switch decadent sales technique
This review is similar to another review I have just read:
It is a bait-and-switch type of technique. First, they gave me a good quote, and of course, I saw it was a good deal.
Next, they confirmed the appointment and sent me text reminders to my phone as the appt approaches. The day came, I waited the entire 2 hours when the tech was supposed to arrive. I had to call them since no one called or showed up. I called Wrench/YourMechanic (855) 347-2779, and they said they didn't show up because there was a new estimate approval I had to agree to before they could proceed with the repair that would then happen the next day. The quoted price of $340 would now jump to $570 due to an adjustment in the number of hours that the job would take. They said that requests for service over the Internet were inaccurate, and they had to manually adjust it. By this time, I had not received any notice of this change on text or email. Big waste of time. They are releasing the money held back to the card used. Not a good way to do business. Looks like they are banking on the short time the customer will have left to do the repairs after they effectively created the situation. It is a technique based on having the customer pressed by time where the customer either bails out and request a cancellation and refund, or acepts the newly jacked-up price. Again, very bad way to do business, which eventually will bite them back and force them to stop their operation.
This companies contractor are untrained…
This companies contractor are untrained for vehicles like Mercedes, I had very bad experience, four time my appointment has been booked with various reasons and two contractors are changed, first was Atalia and second was christofer. Very unprofessional approach. Asked to change the PCV vent valve and Christopher gave feedback that part was not correct, however part number is per the Mercedes part number, so guys if you called for specially Mercedes Benz vehicle, do not take service for this company. Atalia two times cancelled the appointment and wasted my four days.Since I was travelling from Ohio to NJ and incident happen in the NJ, I tried to take the service but I never recommend anybody for this company. Christofer only stayed for 10 minutes and I was charged for full one hour for 159 dollars for no reason.
I went on the Wrench website on Sunday…
I went on the Wrench website on Sunday 3/8/2026 afternoon, to schedule service the following day, which would’ve been Monday, 03/09/2026. The service was confirmed for Monday and the mechanic, Mickey, was scheduled to arrive at my residence anytime between 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM.
At 9:17 AM, after I hadn’t received any type of correspondence letting me know that the mechanic, Mickey, was on his way, etc., I called Wrench to check the status of my service/and the mechanics ETA. I was on hold for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Once a representative was on the line, I let them know that I was calling to get an update to see what time the scheduled mechanic, Mickey, would be arriving at my residence because I wanted my car fixed today.
By this time I had read all the terrible reviews, but after scheduling this service, so I was on high alert/ expecting a cancellations or the mechanic not to show up.
The representative tried to contact the mechanic, Mickey, to no avail but said he would keep trying and then give me a call back. The call-back never happened.
At 10:00 AM I called Wrench again to check the status on when the mechanic, Mickey, would be arriving to my residence. I was informed that the mechanic, Mickey, would be at my residence at approximately 10:35 AM.
At 10:27 AM, I received a text message informing me:
“ Heads up! Mickey, your Wrench Alternator Replacement expert is on the way for your appointment between 7:30AM and 9:30 AM. Get ready for hassle-free vehicle service!”
There was a phone number provided for the mechanic, Mickey, so I called the mechanic, to get a more accurate eta. The mechanic, Mickey, said he would be at my residence in approximately 20 minutes later, which would’ve put him at my residence around 11:00 AM. The mechanic, Mickey, said he was running late because he had to be home to sign for a package. He also claims he sent me a text message letting me know he would be running late. But, I never received a message.
At around 11:04 AM I received a call from a Wrench representative letting me know that the service I purchased would require additional work. The representative stated that the AC would have to be removed and recharged when replacing the alternator. I asked, “what exactly does that mean.” The representative said that my quote would increase because the labor would now be a total of 4 hours, instead of the quoted 3 hours.
At this point I was done fooling around with Wrench, and I didn’t want to risk losing my money with a company that had already exhibited so many “red flags.”
I opted to use Afterpay (pay in 4), for the service, so the initial payment had already been pulled from my bank, and if I wanted to cancel the service prior to 48 hours, I would have to pay $150. So I needed “Wrench” to either honor the service quote I agreed to, or to cancel the service on their end. I let the representative know that I would not be able to pay any additional money, and I didn’t want any type of fees or anything due to the cancellation because it had nothing to do with anything on my part. It was on them.
The service was canceled. My money was refunded and Afterpay is showing 0 owed. Soooo everything ended well for me.
I would not use this company ever again and I’m glad I was able to get out of this service agreement unscathed.
Oh, I never received a message, nor did the mechanic, Mickey, ever arrive.
Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company, ever since they merged with wrench they have been scamming customers, I locked in with them for $161 they waited till a couple hours before my appointment to tell me that they made a mistake and the new price has changed to $450 , as a legit company you would think they would honor the price they advertised online ? Instead they tell me I either pay or cancel my appointment. I requested to speak to a supervisor and he was rude. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days when they took my money within a second. Don’t fall for their fake advertisement this company is crooked.
Terrible
Terrible. Gave me a quote, then 3 days later sent a mechanic who had no idea what the job entailed, told me he didn't have the tools to do it, suggested I take it to a shop, then charged me $150 "callout fee" and left. Absolutely worthless. Don't hire these people.
A scam after purchase you setup an…
A scam after purchase you setup an account you put vechicle information in and set up a virtual vechicle inspection. There after the virtual inspection your account is supposed to be activated 24-48 hours later once account is processed. Tottaly not the case it’s one person the same person answering the phone you will speak with no one else and you’ll be told that it actually states that all accounts will not be accessible until 60 days later
WHAT. I’m telling you it’s a scam I’ve filed a complaint with the better buisness bureau and will be filing a small claims civil suit do not make the same mistake as me
I scheduled them to come out twice and…
I scheduled them to come out twice and the problem was not diagnosed correctly or fixed. When I asked for them to help and get it corrected, I was told I would have to pay for all the services again. DON'T USE, TOTAL SCAM. YOUR VEHICLE WILL NOT GET REPAIRED ONLY SUGGESTIONS!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
Disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience. I scheduled a diagnostic appointment for my vehicle and the mechanic cancelled without proper communication. When I asked about getting an actual diagnostic test performed (cooling system pressure test / combustion gas test), I was told a ‘basic diagnostic’ was only a visual inspection and general advice.
Paying for a ‘diagnostic’ that’s essentially just looking at the car and guessing is not what most customers expect. The communication was unprofessional and the interaction felt dismissive/rude. I would not recommend if you’re looking for real diagnostics or services that are beyond basic knowledge like oil changes or brakes”
I would AVOID this company if I were you! They are a total total fraud and grift company.
On 12/3 'Wrench Inc' sent a highly unqualified mechanic (Cesar) to change an alternator on my 2008 Toyota Avalon. After disassembling some parts on the vehicle the mechanic abandoned the job. After a full day of dealing with 'Wrench' on the phone (several different people), 'Wrench' sent the same mechanic back out to complete the job on 12/4 . The mechanic reassembled most (not all) of the vehicle parts and again abandoned the job without changing the alternator which was the primary reason for the service. I had to contact a real mobile mechanic (Dan) to complete the alternator job and finish assembly of the parts that 'Wrench' left undone. Complete serice took Dan about 1.75 hours (kudos to Dan). 'Wrench' than charged my CC for $224.24 for services not provided which are now in dispute. Use 'Wrench Inc' mobile mechanic service at your own risk, IF I WERE YOU, I WOULDN'T!
Poor Workmanship and Refusal to Take Responsibility
I’ve been a long-time customer of Wrench.com and have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years, but this experience has completely changed my view of the company.
In April 2025, a Wrench.com mechanic named Kevin replaced my rear brakes. He was the last person to remove and reinstall my rear wheel. Recently, I ended up with a flat tire and discovered that one of the lug nuts had been cross-threaded, making the wheel impossible to remove. This is not normal wear and tear — it is the result of improper installation.
Despite this:
Wrench.com charged me $150 to send another mechanic out for a “warranty check”
They confirmed the issue
Then they refused to cover the cost of removing the damaged lug nut
And refused to refund the $150, even though the issue traces directly back to their prior service
Wrench.com was the last company to touch the wheel, yet they are refusing to take responsibility for the damage caused by their mechanic’s work. As a result, I’m left with a flat tire I can’t remove and out additional money for their mistake.
This situation shows a serious lack of accountability and customer care. Loyal customers shouldn’t have to fight to have obvious workmanship issues corrected.
I would strongly caution anyone considering Wrench.com to think twice, especially if something goes wrong — because based on my experience, they may not stand behind their work.
Precharged me $224 for an oil change
Precharged me $224 for an oil change. Mechanic showed up and asked if I had the supplies. What?! I was never told that I’d need to pay over 100% more for an oil change AND furnish the needed supplies/tools. Mechanic said he was going to call the company and ask if he could buy the supplies. He drove off and never returned my text. I was willing to go to the auto store to get the supplies just to get it done. It’s 1 mile from my home.
Tried to reach customer service by phone and email. Was never called back. Took 13 days for them to cancel my appointment and refund my money. Had to go through my bank to do it. Complete scam.
No-show after waiting for over an hour
Scheduled service for today, they already pre-authorized my card, after waiting for an hour and 15 minutes I received a text that they need to reschedule for Monday. I tried to call but cannot reach anyone...
I paid Wrench for a PCV/oil separator…
I paid Wrench for a PCV/oil separator repair on my Audi Q7, and immediately afterward my car developed major issues I NEVER had before, a check engine light and a low oil warning.
When the technician came back for the follow-up, he refused to let me speak, instantly claimed the issue “wasn’t related,” and then cleared both the check engine light and the low oil warning without my permission while I stepped inside for a moment. That was shocking, unprofessional, and felt very deceitful.
He then tried to claim the code “had been there before,” which is completely untrue. I had my vehicle independently scanned, and the issue clearly started after the PCV repair.
I was told the tech was Audi-certified, but his behavior and lack of transparency said otherwise. Clearing warnings without permission — especially an oil warning — is unsafe and unacceptable.
Wrench needs to address this situation immediately. Very disappointed and concerned.
TERRIBLE company
terrible, did not solve anything, car had the same problem after ONE day, called them and they HUNG UP on me when i told them i was stranded, 4 days gone by they still did not call me back
Terrible
Terrible. No show and didn't tell me they'd no show. Got stuck on a call with their call center in Philippines who said they could get me in the next day. I asked to speak to a manager, and then was told it'd take 24-48 hours for a manager to call back. Don't use.
Guess that Part
Had first mechanic (Supposedly ASE Certified) look at the car, was certain about issue and sent ticket back for idler pulley to be installed, and charged me again. Then when the new mechanic came and changed recommended part, same issue still occuring; This time told alternator was issue and the charge is $690 ( with $400 charge for $100 part from Advanced/Autozone) and $290 charge for labor hours.
I would give a zero if I could
I would give a zero if I could. Today they took out money out of my account for a job that was done 4 1/2 months ago. When they are saying they replaced my starter when in fact the mechanic said my old one is good so he just put the old one back in. Why did it take them 4 1/2 months to take my money for a job they never did. The guy on the other end would not transfer me to a manger when asked. So I got charged for a job there mechanic lied about doing. Then still after that I had them come look at my car 2 months later and they could not find anything wrong with it when it would not start. They don’t know what they are doing please don’t use them reporting them to the BBB.

I've used this company before with no problems. But, today's appointment for a simple service on my Volvo was horrible. The appt was for 2:30-4:30p. I received 3 phone calls changing the appt time...from 2:30 changed to 6pm, then the mechanic shows up c. 3-3:30. Then the guy had to leave and go buy oil. Then the original quote of $160 ended up being c. $213. I was shocked and angry. The company lures innocent customers (like me), with a quote that ends up being much more. It's not the mechanic's fault, but this company is not trustworthy. Based on today's completely miserable experience, I will definitely NOT use this company again, and I would never recommend them. Completely unprofessional with absolutely no customer service.
Rescheduled 3 Times
Rescheduled 3 Times , Then My Diagnostic Was “Maybe It’s The Battery” , No Test Or Real Diagnosis. A Scam To Keep Getting More Money For Subpar Service.
