Update on our experience

This is an update after visiting Your vets some weeks ago. They told us our cat had to be put down if we could not afford the £4000 pound to have his blood analysed as they thought he possibly had an autoimmune disease. His left rear leg was swollen and he was limping quite badly.
We then took him to another vet, and this is what he advised, he said if it is an autoimmune disease the chances are that it could not be cured, he also said that it could be Arthritis, which is something humans get in older years and we just have to put up with it. He also said that if it was his cat he would not put the cat through an ordeal of having bloods taken and he would not waste his money for something that couldn’t be cured. He recommended we continue with his medication and see how he gets on. Our cat is still with us, he is very lively, 6 ft fences are no barrier to him, has a good appetite he is not limping anymore. If left to Your Vets he wouldn’t be with us now, so if you have any sense MOVE TO ANOTHER VETS.

Avoid

Call them selves vets ! Disgusting money grabbing and exploitation I would say without a shred of a doubt
Firstly I lost a cavalier King Charles puppy with the brain condition where bad breeding causes their brain to grow too large for their tiny skulks & causing crippling pain & leaking of spinal fluid .
£3000 pounds the partial MRI cost that was several years ago too so goodness knows what they would charge now !!
Then my other cavalier started becoming a little lame on his legs & I immediately rushed him to vets only for him to be seen by this callous hard hearted women vet who tried to tell me he had developed the same crippling condition as my little puppy
Wanted to put him down at 5 yrs old ..
Had I not went and asked for a second opinion he would of been put down that day by her ,
This wonderful vet was adamant it was nothing of the sort & with a short course of pain relief he was bounding about & back to his normal self..
Then my little yorkie/Jack developed what they said was a bit of a cough & sore throat so they gave me some medicine & instead of a small syringe I was given one that would of done a Great Dane hence my little dog was poisoned & being sick ..
When I rang to say she was projectile vomited on this medicine I was told not worry especially as she had been sick it would now be out her system ..
Long story short she was still very poorly and lethargic & still being very sick I immediately rushed her back to vets in tears .. I was frantic ..
They had left my poor dog 2 whole days in this state trying to convince me as she was being sick it had left her body . I mean because of them she had been over dosed !!

Anyway she was immediately rushed to their emergency vets in Coventry by their vet ambulance and spent several days on a drip but with the time they had been convincing me that she was going to be okay as she was vomiting it out of her system the damage to her organs had been done ..
And to add insult to injury they produced me with a vet bill for £700 .. their deadly mistake & my pockets emptied !!
I spoke to a lovely vet at willows about what had happened & he said putting in a too large syringe that’s meant for larger dogs so obviously getting a larger dose with the measurements instead of a much smaller one was a very common problem he was seeing too much of for his liking ..
I will have to end here as I am in tears .. omg the last thing I will say is they push things on you to build your bill up even without consulting you .. you only find out when you go to pay & now it i £60 for an annual vaccine booster.,at least dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask !!! It all about making as much money as possible!!

Avoid Avoid avoid the Sheldon Your Vets branch

If this system allowed negative stars I would glady give them. We are meant to trust these "professionals" to look after our pets and provide a service to help us. Their slogan is "The affordable vets who love your pets" and I will echo several comments others made which is they only love your pets as they will gladly bleed you dry of all your money. The staff have no empathy or compassion and only interested in your money. We trusted them with our beloved family member, they gladly took over 5k from us (which we can't afford) but we had to do everything to save him and yet they still failed and put him to sleep. I appreciate ops in general are risk for anyone but they discharged him twice and both times had to go back and they are the "experts". Please avoid this surgery if you love your pets, we do and I will never darken their doors again unless it's with a solicitor. There must be others who are better. I urge everyone that has had a bad experience with this surgery to report them to the Royal College of Veterinary surgeons.

Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague. Spent £1300 for treatment, blood analysis, then was told the cat needed a referral which would cost around £4000. Vet and nurse were very abrupt (especially the nurse) when we said we couldn't afford £4000. Derogatory remarks were made against us. If we couldn't afford it why had we got a pet was one of the insults thrown at us.Basically if you haven't got the money your cat should be euthanized was another. Have changed vets now as I believe money is the most important thing for Your Vets rather than looking after your pets. Family members and friends are also going to move to other vets after explaining our experience.

SMETHWICK practice CAUSED my frenchies death…

SMETHWICK practice CAUSED THE DEATH of my beloved 2 year old french bulldog within 3 hours of addmittance.Over £1,200 vet bill from a locum vet,you are not aware they hire to cover out of hours emergencies.I expressed concerns she was a very anxious, nervous dog but was rudly ignored ,he insisted on a possible obstruction and the need for hospital addmitance for investigation.I was led to reception to pay £400 deposit. My heart sank as i t caught a glimps of her as he sneakily led her out back still in pain panting heavily and even more anxious as he taken her away.He didn't even give time for pain medications given to take effect.Within 10 MINUTES ! in such a poor condition and being warned she had only just eaten she was subjected to the procedures to take bloods. At this point with the stress endured she vomited causing aspiration into her lungs.she was given diazapam and he did not protect her airways. This is what caused her death there was no obstruction she had gasto. He even insulted us by calling our frenchie cheap (£2600)as she lay there lifeless with him telling us she were brain dead. Gone down every avenue of the complaints procedrure only to be passed on to their vet defence insurance team who write you a rather abrupt nasty letter stating in a court of law its on me to prove the vet acted negligent in a manner no other vet or his peers would. If you value your furbabies life and the state of your mental health Avoid like the plague!

Only interested in money

Only interested in money and getting paid immediately.
I have to have my PET put down tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised to see them with a needle in one hand and the bill in the other. I also doubt the Receptionist has ever been trained in anything. FYI: being upset is not being rude, but neverminded just hang up the phone as you cant cope with your own lack of respect, humanity or training.

Don't care

Always used this place vaccination etc.
Called them to sat my dog was very Pooley etc I was told come in Wed two days later. I knew he needed urgent care so used another vet that could see him ASAP. Sadly I lost him that day.
So much for loyalty at this place
My dog would of suffered for 2 days till they could see him
No emergency appointments I was told. Disgraceful.

YOURVETS RAYLEIGH

YOURVETS RAYLEIGH

Every month for the last year i have got a printed prescription from them and every month they take their time doing it and have the nerve to charge £21.90 for a piece of paper or two every month, its ridiculous. This time it's taken 5 days, i had contact 2 days ago saying they were getting the prescription ready (3 days after requesting) and not heard anything since and now its 5 days later. The vet who phoned claimed one medication i need doesn't need a prescription, i checked on online places i can gwt it from and all require a prescription for it, shows how much they know. How hard is it to print paper and sign it, doesn't take long either.

Our dog has skin issues and over a year she's been back and forth to the vets to find out what was going on, no one knew, the so called vets had "never seen anything like it" and tried saying it was mange, which is wasn't and isn't. They said just take her home and she will pass peacefully......she has alot of life left in her yet. Our dog also had allergy tablets, injections and a blood test but no answer, it was suggested they could take samples and send off but i said no as our dog is older and i wasn't putting her through that and we may have no got an answer.

Everytime we have to go to the vets for a check up i wonder who we will see this time as we have never seen the same vet and we have to explain everything to the next one we see. Every locum we see also can't believe how bad the practice is when we tell them but they aren't surprised to hear it.

We only found out last month that our dog has atopic dermatitis, diagnosed by another locum, the only vet we had seen who actually knew what they were talking about. That was when we went for a medication review, the forst one since December 2021 when our dog went on medication. Absolutely shocking. Medication reviews should be regularly done and not when they feel like it.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, there so called service is absolutely shocking and they don't know anything. Just playing at being vets.

I'm switching to another vets, hopefully ones who know what they are doing and their customers are a priority and not an inconvenience

Your Vets Rayleigh.

Your Vets Rayleigh.
I phoned up Friday 10/11 7.20am.
The receptionist I spoke to was so unhelpful, no advice given or any reassurance, I then rang up another emergency vets after this unhelpful phone call and they conducted themselves in the manor I expected, very helpful indeed.
I phoned for advice on my dogs behavior that morning, I explained how the day before he’d been to his vets & been given some medication to take for seizures, I just wanted to check that his behaviour was ok until I could speak to his vet an hour later when they opened. I just wanted some reassurance like: it was just him getting used to the meds this is absolutely normal, but instead the receptionist decided she thought it was best to say to me maybe he had a brain tumor (which I felt not appropriate to suggest) especially as I’m not calling for a diagnosis I’m calling for advice on his behavior to the meds.
I told her this, to which she then responded rudely to me calling herself just a receptionist and what would she know..
I mean she’s right but again when people call up worried about their pets maybe don’t plant more worry & instead help, like you’re supposed to it’s your job to help animals I thought.

Anyway safe to say I will never use this vet or recommend them to anyone.

My ex signed the dogs up to healthy pet…

My ex signed the dogs up to healthy pet club. I wanted to cancel it, but I was told it would cost me £180 to do so.

I later took my dog in who was sneezing, I was with the vet less than 2 minuets, she said she can't do anything about it, but I could book him in for a £1000 procedure to investigate under sedation. They then charged me £55.50 for this.

I will not be using them in future.

Totally dissatisfied.

Avoid at all costs

We would like to share our story and would strongly advise that if you love and value your family pet to avoid this company at all costs.
On friday 22nd September 2023 we found one of our cats was in pain and could not urinate so we immediately phoned this company to make an appointment as this problem had happened before to our boy. My husband would himself has just recently returned home from having 3 major surgeries took our boy to our local branch as i have mobility problems. The vet said there was no blockage gave him pain relief at a cost of £200.
By sunday our boy had deteriorated so fast could barely move was in absolute agony and completely lethargic. My husband spent hours on the phone being a Sunday and emergency hours trying to get help. Initially they did not want to know but eventually told him to go to the solihull branch . By this time it was late at night. When my husband arrived there he was told that he was not allowed inside the building and would have to wait outside which is disgusting enough as we no longer drive and had taken a taxi to get there. The vet was extremely rude saying if you give us the cat and he is blocked we will put him down or the cost will be £4000 . Absolutely ridiculous and we don't have that kind of money as we are already paying for another cats vet bill that died through an accident. My husband went mad and said i am not handing over my cat for you to just put down when we knew all that was needed was a catheter to drain all the fluid. There was a solution . This vet continued to be extremely vile and uncaring and had the ordasity to tell my husband he was cruel !!. It was the vet that was being cruel. Cruel people do not take their beloved pets to a vet . In the end a nurse looked at our very ill boy by this time and confirmed he was blocked. So my husband then got another taxi and went 20miles to a pdsa hospital who he had spoken to on the phone and it was arranged to take him in. My husband got there with an exceptionally kind taxi driver and our boy was admitted into their hospital where he has had to have 2 operations for catheters and to remove the obstructive stones and crystals that was blocking him which is a common problem in male cats. The care he is currently receiving is absolutely exceptional and they are constantly updating us on his progress.
We find it disgusting that a vet refused to help that wanted to put a healthy cat down just because he had a blockage. We thought vets were supposed to help and save animals lives. This is not the case here at yourvets and they constantly want money which we are sure they make up the amounts as they go along. Its not a vets that care for its patients just purely a money making company.
We have also had problems with this company as another of our cats need special flea treatment and each time they keep changing the prices. We are disgusted that the vet who saw our boy on friday was so incompetent and misdiagnosed the problem and charged us extortionate amount for pain relief that did not work and the fact our cat got so ill. And yet when we took him back on sunday they did not want to know. In fact by the time we drove the 20 miles to the pdsa he was barely 2hours away from dying.
In fact my sister in law also had a cat with the same problem and with sheer incompetence she lost her boy.
Its time this company was investigated and their licence revoked as they really do not care about the animals at all. Its a company thats run totally on money making. This is all that matters to this company.
All people that have had bad experiences should get together and get this company closed down ideally.
Thank god for the pdsa and the amount of care and love they have given to our boy. They were like angels that came to our boys rescue at the final hours. Our boy now is alert and recovering thanks to the wonderful staff here.
We will never ever have any further dealings with yourvets again. They are exceptionally rude .very uncaring towards the animals and their main concern is all about the money. You really don't expect a vet practice to be operating like this. We hope that in the not too distant future this company has been closed down because it really has no place .

VETS TO BE INVESTIGATED ASAP!!

Save your pets from this vile vet company which are purely there to make money!!

We have experienced racism!! I was turn down/denied access to the kittens I had taken for medical care on the advise of RSPCA AND A REGISTERED CAT RESCUE COMPANY! this is direct discrimination to turns me down access for kittens i have been caring for the last 8 weeks.
This vets place and the man Connor and the head nurse are the worst vets I have ever come across I shall be sharing my story on social platforms and taking my complaint higher.
Racist and vile people have taken 3 kittens born to a stray cat which we have taken care of for the last 7weeks. I took them for treatment to be greeted by a disgusting nurse who snatched the kittens out my hands and didn’t return them to me. Cat rescue have contacted them and they have refused access to the centre as well as myself! The head nurse did not come back out to tell me why she had done this and why she felt the need to take the kittens away from me while I have taken care of them and have found good homes for them. The cat rescue also rang them to take the kittens from them and this awful place refused them access and said they would never give them to me or the rescue place and give them to any other rescues centre.
I’m disgusted at how I was treated and how the cat rescue have been treated. Vile place please do not leave or take your cats or kittens in as you may never see them again.
The cat mum is now distressed and the kittens are without their mothers milk. I will be sharing pictures on all platforms to show how the cat mum is in distress, however the vets are not bothered about having the cat mum.

Seeing as this place likes stray cats please everyone get cat traps and leave all stray cats at this place!

AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THESE VETS THEY WILL LITERALLY DENY YOU AND MANIPULATE YOU AND TALK DOWN AT YOU!

THIS PRACTICE NEEDS TO GO UNDER INVESTIGATION AND THEIR FINANCES AND FUNDING RECORDS NEEDS TO BE CHECKED.
TRADING STANDARDS NEED TO GO THIS PRACTICE OR SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR INVESTIGATION!

ALL WORKERS HERE NEED TO GO UNDER TRAINING AND BACK GROUND CHECKS AND THE HEAD NURSE NEEDS TO BE FIRED FOR DISPLAYING DISCRIMINATING BEHAVIOUR!

NOT recommended

My dog was coughing up blood, he is insured, so no problem right? Yourvet want the vet bill upfront before they even look at your pet, my insurance already confirmed he is covered, but no, they want you to pay, then you claim it back.
Please don't use, they are not there for the pets, it's a money making business that has no care for the animals.

Unhelpful and sarcastic reception staff/

I have been a loyal customer of the Wythall practice of your vets for over 25 years and always paid there very expensive charges, I had an appointment today at 3;50 pm and arrived at 4 pm due to animals loose warnings on the M40
I stated to the reception I was sorry for being late due to traffic before I could finnish I was sharply told I had lost my appointment due to being late, I will point out there were no customers waiting with dogs to be seen my 130 lb Italian mastiff Zues was nervous and needed his booster and a check over it was his first time here although they treat my female mastiff Coco who's been with them since a pup.
I wasn't happy and believed they could have tried to fit me in because I had mae the 40 minutes journey to get there, I have spent thousands at this practice and customer retention obviously means nothing to these people. The reception had no intention or interest to help me a took great delight in being sarcastic I advised they would lose my custom which was met with a strug of the shoulders by the vet nurse who then smirked at me and told me to have a nice weekend whilst sitting smugly behind the counter. Don't wast your money with this practice customers are not valued and reception staff don't care if your dog needs treating or not. Shop around and find some where your custom will be appreciated. I have two mastiff's that will require treatment of some kind and will find a vets that appreciate you and your pets
