My 12-year-old son absolutely loves the Youth Nutrition shakes! He trains football six days a week, so having something quick, tasty, and nutritious makes a huge difference for him. The shakes give him the energy he needs and he actually looks forward to drinking them. Highly recommended for active kids!

While searching for the right supplements for my 14-year-old son, who leads a very intense lifestyle and trains at least five times a week, I came across YSN products. I’m so glad that someone has finally created a line designed specifically for hardworking teenagers. Daily training, keeping a healthy competition weight, and maintaining proper micro- and macronutrient levels are all crucial — and YSN products provide exactly that. The vitamin gummies in the morning and the protein-vitamin shake after training make the perfect combination.

We have purchased the shakes (in all flavours), the Nutri Bar, and the gummy bear vitamins from YSN for my 12-year-old son, who swims four nights a week and competes most weekends at swimming galas. My son is very fussy as he only drinks water and doesn't eat sweets or chocolates. He struggled with the shakes due to their texture, so his swim friends ended up using them, and they loved the taste of them.

Having said that, my son enjoys having the Nutri Bars when we have 8am galas, as he cannot eat any breakfast apart from one toast. He eats them in the car on our way to the pool and tops up with another bar after a light lunch. It gives him extra energy for those all-day galas where he has to swim lots of races throughout the day without feeling heavy and bloated.
He also takes the gummy bears as his vitamins. We have tried other brands from Tesco, and he did not like the taste or the texture of them. But he liked the YSN vitamins as they taste better and are easily chewable without the horrible aftertaste. It also works out cheaper if you subscribe, so there is no gap and worry of running out.
I have had to contact their customer service a few times, one to deal with the expiry dates of the vitamins and another when the post man delivered an opened package and the Nutri Bars were stolen during transit. The YSN customer service was easy to communicate with, responded immediately and quickly resolved the issues. I have been very happy dealing with this company and using their products, and have recommended them to all the other swim mums and even handed out Nutri Bars to other swimming kids during galas.

Adam was fantastic in resolving a delivery issue and went further to ensure customer satisfaction. The product is also fab and my boy loves it!

Firstly I never write reviews but I just have to! I have been trying to get advice on nutrition for my 14 year old rugby player for a while and nobody would help me because he’s a child. I have had a 15 minute free teams meeting with a ysn nutritionist and couldn’t be more grateful for what I have learned. There are now options for more help which I have taken. I recommend this to every parent who wants more guidance with their childs nutrition specific to their sport. Thank you to the business owners who genuinely care about their customers, having a personal email to say get in touch if I need anything. This is how all of the above came into place. Products are perfect as although my son was having protein shakes before I now know that by having these shakes he’s getting absolutely everything he needs including nutrients and vitamins etc. couldn’t be happier. Thank you.

Nutri teen shakes have genuinely been a game changer for us. My 11yo daughter does a lot of competetive sport and was really struggling with exhaustion and constant illness despite our constant effort to feed her with healthy food. Since she started drinking a Nutri-teen shake every day the transformation has been unbelievable. Even the day after a swim meet, where previously she has missed school as she was so tired - now she is full of energy and raring to go. I honestly cannot recommend it enough for active children. We add peanut butter, banana and cocoa powder and she loves it!

Products are exactly what I was looking for for my athletic teenager - safe (and not overly sweet) protein shake...the granola bars are yummy and delicious!

Not had a chance to sample products yet but shaker arrived damaged so I emailed company, had excellent communication and a replacement was dispatched almost immediately.

My daughter is a competitive Muay Thai fighter who trains 6-7 days a week. I was initially looking for a product that was suitable for teen athletes that would support growth, development, immunity and aid recovery and I found it!

Loryn loves the vanilla protein powder and mixed with milk says it tastes like she is having a milkshake. It is perfect after her late night Muay Thai sessions or after a strength training circuit at the gym.

This product contains all the essential vitamins, minerals and protein in one shake. It keeps her fuelled, supports her growth and after using for a month I have noticed that she has increased energy levels and it aids her recovery after all the training she does.

Loryn is excited to try the other flavours, definitely recommend this product.

We have an ongoing subscription that includes Bars, Gummy Bears, and Shakes.

What’s disappointing is that there was no warning about any delay before full payment was taken. We only found out—after following up ourselves—that there would be a dispatch issue lasting up to four weeks for one of the products.

For athletes, consistency is essential, but the company’s consistency in communication has been very poor. When we reached out to request that the remaining products be shipped separately, our email wasn’t even acknowledged.

We’ve been loyal customers for over 12 months, and this is the second time this has happened. After the first incident, we were assured that we’d be kept informed of any future dispatch delays—but once again, we received no notification.

They are quick to take payment, but not as quick to dispatch products or keep customers updated. This is especially disappointing given that these products are designed to support young athletes’ recovery and performance, where consistency is crucial.

Extremely disappointed that although you take out a subscription which they know the volumes that are needed to fulfil them as you have a recurring every four weeks they simply can't prioritise this. I would understand if the item was out of stock and it was your first purchase but to be left in limbo like this is wholly unacceptable.

Perfect for my daughter

My daughter trains and competes at least five days a week! Times vary over the week from straight after school to late in the evenings.

We chose Youth sport nutrition because it has been especially designed for younger athletes.
We now know that she is having all the correct nutrients that is needed especially after a day full of sports, Sometimes this could be for a few hours or sometimes over a full weekend.
They all taste great and she can take them where and when needed! Making protein pancakes is a massive hit at the moment.
We have noticed a massive improvement in energy levels and recovery times added with the daily vitamin gummy we are definitely ticking all the boxes.
