Took 3 grandkids 7-9 years old , total waste of money & so disapointing .
3 puppets , fire jugglers, no music totally dissapointed 3 grandchildren who loved it 1st year round in 2023. Seems to be just a money maker on the marshmallows , drinks & rides obviously all additional to the entry fee ! Dont waste your money

Yuletide experience - Tatton Park £132 work of disappointment!

We took our two children and 4 grandchildren (one was fortunately a baby) on Saturday 20/12/2025. Arrived at 5 and were out, back in our car and on our drive home by 5:45.

We travelled for an hour to get to the event and an hour to get home and honestly the children were more excited by the farm shop selling Christmas trees on the way!

There were three lit up puppets, no welcoming acrobats, one story area that you couldn’t get into, one band singing near the end and two people with pots and pans that toddlers could bang with some sticks! Light trail was short and there was nothing Christmaasy about the event at all! It was actually quite dark walking around and floors were uneven. Given the hype, we expected a better trip than our visit to Chester zoo but we’re extremely disappointed.

I shared feedback with them directly before deciding to put this on Trustpilot but they dismissed my feedback and went straight to “your tickets are non refundable as per the t&c’s” suggesting I’m not the first to provide them with constructive feedback! Aparently it’s a folk lore event and not supposed to be Christmassy! I also suggest they age rated it to children age 3-5 as any older children would be disappointed (mine are 7,8 and 12)

So if you were mistakenly expecting to take your children to a Christmas light experience in December in Tatton Park and they are older than 5 then don’t waste your money, Chester zoo was much better value.

I hope this honest review helps as I took home 3 disappointed grandchildren.
