Over-Promised and Under-Delivered at Every Stage
We invested a significant amount of money with YWS for a 16 week programme to launch and scale our TikTok Shop, including influencer management, onboarding support, and full shop setup. We were assured repeatedly that they had never failed to deliver substantial revenue for a client within that timeframe. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite.
The team assigned to us was scattered across multiple countries, which in itself isn’t an issue, but their communication, coordination, and accountability were extremely poor. YWS did not manage their own internal workflow and instead relied on our weekly updates to organise their team. Weeks passed with major issues unresolved, and our internal team had to take over and fix listing errors and other fundamental problems that YWS were explicitly contracted to handle.
There was a complete lack of initiative when it came to influencer onboarding and content. Despite these areas being central to what we were paying for, YWS failed to provide any meaningful progress. Influencer onboarding was slow, poorly managed, and often left entirely to us to push forward. Likewise, content planning and execution showed no proactive thinking, no strategy, and no ownership from their side.
When we escalated matters to senior management, they acknowledged clear failings within their team and extended our time with them. However, even with this extension, not a single critical issue was resolved, and their performance did not improve.
The gap between what the salesperson confidently promised and what the delivery team actually provided was enormous. The sales pitch guaranteed results, the account manager and delivery team were inexperienced, disorganised, and failed to deliver even the basics of the service we paid for.
This was one of the most disappointing agency experiences we have had. Based on our experience, I strongly advise against working with this company.
