Dont Destroy your Child's Future with YourZoneAcademy

Enrolling in this academy can be severely damaging your child’s future.

TL;DR

Non-committed teachers, false commitments, bad staff. Their sole aim is– to maximise the profit without any respect and care for the children and parents who entrusted them in the children's most crucial academic year. Rather, choose a school- even half bad will be better than Your Zone Academy.

Got my children into this academy, on the promise that they have English Literature teachers, and can fully deliver this curriculum. At first, it would sound like a relief for the people who are looking for an English A level. Yes, the owner knows some deal about how the Cambridge system works. But let's look at how they are operating, first-hand-

False Promise one: They did not have a proper English Literature teacher- this was our first and foremost requirement. Their success lies in the fact were successful to hide to a good extent the churn of the teachers as much as they could. For a term that started in mid-September, by December they already changed 3 teachers.

Worse, by March (6 months), the curriculum covered was just under 10%. Yes, TEN PERCENT. Even worst, with this change, the child's favourite subject and all interests in it were destroyed.

False Promise Two: In a Francophone country yourzone academy had to change the French teacher twice. And at the end of 2nd term, they convinced the child to switch to biology- and automatically assumed that parent will pay almost double (3200. TND per subject per term). The rate was increased to cover the expense of their new premise.

False Promise Three: The third subject was Maths. In the very first month, 2 teachers were changed. Their first teacher got a job and was not able to continue! About rest some detail, later.

False Promise Four: Before the enrollment, they promised to send the child's progress report every month. And also that there will be weekly events. In reality, in 8 months, only once they sent the reports, that too when it was demanded. And only once there was an event. I am least bothered about the event, but be careful, if you are being sold something as niceties and freebies, don't let the marketing fool you.

False Promise Five: With all the meticulous planning they pitch it, as if with this intensive work the child will be able to finish the course work well in advance. But in reality, the child lost a whole year. As she could not get two subjects - one due to lack of skilled teacher and other due to exorbitant price.

Also, some important points

In the name of intensive courses, they divide the year into 4 terms.
In general, the teachers are freelancers, paid hourly, are students themselves and without any commitments. It happened in many changes, the teacher left without any notice (and the academy tried to cover it up). Of total 9 or 10 teachers, the child was assigned to, the only one we found is a permanent teacher!
The whole academy is built on a simple model - get parents committed (read paid) 3 - 6 or 12 months straight, without having any commitment of teachers. This means children are always at alarming risk of change of teacher without any notice or backup replacement, leading to waste of time and money.
It happened twice- that they stopped the tutoring without any notice to the parent. Only after it is underlined that their invoices are inline, then only they resumed.
The main admin is seriously in need of some customer interaction training. She loves to have the last word and debates without looking at your situation. I have faced multiple time her yelling.

My child lost 1 academic year due to this academy. Be careful. If you have money to spend on a child's education, better choose a school, where someone is responsible and committed. A self-studying child can and will do better than going to your zone academy.
