I have used Zamzar since 2009, mostly the free version. There were only a few options for converting files back then but they have continually built the system to make it what it is today, much more comprehensive. A couple of years I decided to pay (as I had lots to convert) giving me added benefit of uploading larger files, storage etc. I also felt I owed it to them :-)

We are in the days of call centres where staff have a script they must follow without any consideration for customer. Any time I have consulted with Zamzar customer support, whether it's feedback on how they should improve customer experience or any other issue, they have acknowledged my email, given advice and gave a considered reply. It is much appreciated. This is what customer support is all about.

Waited a long time for a large file to convert just for them to tell me I have to create an account and pay 18 dollars a month for something that is WIDELY free across the internet... yikes.

I was in a bit of a pickle having a very long Pages document that I needed to convert to Word. It was too long for the standard converter to deal with but the support staff were incredibly helpful in getting an old man's diary into Word. It wasn't an easy conversion but Zamzar went out of their way to achieve it. My faith in private enterprise is completely restored!

The custom support ticket I raised was dealt with superbly and incredibly quickly given the complexity of the request.

I tried using this website a very big .rar file to a .zip and after FINALLY uploading the file to the website it gave me the option to "download" the .zip file, I click "download" & what am I met with? I am met with a page telling me that I have to pay them money to be able to get more than just 50MB on their website I was not even planning on using ever again after this one time, I find it really annoying that they set up the site like this knowing full-well that people would use this website to try and get their .zip file just to be met with the payment options, they should make the payment options be the first thing you see on the website, maybe then I would have bought it, but with this scumminess I'm not buying, I recommend using any reliable site to convert files other than this BS

I wanted to convert one file
After conversion (18mb) it tells me it is to big to be downloaded for free useless if you need it for one book don't download if you don't want to buy it because you will not get your file if it is bigger than 5mb useless

The best. I have been using them for the past about 5 years or a little less. Every time a few files for conversion. It is easy to use, no hidden tricks.

I had an issue with the application of thier software. It turned out that I had a unique situation and the applicaion did not apply to my needs. I reached out to Zamzar support and was helped immediatly, and refunded the money I had paid.
They were very helpful and responsive. I can and do highly recommend them to anyone.

In a nutshell, Suzanne and her support team are the recipe for excellence in customer support! I had an extremely pleasant, professional, technical, fast and thorough support when I faced an installation issue on my laptop. They have provided detailed information and followed through until the issue was resolved. They deserve the badge of "Customer Focused".

not free, requires money

Scammers. When file is uploaded they asking money, but in the first page - "Convert FLV to MP4 online and free"!

I had been trying to open up this document and was completely stumped, I then looked online and found this online conversion!!! Fantastic and super EASY!!! Love it

After spending time to make what i came for, spent lots of minutes waiting for upload convert and download, it only tells you after all this that you can use 10mb. FFS. Merry xmas.

I used the Zamzar service as a one-off and forgot to cancel the subscription. When I saw on my credit card statement that the payment was pending, I hurriedly cancelled my account and contacted Zamzar asking if I was too late to stop the payment.
They replied the same morning and sent me a refund.
