PLEASE avoid at all costs

I have never had a worse experience with a company in my life than I have with Zee Elle.

I’ve been purchasing human hair wigs for 9 years due to a medical condition that has caused full hair loss. I was very excited to receive a Zee Elle “glueless brunette” wig given the advertised description and images. It arrived after 1 month, and it was immediately clear that the quality of the wig was significantly below that that I was lead to believe by the assertions on their website (emphasis on descriptions as “luxury”) and the very high price point (this model and others go £1,200+), particularly compared to the number of other, considerably better quality wigs I have purchased at lower price points over almost a decade.

The “baby hairs” advertised look nothing like - rather choppy 1-2 inch long chunks, that look like a poorly cut fringe. The hair looks thin and straggly, and it feels crispy and frazzled rather than soft. I also share the experience of many others in the reviews - the hair colour I received is unlike that advertised - both photos and description. The colour I have received is not the warm brunette advertised, but verging on, if not actually, black. The number of complaints of this theme here should be quite telling - you are ultimately gambling on what you will receive, given their hard stance that it MUST be your screen/s that are wrong, never them. Further, and most frustratingly, the hair at the roots are a vibrant orange - in stark, jarring contrast to my skin. I paid for the advertised bleached knots, which are supposed to make the hair look more natural, but instead received orange roots. When I requested a return having received a faulty item (google image “overbleached knots”), they told me to put foundation or powder on the hair. I have never been expected by a company to modify issues present on a brand new wig, never mind one advertised as “luxury” and at such a high price point. Even where there is fault (overbleached knots) they have, in my experience, vehemently refuted fault despite evidence to the contrary. Their customer service have completely disregarded and underplayed the issues, relying largely on the assumption that by stating things with conviction, their customers will not have the knowledge base to attest to the falseness of their claim of no fault. Therefore, their “policy” of no return unless faulty puts you in a very precarious position, with, quite possibly, hundreds of pounds at stake, given their refusal to accept fault.

After back-and-forth regarding a return and refund, they suggested I trade in the faulty wig for one without bleached knots & roots, however, I absolutely do not trust the company at this point, nor the quality of the products they produce or the accuracy of their advertisements. Therefore, I have had to resort to seeking legal advice, and I am due to initiate civil claims court proceedings to get my money back, once the company has provided final written confirmation of refusal to accept a return for refund, and for them to provide their address. Please save yourself the time and energy I am having to spend on this.

Given that Trustpilot does not offer the feature to post photos, which I think would be helpful here, I will create an IG profile ASAP within the next few weeks to upload photos showing the above flaws, and overall quality of the wig received. I invite anybody, past, present, to reach out to me on this IG account to share photos of their own Zee Elle wigs so I can post these too, so potential consumers can make an informed decision on whether they choose to part with money for this company. I will either repost or edit this with the addition of the IG handle ASAP in coming weeks.

I also purchased the wig having read positive reviews here on Trustpilot, most of which Trustpilot have now removed having been flagged as “fake reviews” that they believe “relate to review seller networks that buy and sell fake reviews”. In case this is removed, I will also post the dated screenshot of this on the IG profile.

In all, this experience is in stark contrast to the treatment I have received at every other wig store I have visited (whether a purchase made, or not), where I have been met with care, compassion, and empathy, particularly in consideration of my medical condition and their knowledge that wig shopping can be an emotional, even vulnerable, experience. I cannot go without a wig, so had to purchase an additional one from a reputable seller. The second wig I purchased was significantly better quality, as expected.

This has been a lengthy and stressful process, constituting a significant financial and emotional burden. I cannot advise more strongly that this company be avoided.

I understand you purchased a wig for £1,200. We only recently upgraded all our wigs specification and prices a few days ago. Unless the wig you purchased was a few days ago, there is way it would have been £1200.

Fox buttered walnut blonde lace wig

I just got my wig, never ordered from them before, it’s amazing. The condition of the hair is super soft and the wig cap is in very good condition. I have a petit head and fits very well compared to other sites. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Guest list wig

I ordered the guest list wig, it’s only the second wig I’ve ever had it was so beautiful and soft. I had so many compliments and will definitely be purchasing again!!!! I wore it to a festival all day and didn’t take a brush and it was still snag free by the end of the day.

I would give a 0 if it was possible

I would give a 0 if it was possible, I placed an order which was guaranteed 3-5 days delivery I waited virtually a month for the item & ended up cancelling my order as the wig was needed for an event, I was told I would be refunded & that the order had been successfully cancelled & a refund had been processed which turned out to be a lie! I can’t home from a week away to find the wig that had supposedly been cancelled had been delivered,I send various emails regarding this but never received a reply

Worst wig ever

If I could give a minus review for Zeeelle I would
the wig was horrendous
I paid £800 and it was just awful
the delivery time was absolutely ridiculous

I had ordered dark rooted human hair wig with very light ash blonde / highlights throughout
it had so many dabs of brown colour all over it as if someone's had touched it everywhere with dark brown dye it was shocking
All over the top section and throughout
The dark brown weft we're stitched on with white cotton ?? Seriously ? You can see it everywhere
And not just that it was all white knotted clogged up cotton - shocking
The picture they used to advertise the wig showed the hair being clipped up clipped back and not just worn down..If you clipped up any section of this wig it is horrendously patchy like a raccoon feathery type patchiness of colour everywhere underneath it is absolutely un wearable
Ever time I I try contact them to discuss it - only available via message which is frustrating they avoid discussing or answering any of the main points ??
Absolute Waste if money
To be told I can't return it

BEWARE!!!! HORRIBLE WIGS

I ordered one of their synthetic wigs a few months ago and I LITERALLY NEVER WORE IT ONCE. The color was a dingy, dull brown that I wouldn't even call brunette and the hair line was so bad, I could've bought a better one at a costume shop. $100 down the drain. I was going to ask for a refund but I saw that so many people wouldn't even get a response or they were blocked that I just said forget it and threw it in the garbage. What's sad is that's what they want people to do, get discouraged and forget about it. Well, thankfully I only spent $100, I've seen some girls buy ones for $1000 and get screwed. BUYER BEWARE!!!! these are horribly made wigs. In my opinion, it's a scam. They don't advertise what their selling, AT ALL.

Amazing wig, long delivery time

I originally wrote a bad review after my wig being 3 weeks late, however the wig arrived and it was exactly like the picture, was thick and had loads of dimension, I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the other reviews on here, also a special thanks to Amara at customer services for helping me

you’ve been warned

Bought the Kapri wig in a size large which retailed for over $1500. I contacted the company to change the full lace to lace front. I then also asked about expediting the wig. They told me that a lot of their workers are out with COVID and that it may take even longer for the wig to be shipped. I told them that is unacceptable as it already was taking them a long time to fulfill my order at baseline. I was told my wig would be expedited after I had already requested a refund. Wig eventually arrived and was not at all as advertised. I ordered a multidimensional blonde wig with roots. I received a grey/purple toned blonde wig with dark roots and no dimension. I was also sent a size small wig as it did not even cover my hair all the way. I sent them pictures and was gaslighted numerous times. The difference in what I received was far beyond a difference in lighting. There were also black splotches from the root color on the length of the wig in some areas. They never once took accountability for their terrible coloring skills. Do not ever purchase a blonde human hair lace wig from this company.

My order suppose to be shipped last…

My order suppose to be shipped last week emailed and they said they would hurry up but didn’t give a date they were sending it out by. Every time I track order keeps getting pushed back I needed it before 17th march but doesn’t look like it, seen some good reviews about good shipping but not in my experience. Hopefully it’s not gonna be months more

Amazing all round!

Please help

Been waiting over 4 months, ordered the Winchester wig on the 14th of December, the tracking keeps adding months on to delivery, paid £800 and it says it will arrive on the 07/04/2022 very scared this is a scam and that it won't actually arrive, so I've been having to wear a head scarf because of how long it's taking, messaged and emailed them a few times and I have had no update, Did anyone else wait this long and did your wig arrive?

If I could give this company zero…

If I could give this company zero stars I would… I went on there website and ordered a wig for a event I had coming up. When I was placing the order it said the wig would be delivered between 3-5 days then after placing the order which I placed (January 11th) the tracking then said the wig should be delivered before March… I contacted zeeelle by sending 2 emails and explaining to them I no longer needed the wig as it wouldn’t be here in time for this event… I waited a few weeks and still had no reply so I sent them another email after contacting my bank and them being able to find their address.. firstly I need to make it clear that numerous emails have been exchanged between me and “amara” and not once has she gave me the return address she asked me what address I returned it too and I gave her the address my bank told me to send it back to and her reply to that was

“ Hi Samantha,

Thank you for getting back to us. Please find attached a screenshot of our Return Policy. We specifically asked to contact us before sending a return because our return address is different from our Business address. The Business address is not open 5 days a week to accept returns.

We advice that you keep in contact with Royal Mail regarding your parcel.

Please let us know if you need anything else.

I had sent them a email on two different occasions before sending the wig back and now the wig has been delivered by Royal Mail they still have not processed a refund. Firstly they advertised the delivery of the wig under false pretences because before ordering the wig it was said to be delivered between 3-5 days but as soon as the order was processed they said delivery would be between January the 12th and march

This is me letting yourselves zeeelle know that I will be reporting you to trading standards and also leaving multiple reviews about this situation until it is resolved. THIS IS NOT THE WAY YOU DO BUSINESS YOURE SCAM ARTISTS. You should be ashamed of yourselves. AVOID THIS COMPANY PEOPLE.

I waited 4 months for a wig that's awful!! £800 for quality that's not worth half and completely the wrong wig to the pictures.
I ordered a white blonde with Ash roots and got a dirty dark blonde with dark roots and a weird thick piece at the crown that's so unnatural not to mention dry and frazzled with so much wispy hair inside the cap!
I contacted them for a return and they come back saying that colour varies from picture and are not willing to do anything!! I've lost £800 for tat they know I needed it after undergoing medical treatment and they sent me something that I cant sell for £100!!
DO NOT BUY AS THEY WONT REFUND OR RETURN AND YOU DO NOT GET ANYTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!

From the review,I understand that you purchased a full lace wig and are unhappy with the colour received and the cap construction.

Full lace wigs are hand knotted by our team. It is very very normal for it to have a bit of light hairs inside the cap. It is because single knots light knots are used to make the full lace wig look as natural as possible. - this does not affect the quality of the wig.

Also with hair colours, whilst we try to match the exact colours on screen - our human hair wigs are hand painted by our team in the UK. Colours will vary slightly due to light - this is clearly stated on the product page.

I understand your are unhappy because you are used to wearing lace front wigs. A member of our team will reach out to resolve your complaint.

Am disgusted and very disappointed with this company I’ve ordered wigs a lot previously and these wigs just arnt worry the money one but they don’t come how the look in the pictures it come wrong colour I ordered a light blonde and got a dirty dark blonde colour I said could I please send it back to make the colour right but they don’t want to know is wasn’t 20” was more like a 16” on top is all uneven it looks like a wig and straggly at the ends I have bought wigs of ali for fraction of the price what are miles better hair isn’t best quality save your money and buy elsewhere! Once they have ur money they don’t care

I reviewed your order and you purchased the LEONIE wig from our SAAVY Collection. This collection has pieces that are 150% density. This is the lowest volume we offer and come usually lighter. The LEONIE wig is also a dark brown with light blonde highlights. You can see the colour from the back of the wig.

We do offer higher density units (180% and 200%) on our website but they are priced up to 50% more.

A member of our customer service team will reach out and provide options of how you can increase the density of your existing unit and also help resolve any issues you may have.

Save yourself the loss

If you are not an influencer of some kind don't bother. Yet another company selling through amazing pictures and the product is no where near the same. I have worn wigs for years due my alopecia and saved up for this HH peice at £820 but was so disappointed. The hair is dry and frizzy and it I am outside in rain, its a full Bush on my head! When I tried to get help they advised the quality might have been affected in transit, in the 24 hours its was in a box? Unless the driver took a shortcut through the underworld, im not sure how he burned the hair inside the packaging. I was also told I could buy olaplex of I am unhappy with the texture? Spend more of my money to fix, what at this price should have been perfect condition? It is so thick and heavy, and after a week of wearing the hair at the nape of the neck is constantly bunching, which means it's not cuticle.correct and not easy to wear at all, I have to brush it out all day long. If you have genuine hair loss and want something realistic to wear day to day, this is not the place. Unfortunately I have spent all my money on this peice and have no choice but to have hagrid hair till I can replace this. I asked for a partial refund or help but was told there is no help.as I have already worn it. Which is fair, thats ehats in the website. However the quality if what they have sent me in no way stands up to what I agreed to either!

Not the same units pictured

I have 3 zeeelle wigs. Allegra, Giselle, and Cindy

None of them look like the photos.
The hair quality is nice. The hairline is decent. Definitely not customized and pre plucked as they say. But my main issue is I ordered 3 wigs and not one of them looks like the listing photo. The cheapest wig was 1100 usd. Don’t be fooled by the listing photos. And the length pictured says 22-24” but when I order 24” it definitely doesn’t look the same.

They give out high quality professionally colored wigs for reviews but what you receive if they don’t know you’ll be reviewing the wigs is a basic unit with barely any precision or skillful color.

I have photos of all 3 units if I could post them here I would

I have wigs from RPGshow that cost half of what these do and the color is always very similar to the photos and the wigs never have a bunch of short hairs or anything the only thing I don’t like about rpgshow is they don’t have a transparent lace option. If they did I would have never messed with zeeelle

I've been waiting two weeks for my…

I've been waiting two weeks for my order. The money has left my account, but nothing has been sent. Alot of back and forth with customer Service to no avail. I wasn't even sent an order confirmation via email or a tracking number. Thank got I copied the number on the 'thanks for your order' screen.

Now, I'm fed up. I just want a refund, but even that is proving difficult.
