I worked for this fraudulent company one year ago. And like others who have been in the same situation have still to be paid. The management are bullies and who prey upon the vulnerable and belittle the staff as well as the customers… STAY WELL AWAY!! Do not use this company.. charlatans!!!
One Star ⭐️ too many imo

Got a cold call and did a short survey. Told the sales rep I was only tentatively interested but as I would be at home the following day, I was happy to let someone come and do a survey. Got a further call the day of the survey to check if my wife would be here. Told them she was busy and wouldn’t be here most of the day. This led to attempt to pressure me into changing the time so that she would be here. I told them to forget it. As others have warned, this company seems to use high pressure sales techniques. Will not be using them in the future.

Avoid this company at all costs. They were not registered with MCS when they installed my solar panels in July 2022 but promised that they were registering and could back date my certificate. They then informed me that as they only registered with MCS in December 2022, they cannot provide me with a certificate which means that I will NEVER be able to claim any money down for excess energy going to the grid.
I agree with all the comments made - appallingly bad communication, they do not comply with their own advertiased complaints procedure and I have written 3 formal letters of complaint and have had no response to any of them.... and as for getting a call back when you phone - forget it. Do not use them. I wish I had researched better when I engaged them last year.

Since last August 22 the
Solar Battery 5.8kW installed by Zest Energy in February 21has not been functioning. We have had numerous calls to Zest, have been promised all sorts of explanations and promised to have the problem resolved. Also the battery has a 10 year guarantee . However after we felt we were just being fobbed off, a letter from our solicitor was sent to Zest in an attempt to get a resolution to the problem. We have a had no response at all. This has been a very upsetting, and disappointing experience with this company, We are stuck with a battery doing nothing.

major problems if anything should go wrong as for service there hasn't been any Avoid do not use today I went up on my roof to see if there was any obvious issues with the solar panels was surprised and annoyed to find all the micro inverters laying on the roof not a single one has been attached to the frames can’t complain as they no longer pick up the phone

If I could choose zero stars I would...cold calling, pushy sales, prey on elderly and vulnerable, charge huge amounts then drag their feet when things aren't working as they should. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Really keen to take my money - battery installed fairly quickly however it turns out they never gave me the correct app for my phone so I wasn't aware that the battery obviously wasn't working correctly. When I noticed there was not light on (in attic) I contacted them. Several phone calls later - being told by young voices that they were happy to "reach out" to me and would inform the manager I eventually emailed - that was August - an engineer came in December and said "oh its not working" - I am still waiting - the last response I got was that they were trying to contact the manufacturers - happy to take the money but not to help after - worst company I have dealt with

I was sold a complete solar set up during which time my order was changed several times until it was completely different. The survey was ok but the installation was a nightmare. Holes were knocked in our walls and left unrepaited, cables tackled onto our Victorian woodwork, piles of rubbish left at our door. Worst was the staff the agent only spoke to me to alter the set up and increase the price then when I texted him to complain about constant delays he lied to his manager telling him that I had called him three times on Christmas Day which I had not. The manager then became aggressive and started shouting at
Me. As a registered disabled pensioner I found extremely disturbing and reported it to the police. I agree with many of the other comments that this company should be avoided.

Zest Energy just cold-called me on home landline (breaking Telephone Preference Service regs).

First introductory call (07384546041), then second call to discuss survey (07554431663) then third call (01314673257) from female sales manager to confirm survey visit for early afternoon today. Apparently my wife must be in the house with me - WHY ? "company policy and we want to impress you so that you come back and deal with us again" WHY ? "we want to tell you how the system works" for an hour !!
Sounds like a hard sell approach.
Sales manager was pretty abrupt on the phone.

Awful experience .
Salesman was ok until his line manager phoned him up at told him that if we had applied for the hse loan to not waste anymore time and to leave this sounded very offensive and in appropriate . The main boss phoned me 30 min later to tell me a different story . But he is looking into it .
This has put me off dealing with them ever and very wary of sales tactics coming to my house . Terrible company to deal with but at least never had to give them any money like others review i read . Take care

The phone number is a call center they don't get back to you for days
Will not reply to emails
Arrange for engineers to come and they don't arrive at all
Job was rushed and as of today still not complete
I have taken 4 data off for them not to appear
I could nor recommend them at all

Further to my last review on here, 9 weeks later and am still no further on! 1 visit from engineer to be told we need a new invertor!
The owner messaged on my review asking me to email and he would look at it as a matter of urgency! I did and no answer!
That is 2 months and 1 week of our guarantee gone!! Absolutely disgusted with this company. Worst purchase ever!!!

DO NOT Trust this company!!!!! They will come out and hit you with the old double glazing scam pressure tactics “of only 1 left!!!” “the price goes up next week!!” Etc…. Etc… However we did pay the deposit in good faith. This was a huge mistake as the company will not now communicate or return calls! We have sent a cancellation letter by recorded delivery and now need to take further legal steps to recover our £1000 deposit. This has totally put us off having a solar package installed in our house if this is how they behave.

Zest Energy installed a solar panel and battery storage at our house in early July. They had not come back to finish off the job a number of weeks later and we had to chase them up to do it. We are still waiting on them to complete the install completely and are not answering my emails. I would suggest you avoid this company as they are very unprofessional.

Salesman pressured my dad into buying solar panels for double the price of everywhere else. Sat for 3 hours refusing to leave offering my dad discount after discount to sign. Broke gdpr legislation in his house as well as after he fleeced him of a £1000 deposit. Once ordered the cancellation form was filled in and sent away recorded post the next day - 5th October 2022. Zest energy signed for this on the 7th October and on the 9th October he was ringing my dad up breaking gdpr rules again as it was my mums name and bank card used to place order. Trying to pressure him into staying asking him to send over the make reviews’ already online and in national papers. Told to ring the ‘office’ regarding the refund and as of 18th October 2022 we still have no received acknowledgment of cancellation nor the refund. Disgusting customer service. Let alone stealing £1000 from a disabled man. Although from other reviews I found after the sale this isn’t new. Paul was the salesman.

I requested a loft insulation quote from Insulation Scotland by completing an online form. Within a few hours I had a call from Zest Energy, who sent out a person that same afternoon. He gave me a presentation on his laptop, and then went to look at the loft. It turns out he did not even have a torch with him. His calculations of the size of the loft was 75% higher than the real area of the attic. He was also very keen on selling his foam insulation against the room, and not mineral wool on the ceiling. His price was at least 9 times higher than ceiling blankets, and he was pushing for an immediate answer whether I wanted to go ahead. He also refused to give a written quote, and said the price will be on the contract that will be brought to me to sign. On reflection, this appeared to be a hard sell, and I will definately not make use of their services.
