I bought my first pair in the early 1990's, my dad stole them and wore them as is downtime trousers. He has just recently been buried in them as he loved them so much. In all the years of use the only change was how soft they became. I have now bought a couple of new pairs and plan on keeping them myself. Great quality, great patterns, great value and service.

Zims are FAB, and be patient
Zims are the best. Love the Zimbabwean craft; the colours, patterns, quality and beautiful overall design. I bought made to measure trousers and they are stunning. There’s a little “but”; the took 3 months to arrive with very little communication or warning of the wait. They did come and Johnny got in touch. Phew! And so worth the wait.

Thanks so much, Julian, we really appreciate you giving the time to share. Time in Africa seems to flow at a different pace, so I hear you and will make a note to make it clear on the website. We can make an order in a week or so, but when it comes to getting that order across the planet we have to wait for the " taxi" to be full.
We do that here in Africa, a taxi will only move if it has enough passengers . Your taxi took ages to fill up, and you were one of the first to " take your seat " ,while the last passenger only waited a week or so :) Im glad you think it was worth it !
If you order from the current stock on the website we can get your order to you in a few days. Royal Mail is a fantastic service, in our experience.
Zimbabalooba trousers are great!
Our latest pair of Zimbabalooba trousers arrived quickly and are great - we've had at least six pairs over the years and they're always great. Getting rather expensive but still worth it.

Thank you David. I wonder if you have heard of " burgernomics" ?
I ask because over the last 30 years we have made the same product and watched the price of making it climb. Burgernomics is a means to measure the reality, which is actually the value of our money shrinking before our eyes. In 1980, when we first started Zimbabalooba, a Big Mac was less than one pound, in 2025 it is 5 time more. The Pound is 5 times less than it was in 1980!
That's why we have to keep increasing our price.
Customer Service is Superb
I am a VERY long term customer of Zimbabalooba trousers. I bought my first pair in the 1990s for hill walking in Scotland. Colourful, individual and comfortable. I've bought countless pairs over the years and I can't fault the product. It's only recently that I haqve found it necessary to engage in dialog with the company after receiving a pair of trousers which were incorrectly lebelled (1st time this has happened). The label implied they were my size, but the the garment was too small. I email Zimbabalooba and their attitude to customer service is simply "Outstanding" They have gone to great lengths to fix the problem. No arguements about the need to replace he incorrectly labelled product. Great Products and now I can confirm. Outstanding Custom er Service

Firstly, I like the products; I have had several pairs of Verts and shorts over the years, more than ten! The colourful designs are eye-catching and great conversation starters: pure cotton, well-made, good fit, and long-lasting.
Secondly, I admire the company ethos. Wearing Zimbabalooba clothing is a great connection with the people who make the gear. Johnny's photos and blog updates make one feel that this is personal rather than just business.
Finally, the website is easy to use, and if there are questions, Johnny always answers promptly and politely.

Too true,Daphne. You can wear them any where and for a long time. I had a German customer, though, who said he couldn't take the bin out in his trousers, as he was worried the neighbours would judge him badly. Personally, I dont mind what the neighbours think :)
Ethical, hard wearing and characterful
I just love these trousers- my first pair are now about 20 years old, so I have treated myself to a new pair. They are extremely comfortable and hard wearing. I love the company ethics and personal touch. Would absolutely recommend them.

Thanks so much for your kind words. Just a word on the word " verts " I called the trousers verts because of their association ( in the beginning) with people who went "vert"ical . Such as climbers and flyers of paraglyders and parachutes but also because " vert" is green 💚 in French. Not that I am French but it's worth thinking about our nature ! And we do - verts are natrual 100 % cotton and the dyes we use are certified green 💚

Slight issue with availability of the size/design/item I wanted, but this was highlighted and resolved immediately with the minimum of fuss. Goods received so far are top quality - I can't recommend these Zimbabalooba products and service highly enough. Thanks!

Love my Verts
These are my 7th pair of verts and they're great. Comfy as it gets and look good too. Id like to see a few new designs now and again. Please bring back the Sheep ones. I got a pair 15 or so years ago and they're starting to look a bit worn now
